Doc Cunnar is friendly and professional. he makes me feel safe and listened to when I talk to him. He keeps accurate notes digitally so they can be recalled. He is my PCP and Diabetes doctor. He is very knowledgeable about Diabetes care and knows about the different treatments and options and is willing to answer my questions about it. His nurses are professional also. I have weak veins and usually I have to get poked multiple times when I give blood but all 3 of the nurses must have been phlebotomists in prior positions because they all have found my veins and were able to make the process fast and painless. I am very happy with him and his whole team.

She is very sensitive and never rushes an appointment. She speaks in plain terms so I understand her and listens carefully to what I say. She is also a wonderful pediatrician. I recently had a son and I was so happy to be able to take him to her. She creates a very personal experience and is everything a family doctor should be. Finally, I especially recommend her for women who may have had problems with gynecological exams or young women/girls who are ready for their first exams. I had a bad experience once and Dr. Ellens really helped me through what used to be a very emotional and even frightening part of my annual physical. A random fee for a depression test even though I took no such test and was there on a cardiac followup. When I tried to call the billing, I was met with unintelligible customer service rep with a lot of background noise then they hung up on me. Figuring that the email contact on the bill would be a better chance, I sent them a message. I have heard nothing back in a week. If they want my money they need to explain why they charged what they did. There is no way to pay online and i would need to mail them a check. Given the way they handle the office, I'm not confident they will properly receive my check without a receipt. Avoid this place!

The worst part was that I had two coworkers also get physical's here for the first time and they were not charged a "new patient fee". It's dirty and crowded. I was so creeped out sitting there. However, the doctor charged me a lot. So... not free. The doctor was training a student or something. Before the doctor came in, I had to explain all my symptoms to the student. Then when the doctor finally came in, the student explained all of my symptoms to her, which I could have just done myself. It was embarrassing to say the least, hearing everything I had just said repeated back. The receptionists are not at all friendly and don't seem to understand questions. I even tried calling there after to find out if I was ever going to get a bill. They had no idea. It was like pulling teeth getting an answer. When I finally got a hold of the doctor, (who apparently works in several different offices, and therefore has several different phone numbers, all of which she doesn't answer) she told me to wait for the bill. After being in hold for 10 minutes, being passed around from nurses to repeat myself then had to hang up because they couldn't transfer me back to reception. Best part? When I arrived they didn't take my insurance (even after asking me over the phone what insurance I had). Bottom line, I took the day off work to see a doctor and that never happened. Since then he has moved at least 3 different times that I can count. In the beginning, I felt he was really, really great. He listened and always took his time (to a fault) talking to you about things. Since then, I have watched a steady decline. After his divorce, he sort of went into left field (one appointment on a Saturday morning he was in his office sleeping off a hangover which I had to wake him up from as we were the only ones in the office) and he started getting very "new-age" in his views on food and medicine. I appreciate his stand-point, but I don't need a 2 hour conversation about it and a laundry list of vitiamins I should be taking (including a push of his nutritional consultant) when all I want is a sore throat checked out. The first experience was bad but it's the second experience that prompted me to write this review. I would give him zero stars if it were an option. Dr. Close gave me a medication I need and have been taking for a few years. I went to refill it through my mail-order company and they said they could not refill it - I called and found out they need his "DEA number." I called the receptionist today and apparently he can no longer prescribe that medication - he no works with another doctor to prescribe it. I was not informed when this happened, and calls from my mail-order pharmacy to his office were not returned (the receptionist said going through everyone's file would take forever and that they did not receive a call, for what it's worth.) So today I'm scrambling to find a doctor to fulfill this prescription. That is on top of other bad experiences. I made the appointment for 7:30 so I could get to work by 9. He didn't even get there until about 8 a.m. The nurse drew blood and then Dr. Close came in and just talked to me about medicine and diet and other random stuff. I didn't stop him because I thought he was building to a point but he wasn't. He was called out of his office finally at about 9:15 and came back asking if I was in a hurry and I said well I wasn't but I was hoping to get to work by 9 and I'm already behind so I need to go. So he wrote me prescriptions and then said I need to come back in because we never did the actual appointment - checking my heart rate, breathing, etc. Finally, a few days after that the nurse called on a Friday afternoon and said my blood revealed a few things that we need to talk about. I missed the call but left two messages. I never received a return phone call. Who calls a patient and tells them there are a few things from their blood test to discuss and then doesn't follow up or return their calls? Avoid this doctor. I don't think there is any malicious intent but this is really basic stuff a doctor and his staff need to be able to do, and pretty serious. If you're wavering after reading the reviews, trust your gut and go somewhere else.
