Upon arrival she was organized and kept on schedule but was flexible enough to accommodate a tardy arrival. She was pleasant, explained what she was preparing and why she prepared the food the way she did. She engaged with our guests in a friendly and educational manner and shared ideas for our guests for future events - which our guests were extremely excited about. The quality of the food was great. The presentation was excellent and everything tasted wonderful. Her desserts were the highlight. While I am not typically a fan of red velvet cake, hers spoiled me for future versions. I highly recommend Dana and we look forward to hosting an event where she presides as an instructor at our cooking class.

She clearly slaves over a hot stove over night making sure every detail is exactly right just so her guests can enjoy some of her delicious food. Her Breakfast casserole is one of the greatest pieces of food I have ever had the pleasure to put in my mouth, If great food is not enough, Kim (the Owner) also went out of her way to make sure I got a piece of casserole before the dish was devoured by other happy customers. What other Restaurant goes out of their way to make sure you get fed. Without Kim I would have gone hungry. At this point I'm sure you are already getting in the car on your way to Kim's Potluck station but believe it or not there is still more!!! Kim's Potluck station also provides LIVE entertainment. David warmly greeted us and seated us and checked in on us throughout the evening. He was gentle and attentive and we really appreciated him. Our serve was Tyler L and he was also fantastic- warm and kind and on top of things- great personality. We ended up in a little room all to ourselves, which was really nice. We were surprised it wasn't more crowded but we did get reservations for 5:15 and most people probably like to eat a little later. :) We were there for two hours which was nice and slow but pretty well paced. It's a really pretty place! It was also really clean for such an older building. I want to read up on its history. The menu changes regularly and is not up to date online. There were about five options for each course. I enjoyed my berry mimosa and my husband enjoyed his wine. We also accidentally got a lavender lemonade cocktail which my husband thought was very good too. There was an amuse bouche of a tiny caprese salad. Then we got our soups- they were the perfect temperature but my tomato bisque was too salty for my taste. My husband really liked his lobster bisque. When David noticed I didn't finish my soup he asked if I wanted to try something else- what? I have never heard that before- I said no thank you because I was surprised but I thought that was really thoughtful. There was a three cheese bread and a ciabatta bread and they were warm and came with a pretty slice of wildflower butter! We then got an "intermezzo" of lemon sorbet to "cleanse our palates" which was very tart and also just felt so fancy. My main dish was beef bourguignon and it came out with a flower on the plate- it was gorgeous. I was surprised that it was just meat and not stew but I absolutely loved it- incredible flavor and super tender- wow. It was served over a smashed yellow potato with a side of some kind of squashes. My husband got the land and sea entree and it was shrimp and elk loin with a blueberry sauce which he thought was delicious. He also had the squashes and yellow potato too. Our desserts took quite a while to come out- mine was creme brûlée which was very yummy but a very small portion under the crispy shell. It was served on a chilled slab that said "Happy Birthday" on it! My husband got the cheesecake which had lots of little flowers on it- very pretty and he thought it tasted great. This is the most expensive restaurant I think I've ever been to- I was kind of shocked at the prices. But it's a truly lovely place and a really lovely experience with beautiful and delicious food and excellent service. It would be wonderful for a special occasion!

I messaged on here and quickly had an appointment to come see the venue! We walked in and my husband said, "I think this is the place it just is so fitting for us." We did a walk through and fell in love with the venue, location and the fact that we had pretty much free rein over what details we wanted. We booked the venue for December 2018! We picked out a caterer, Baker, one of their preferred DJs, we did our our cocktail hour, one of their preferred bartenders, and Uriah as our photographer! The day of was so perfect for me. I picked out decor, table setting stuff, and all of that extra stuff and the people decorating just really made it look more beautiful than I had ever imagined. It was perfect. Even with a few hiccups, the crew just went with it and made it such a beautiful day. I so highly recommend this venue! Especially so you can have that personal touch on everything!

The castle is cute, not quite the grand ones you see in Europe but might say it's grand for its (only) kind in Colorado Springs! The drive up to the grounds is scenic. There's a guard post where you get confirmed for your visit and then are given a day pass to enter the grounds, enjoy the different sites and trek the trails. There is a carriage house to the side of the castle where you have a gift shop and receptionists that give you a map of the grounds and hiking trails. You even sign a waiver before you hike! Went in the canyon rock trail which was rated a moderate trail to hike but highly recommend it if it's the only one you choose to go on for the day. It's about a mile up and the views are the best. There are steel wooden slat benches along the way although the modern touch takes away from the ruggedness of the scenery. Wish they were just plain wooden benches! There were a couple of trails that weren't depicted accurately on the trail map e.g. where one just ended up as a dead end. Overall worth the reservation for afternoon tea to be able to spend time in the grounds and hike the trails. The beauty of it all includes the wild animals that you see on the property like pheasants and mountain goats that just roam. Highly recommended destination!

I recently reached out to Heather to create weekly customized meal plans for me. I'm shocked and impressed by how much I have learned about food and my body. I've been focusing on eating more natural foods and Heather's recipes are right on target - they are centered on quality protein, healthy carbs, and fresh foods like roasted tomatoes with salmon, salsas, fresh soups, and easy scallop dishes. I've even finally delved into making beans and grains the natural way! Forget relying on the sodium-laden canned beans and processed grains. Heather taught me how to whip up a week's worth of healthy beans and grains (I like adzuki and farro with a little fresh salsa), which I have for a protein-packed breakfast. She even introduced little known ingredients that help our bodies with digesting beans. It's hard to find easy, protein packed meals that keep me full, especially during the days I work out. I'm excited to go to the farmers' markets so that I can keep working with Heather on expanding my food repertoire. I definitely recommend her for meal plans, help with hosting dinner parties, and weekly meal prep. She's easy to reach, fun to work with, and super passionate. read more

I'm in a book club and thought that it would be a nice treat to have a healthy meal prepared for us. Heather provided me a menu with a variety of options to choose from. It was difficult to choose because everything sounded so scrumptious! She came to my house and prepared the food fresh. All my guests really enjoyed the meal from start to finished and appreciated all the knowledge Heather provided about nutrition and preparation of the food we were eating.
