This store is always empty but you have to Line up until a sales person is available. You cant even look at anything without a person hovering down your neck. Horrible customer service and they never seem to have anything in stock. They want to push whatever they want to sell, not what you want to buy. They want to seem so exclusive but they truly don't know customer service. This is the ONLY location that is so horrible. You go to the Chanel store and its a difference like night and day. This location is obviously run by a person with a lot of biases already in mind. No bug deal, I rather go spend my money where I am welcomed. I've been trying to find a certain card holder for my mom, but since covid, all luxury stores have low inventory. I checked at all Chanel stores while being on vacation and still no luck. My husband knew a person at Chanel Houston boutique and asked the person to check for him. Soon enough I received a text from Hao that she had my item! I was so excited! She sent me a link to purchase since I was out of town and I set up the time to pick up later on the week. I arrived to the boutique and Brittany assisted me and located my item and checked me out. I visited the store this past week to ask questions about the new collection being launched on June 11. There is a preview that is extended to VIP customers. The sales associate was very adamant about how exclusive the event is and that you have to have a overall spend of a certain dollar amount. I have more than fulfilled that amount, but they do not include European purchases, which is ridiculous. The reason why people shop in Europe is because the customer service is better, they have a wider range of selection and you don't have to deal with fighting over inventory. This is why a lot of US stores have horrible reputation for their customer service. They alienate their clientele and make everything seem like it's super exclusive. When I was not helped in the boutique, I kindly took my business down to Saks where they were more than gracious enough to accommodate me. Also, why are we still lining up like cattle when Covid there is no need for social distancing post pandemic?! read more

DO NOT GO TO THIS STORE and rethink buying CHANEL. Employee Brittany Boatner (boutique facilitator) started the case, was unhelpful and didn't follow through on many of her offers to "help". In the most recent call, she gave me a wrong number to speak to the manager. When I was passed off to store manager Michael (who refused to give me his name during the call), he was hostile, disrespectful, and told me false claims (like they didn't have my wallet). They are now refusing to answer the phone and hang up when I ask questions. I have been told several times that operations manager Monet Young will call, she never does. I have recorded the most recent calls to prove my case. I was a loyal customer for many years, purchasing many purses, wallets, shoes, jewelry. While the prices are high, the items used to last, so the investment was worth it. I purchased my mom a wallet for her birthday. Within a few months of normal use, the outside color and inside stain started to wear off (you can see in the photo). Clearly the leather is defective. I sent it to this Houston boutique, after speaking with manager Monet Young. They said it couldn't be repaired and there is nothing more that can be done. Worse than the issue of the wallet has been the customer service! Chanel clearly doesn't care about customer service because you can't get ahold of anyone. Hate this location, for multiple reasons. I hate the fact that this is the only location in Houston, and they must make a rule to hire only the most unpleasant people on Earth at this location. I have been to so many Chanel's around the world, including France, and this is by far the worse one. I have purchased multiple purses at this location and I would rather go fly to another state than purchase from this Chanel or the Dallas one at this point. The sales associates here are a joke, I have come in inquiring about a few items I've seen online, and the girl argued with me that it didn't exist and that I wasn't looking at the right website. Are you freaking kidding me, I know what I was looking up and pulled it up for her to see. She said they don't show you the inside of items, which they do on small leather goods, like wallets, which was what I was looking for. I wanted a quilted calfskin wallet. The ones in particular, she told me they don't exist nor has Chanel ever made it. I then knew she had no idea what she was talking about and this was a waste of my time. I have never shopped there again. I've gone to New York and made happy purchases with the amazingly super nice associates there as well as in California, who know their product as well as how to be professional. Let alone during my travels here, however, Monica made it happen and I couldn't be happier. I went to exchange something I received for my birthday, and get something that is more useful for me. They acted like they are giving something for free. I was even buying something more expensive. The manager's attitude was like I was from Kmart. I am professional and educated and my clothes were descent. But these hourly employees, were rude and I came out crying.... Chanel, you always leave me disappointed. I've had a fairly negative experience almost every time I've visited Chanel, whether it's been in NY or Houston, and this recent time was no exception. I was in the market for a cross-body, and I came in here to briefly browse first and then returned after browsing at a few other shops. When I asked for help, the woman who helped me seemed knowledgeable but cold. She made me feel like I was inconveniencing her, and she never spoke up the bags at all. She, in fact, warned us that the leather wore like other leather, which is fair and a good point, but when I'm in the market for a bag I want honesty and salesmanship, and I only received the former. Chanel is always the most expensive store I go into, but I do happen to love their things. I asked for the product name and number of a specific bag, and the saleswoman had me write down the number myself....If she thinks my boyfriend, the financier of my bag, didn't notice, she was dead wrong. She seems to have assumed that I couldn't or wouldn't have bought the bag, which is funny because my boyfriend was ready to buy it and offered me that particular bag when we left had I wanted it. After we both discussed how she had me write down my own number and treated me like I was the help, it was out of the question that we'd spend our money there. Salespeople, don't be so quick to assume you know who has the means and the will to purchase your products, because that's the quickest way to lose out on this sale and all future ones. read more

First of all, I love this mall in Houston, TX - The Galleria! It is amazing how all these great stores can be conveniently located next to each other in one huge mall (kind of reminds me of The South Coast Plaza), and they have an in-door ice skating rink..cool! San Francisco, CA boutique is good too, but all the stores are outside, which means more walking and dealing with rainy or cold weather during the winter. The Chanel attendees were very friendly and helpful; the lady who helped me was such a sweet, older-looking woman and was persistent in finding me a new purse in the back storage room. She was patient with me (I'm a very picky shopper), and was willing to sell me the perfect handbag. I ended up buying my favorite handbag (aka, my love, coco) from here so I have no complaints about this boutique. When I visit Houston again, there's no doubt I'm visiting Chanel again. On a side note: Chanel will begin doing sales online in November 2008 on their new, private website that is exclusively for members only, and then it will soon become available to the public.
