When I found Chandler Chiropractic and Dr. Schloemp, I was in so much pain that I could hardly bend over. I had horrible sciatica pain that I could barely sit for more than 15 minutes at a time, much less drive across town to my work. From the first step in the door, the Chandler Chiropractic team is so warm and welcoming. Dr. Schloemp did my initial assessment and was sincerely concerned with my neck and back pain. Four babies in five years really took a toll on my posture and was causing significant discomfort in all areas of my life. I couldn't walk without shooting pain down my legs; any kind of house work or activity would cause debilitating agony for days. Dr. Schloemp was a great listener and asked thorough and thoughtful questions. With the heart of a teacher, he was able to explain to me what was happening with my spine and show me on my X-rays where the problem areas were. He immediately showed me some exercises to start stretching out those areas and strengthen weaken muscles, followed by adjusting me. That day I was able to see a difference! I was a true believer, I made sure I was consistent with my prescribed plan and didn't miss any appointments. It wasn't but a few weeks before I was completely pain free! No stars. Walk in for an adjustment. Instead, get xrays done to make sure it's safe for an adjustment and have a better idea of anything that could be going on back there. Go in two days after xrays are taken to be told that I am on the road to a spine disease but this gentleman has a plan of what to do in order to fix this. Then presents me his plan of 36 adjustments, pt, and etc. "It usually costs 3k but because of us using our credit card card system less than every visit, we save money which makes you save money so either one lump sum of $2400 or three payments of $790. Which one works best for you?" Mind you, me 26 yr old male, never received an adjustment or been to a chiropractor before thought I could go in and possibly feel what and adjustment could feel like. ( I enjoy youtube vids of back cracks) I said that this was not the proper time to go over pricing for something that I haven't felt yet. I came in for an adjustment, not to be told what is wrong with me and how it can be fixed then be asked to commit to a price in order to fix it. I then asked if he was going to give me an adjustment or not, he proceeded to tell me that what I would be doing is yo-yo chiropractic work. I told him "well I am a yo-yo chiropractic patient right now, are you giving me an adjustment or not?" He said "well I'd have to do this and this but usually we like to have a plan...." I got up and walked out proclaiming "if it's that much of a hassle sir, I will be leaving now." Got up and left. I've never had to walk out of an office before because of anything ever. I'm not trying to sound dramatic, but I'm about to sound dramatic. One day, I had a major migraine, and I googled random chiropractors in the area. I was hoping one of them could snap my neck and put me out of my misery. You know--the sweet release of death. I made an apportionment here, and then I read the reviews, and I was like, "Aw heck naw." When I called back in to cancel, they were like, "Just try us out, and see if your mind changes." Don't tell me how to live my life. Well, I tried them out, and my mind changed. You know how you can judge a restaurant's cleanliness by their bathrooms? In today's age, I base how cool some places are based on their website. Well, I judged this place too quickly based on the 1998-style neopets website. I even came in and was like, "Your website needs a bit of work." But man, I was wrong. This place is sleek. My neck and back was hurting since I've been playing position one hard carry on DotA 2 for a bit. My teammates were so heavy, and they just made my back ache so bad. Learn to play on the east coast server, instead of US West, you know? I'm kidding. I just have terrible posture when I work and play games all day. I get frequent migraines and headaches, and no matter how many times my parents have smacked me with chopsticks to scold me to sit with better posture, I have to protest because I'm not about that life. My first visit, they grabbed a few X-rays of my hunchback of Notre Dame spine and neck, and I couldn't tell the difference between my spine X-Ray or the curvy wrinkles under my eyes after a 13 hour shift. They already captured my attention with the spine pictures, but I was in too deep so I opted for the 50 visits. The ones WITH physical therapy because I know my own lack of self discipline to do any exercises at home. And I also know of all of you who act like you're "going to do the exercises at home" could probably stand to lie to yourselves a little less, so if you're there anyway, paying a little extra keeps you accountable. I kind of noticed the differences after a month of coming. I honestly don't remember the last time I had a migraine. And I don't massage my arm muscles as much. I feel like my mood is happier because I realized I didn't have to wake up feeling kind of achey and cranky? I felt like I protested going to the chiropractor for a bit. You know when you're young and get bruises or sprain your arm, and it heals in a few days or something. But when you get old, your body starts betraying you, and you can pick up a cup of water and throw out your back? Well, now I have just accepted that time has taken me to older age, and it's time to deal with it head first, instead of letting it envelope you like a blanket of darkness until you become a Scrooge. Speaking of Scrooge. When I first came in, I didn't want to talk to anyone because I'm not trying to get to know about everyone and their lives. I'm kind of an introvert, and I'm usually peopled-out by the time I get to the practice. I began coming in like Scrooge or the Grinch and suddenly felt a shift to positive change as time passed, but dangit. I came in one day huhuing about my job problems to a couple of them, and they took extra measures to help my mental health as well. Why did I have to get to know these people, ya know? Everyone here is kind and nice and all that jazz. To the point where I do the little gun-finger hand motions to say hello. Some days, I'll even throw in a wink if I want to add more flair in that day. You know, a little paprika to my greeting. But time to get to know the employees has brought some sort of warmth to my cold heart. As time passes, I'll eventually run out of visits, and have no real reasons to interact with any of them. I'll come by once in a while to get adjusted, and maybe I'll come to find out the staff find new opportunities elsewhere. I'll probably never see them again in my life. I know I'm writing a whole narrative here, but the point is that they not only fix you physically, but mentally as well. I could do the little, "You need to come here! My neck and back feel so much better!" spiel. But I'm not the boss of you. Doctors provide great care! It's only been a couple of weeks, and I'm feeling much better!

The reason why I started at this facility is due to an injury from indoor cycling and body pump at my local gym. I also spend most of my workday at a desk with a computer. Every chiropractor facility requires you fill out paperwork of an injury and any medications that you are taking. There are pros and cons at this chiropractic facility. The pros are in my opinion they are genuine and care about your personal health. The cons are that the people who are teaching you the exercises are inconsistent. One physical assistant will show you one routine and stretches and then another physical assistant will tell you to do a completely different set of routine and stretches. Let's talk about payment plans. Chandler Chiropractic will give various payment plans. As a consumer, the smart way is to go pre-payment plan if you can afford it. They will give you the cost of insurance plan, partial payment plan, and prepaid plan. The reason I bring this up is that I went with prepaid payment plan and I found out they were still charging my insurance. Sneaky right? This could be double-dipping. In my opinion, they are expensive. I decide to finally part ways and joined another chiropractor facility. My treatment took about a year and I left this facility when I felt better from my injury. FYI: They will hard sell you when your treatment is done with plans that are still expensive. The chiropractor decides the length of your treatment and not the consumer. I know every consumer symptoms are different but they will milk you for your money. ***Updated Review*** 9/11/19: This is for Martha K. of Chandler Chiropractic since you decided to respond on yelp. The owner did try to contact me but I was on vacation and I saw your reply on yelp. So I am going respond back to you here. Regarding the chiropractor care agreement on 10/15/18, we had an understanding that I decided with the prepaid plan and my high deductible insurance will not be filed against. However, I did inquire with my insurance and they did not pay you. You should probably train your sales people or physical assistant to communicate or explain the different type of plans thoroughly with or without insurance. My answer to your optimal recommendation of care response. You should find an alternate solution than providing me a piece of paper requiring 70 visits during 10 month time period. It can be portrayed as this is the final recommendation. Take it or leave it. Finally to the Yelp reviewer on 9/6/2019. You should not attack other yelpers and like you said "You were not there." I received good care at Chandler Chiropractic. But I must say this to Medicare patients. Be sure you know initially, rather than months later, what your out-of-pocket charges will be. Our present chiropractor, as well as all our other doctors, have had no problem working with Medicare and giving a customary write-off to retired folks. Hope this helps you. Response to the owner from my husband and me: The issue was not with our previous insurance company, in which benefits ended March 1, 2022. Charges were never submitted to them. We were on Medicare solely by March 1. The issue is with the way charges to Medicare were dealt with once our Medicare deductibles were satisfied. At that point, Chandler Chiro charged Medicare $75 each visit, in which Medicare paid Chandler Chiro $31 a visit, and then Chandler Chiro charged the remaining $44 to us as the copay. Since we had paid Chandler Chiro a large lump sum ahead of time, and because we assumed there would be a smaller copay (big mistake), we were surprised that our balance had depleted so quickly. We were then told if we wanted to continue to receive chiropractic care, we would have to continue to pay $44 a visit and show up for two visits each month. read more

I stopped going because of a few reasons. Mainly I felt that their prices are too high and I found a cheaper alternative that works just the same as far as adjustments to my back. I had been seeing Dr Schloemp for over 2 years and during that time I had seen employees come and go. Over all towards the end I didn't feel like my business was appreciated because on many occasions I wasn't even greeted properly. Saying hello with your face buried in a computer monitor isn't very genuine in my book and sometimes nothing was even said. Many times their scheduling was off also even though they use a program for it. Many times I went in and they didn't know I had an appointment. This rolls into my next issue. They don't have a good system to inform you of how many visits were left (I paid for a year of service in advance) and unless you keep track for yourself you just have to trust them. Overall Dr S is a competent chiropractor but other areas of the business needs work. I can no longer recommend them to friends and family. read more

I came in with an unbearable pain that left me unable to sit comfortably without shifting from side to side every minute, laying down was so painful it made it hard to sleep , or stand up straight or for long periods of time without getting shooting down my leg. I was officially diagnosed with scoliosis my junior year of high school. The doctors called it "mild scoliosis", and didn't really put me on any sort of plan to prevent future issues. I am a long distance runner, I'm a Teacher, and I serve on the weekends. The ability to be active is very important for my lifestyle. I am now almost 24 years old, and I have always just disregarded my back issues. I am a little stubborn, but also very busy. Little did I know over the past eight years the wear and tear on my spine had become almost irreversible. A month ago I woke up in the middle of the night immobile. The office is so clean and very modern it makes you feel good when you walk in! The first consultation was very informative and made me feel comfortable to continue care with them. The receptionists are great at the front desk and they communicate so well with you and are very flexible with your personal schedule. I've been to 20 Chiro's over the years, as I've lived many different places. There's two kinds: basic and value added. The basic crack your neck/back and maybe have you do stretches, but that's about it. The value added spend more time with a patient and combine the adjustments with other therapies. The value added Chiro's are also generally called sports chiropractors. Look for someone who does Graston technique, active release, etc. and ask how long the Chiro spends with the patient. At chandler chiro it's like 5 mins. This is a basic chiro. There's better out there that do more for the patient. The patient is adjusted while in a room next to the other patients. This is a first in my experience with over 20 Chiro's. Shared room adjustment is most obviously to keep the tempo up and time with patient down. Unfortunate. read more

This is a very professional chiropractor place. My neck was detected straight causing pains and really tight shoulder issues and I started my plan with Chandler Chiropractor from early March. They provided a very thorough plan and have well trained staff to guide you how to get started and being very careful about your status. I feel I have made some progress so far. Still feel very tight shoulders some mornings but it always goes away a lot after adjustment here. Will continue my plan and look forward to seeing more improvement. I felt like I wanted to leave a review for this place I just started going to. I will mention that I've only been there twice so far but first impressions say a lot these days. And let me tell you, my first impression is nothing short of awesome. I have battled back problems a lot through my life. And I have been to some good ones, and some schlocky ones. Lately I have been having increased sciatic issues. Usually it's more annoying than anything but for the last month it's been pretty constant. Uncomfortable to say the least. I finally decided enough was enough and decided to seek professional help once again. When I called, I was greeted by an INCREDIBLY friendly lady who instantly was sympathetic and interested in my story. She then stunned me when she asked if I could come up, like NOW. I was like, really? She said yep. So off I went. How many doctors can you say schedule your initial appointment within MINUTES. That's insanely awesome. After my check in, I sat with Reuben for awhile while we discussed my back (pun intended) story. Reuben is nothing short of incredible. Patient, friendly and super understanding. We clicked instantly. It calmed me immensely. He explained some stuff to me in a way that was easy to follow and gave me confidence he knew what he was talking about. I then saw the chiro. He checked my back and took the time to explain each Lumbar and what they affect on the body. I was shocked. I have a lot of issues, and to think most of them could be tied into my spine was pretty revealing. He then took a bunch of xrays and explained he didn't want to start adjusting until we got the xray results back. This made sense since how can you fix something when you don't know the extent of the issue? But they DID stick some special tape on my back that's supposed to relieve tension. It did help a bit. They set me an appointment for Friday and on my way home I realized they never even asked for money. So clearly money is not their number one concern. If I was a jerk, I could have disappeared forever and never paid a dime. This was highly reassuring. So many chiros think they can cure cancer if you just pay em enough. So I went in Friday. We went over the xrays. Reuben explained them in depth and it was easy to understand and see why I was having the issues I was having. I spoke with a different chiro this time and he was just as good as the last. Perhaps better. His bedside manner was top notch. We set a treatment plan, length of time and of course, pricing. Pricing was actually better than I thought based on the number of visits I'll have to go through to correct things. The payment plan was pretty flexible. They're not trying to "stick it to me" or cause me to go broke. The Chiro then did a pretty quick adjustment. He obviously started light. This will increase over the course of my treatment. And for once, I'm not dreading future visits. I have seen some of the other reviews recently about "lack of caring", being "expensive", or just flat out "meh". I can't disagree more. Perhaps they came in with a poor demeanor and projected that on their visit? I dunno. I wasn't there for their visit. But I can't disagree more with their assessment. In fact, as I was typing up this VERY review, I got a text from the chiro asking how I'm doing after my adjustment?! Seriously? That's frikking stunning and incredible. And to refute the reviewer who said she didn't even know when her appointments were, I was actually given two sheets of paper with every single appointment for the next 10 months. This place wants your money not to help you. I spent 2 hours there for X-rays and no relief. Went back to look over X-rays and they wanted to sell me on 60 visits over 8 months. I didn't speak to the doctor during any of the recommendation. I spoke to a guy who talked about money and financing care I'm not even sure I need. Two visits and no adjustment. I walked out as a doctor visit has never felt so slimy in my life only to have the main doctor follow me outside to debate me over how I felt on my experience. I have heard of monthly plans which I understand but this was not so simplistic. I have never walked out of a dr office in my life but this place isn't about the patient feeling better as much as it was taking my money. I will go somewhere that doesn't make me feel talked down to and wants to take care of my pain. read more

Last week I called to see if I can get in that day or I would be considering going to the er just to relieve the pain I felt .they got me in right away and I am looking forward to feeling better . I've gotten three adjustments so far and one pt and I am able to function at home and work which I wasn't able to do. From the receptionist to both drs. And to financial , I feel like I've made a great choice . They even stayed open an hour later after there closing hours just to explain in detail what was going on with me and that showed true support. Love this place!!! It's clean and nice and the entire staff is professional and really knowledgeable. This is the best chiropractic office I've seen, and I feel like they hold themselves to high standards. I'm going there because of a rear-end accident which resulted in TMJ and whiplash with bulging disks. And this guy is really helping. It makes me nervous to get adjusted because I'm worried it will make it worse somehow, but when I leave there Im in less pain and he's even helping with the TMJ which is a freaking miracle! If you have TMJ u will understand- when it's bad it's really bad. read more
