This place is a scam! First they lure you in with a free dinner, then they tell u it's a $250 for a consultation but u can have it for $39. You buy it. The consultation is just them filling out your paperwork to bill your insurance for the that visit. Then they schedule u for another consultation where I am sure they would bill your insurance again. Thats when I said enough and because my insurance paid them I was refunded the $39. Wonder how many people know about the $39 refund? Dr Aimee practically laughed in our faces when we came to her for help in a consultation session. She wanted me to gang up with her on my partner, while she smiled cheerfully the whole time. She referred us to her cohort, Colin Ryan, and because we felt invested in getting help, we went to a session with him. He interrupted several times, jumping from topic to topic, joking about being on ADHD meds and inappropriate personal details of his romantic life. Nonetheless, we gleaned some insights from him and even more from his ridiculously inadequate handouts, shucked at us without explanation, once we had researched them online. We returned well in advance for a 7 pm appointment at great personal cost (they are far away and 7 pm is not convenient for our schedules), only to find the office locked and dark. No one has offered any explanation and no one answers the phone there when we call. No responses to voicemails, emails, or texts. Nothing! The office has ghosted us. How incredibly unprofessional from beginning to end. Avoid this place at all costs. They are not caring people but psychopaths themselves. Read all the bad reviews! It is likely that many if not most of the good ones were largely posted by coerced employees, relatives, and friends, as happens when people are running a fleecing station. Took a family member here with legitimate mental health issues and "Dr" Colin Ryan's advice was to abandon that family member. When we called him out on this advice, he ridiculed us. I am a 24 year old chronic pelvic pain patient, childhood trauma survivor, rape victim, and multiple suicide attempt survivor. Any hope that I had for living a "normal" life was trampled by countless doctors over countless years. I want to start off by saying how grateful I am to Dr. Aimee, Dr. Bernas, Dr. Husain, and Dr. Alicia. When I first came to the practice mid 2020, I had no hope left of ever living a pain free and fulfilling life, let alone living a life at all. I was turned away by countless doctors because there was "nothing more they could do" in terms of my pain treatment if the doctors even believed that I was in pain in the first place. All of my doctors at the Center for Integrative and Functional Health and Wellness worked together to develop the best treatment plan for me, and did whatever possible to make that plan a reality. You may feel that you are out of options, but this office has an abundance of knowledge on different approaches to wellness and health. I promise, there are more natural and potentially more effective methods of treatment out there besides what your modern medical providers are offering. Because there are so many different types of practitioners in the office, it is so easy to find a solution to whatever it is that life is throwing at you. This office is filled with some of the most dedicated and down to earth individuals that you will ever meet. I saw Dr. Aimee Harris Newon as a luxury. My insurance paid for it and it was nice to have an objective person to discuss my daily life. She didn't create problems that didn't previously exist nor did she do the cliche "so how do you feel about that?" In true feminist form, Dr. Aimee encouraged me to be confident, direct, and proactive. When grad school and work bombarded me with stress, she helped me develop coping skills to get through it with a positive but productive attitude. Dr. Aimee is able to gracefully maintain professionalism and objectivity even though I'm sure I threw her a curve ball. She saw one of my best friends too but she never mentioned her to me or confused our stories. A few criticisms. First, scheduling was generally easy, but I was extremely perturbed when I showed up for a scheduled meeting and she had someone else instead. She rescheduled me, but it was definitely inconvenient. Next, her billing company is incompetent. They didn't send me any bills. I found out through my insurance company that I had a huge overpayment. A year later her billing company sent me a bill for that time and said that I owed them. Still later, they discovered a glitch in their system and I suddenly no longer owed them. That issue was so obnoxious that I don't want to deal with them again. read more

This practice used to be great. I loved both my therapist and my psychiatrist. My wife even began seeing a therapist here as well at my recommendation. But then about a year ago things started to change. My wife's therapist quit, then my psychiatrist. A couple months later, my wife's new (second) therapist quit. The holistic health coach disappeared and they brought on new administrative staff. The entire atmosphere of this place changed. Every time I walked in here I could sense the frustration as I interacted with the staff. I even watched various people belittle the front desk associates. A couple months later my therapist quit. Then today when I called to get refills from the (new) psychiatrist I found out he's now gone as well...only lasted a couple months. The kicker...the medical doctor here isn't allowed to call in refills for me, I have to take time out of my day to make an appointment with her before they will allow refills. Doesn't matter that I've taken the same medication for several years now, because it's all about generating revenue. In between the last psychiatrists mutiny I had to do this as well, and it was literally me walking in and her handing me a prescription. It's not about protecting the patient it's about money. It's the same reason they offer Botox, which always seemed a bit strange to me being that they are a clinic for those struggling with mental health. Every time I have been in this place for the past six months someone has tried to sell me a service and it gets old. Avoid this place at all cost! The staff is rude and unprofessional. They have zero compassion. The employee turnover rate is frequent and there are reasons for that. Dr. Aimee is a narcissist and has the other doctors under her thumb. I've given this office many chances to make things right but it just got worse. I was threatened that I couldn't have my dr. Visit and they won't refill my prescriptions because there was a whopping $100 bill unpaid. I never received said bill. Of course I pay all of my bills. I'd been going to Dr. Bernas for many years. She doesn't listen and talks right over you. She kept pushing different treatments. Even when I told her I shouldn't have hormone replacement as a 27 year breast cancer survivor, she I said it was fine and talked me into it. Guess who has breast cancer again. Me. When I was trying to get relief for my back through Dr. Bernas I was also seeing the chiropractor and the massage therapist. Three employees there. Apparently I wasn't a good enough patient for them. When I came in for treatment the receptionist told me that "my insurance company DROPPED me!" Excuse me! Hardly! They had denied a claim because they needed a letter signed by me which I received in the mail the same day. The letter stating that I don't have secondary insurance and this wasn't work related. I'd been getting lidocaine shots, chiropractic work and the massage lady was good. Just to have it all cut off in an instant because of a signature on a piece of paper. They never even tried to get me back into treatment. They treat people like they're disposable. No one there cares at all. They are supposed to be an integrative and wellness center. Well, let me tell you, I only have one problem in life and it's them. Hopefully I'll beat this cancer but not with their help. I pray they go out of business and leave my home town. First, I question the authenticity of some of the positive reviews on here. The wording and writing style is suspiciously similar. Second, I was looking for a general MD. Dr. Bernas appeared in a search. I called and was specific about what I needed: A new MD/Internist, and bloodwork (physical). They did not tell me it is a psychiatrist's office...Hello?! Psychiatry is great but I called for a physical. Why would they not tell me "This isn't the office for you?!" An MD on staff of a psych office is not what I needed. Third, I TOTALLY agree with people that posted that they're very money- grabbing. They require follow up appts. to go over results of an exam?! Just post my results to your portal, or call. I don't need to come in a week later to discuss?!. Money, honey. And they will not budge on treatments or a prescription until you come in AGAIN. *Disclaimer* This was my experience. During the consult Dr. Bernas was not interested in what I said, very controlling and dictated orders. A negative approach, asked questions then found lots of things "wrong" (little things I've been told by other Drs. are conditions you manage & live with, they don't affect my daily life AT ALL so why make it an issue? She persisted in focusing on miniscule details I was not there for, then walked out when I tried to ask or explain. Also, call and you can never get a human! No matter what option/# you select you just get recordings. Answer the phone folks, you are a doctor's office. No wonder they insist you come back 1 week later....many people probably don't want to go back! Finally, to my knowledge they do not follow up asking "How was your experience?" I can't begin to tell you that if I didn't walk through the doors of Dr. Aimee and associates I would not be the fabulous person I have come to be today. Out of 5 stars my rating is a 10 plus. I have been seeing Doctor Klempic now for over 9 months. She came into my life at the right time and place in my life. She is beyond a fabulous and an outstanding doctor, she has become a very important person in my life. She has made me overcome difficult obstacles in my life, and has given me the tools to live a happy, and healthy life. I use to be a very ANGRY person, and very hard to deal with. Dr. Klempic has been my rock through getting rid of all the negative in my life and to work on myself and not everyone else. She is 100% outstanding at how she has the ability to regain their life back in a healthy way. Every visit we give eachother hugs. She is amazing at her job. I was diagnosed with bells palsy this past August. I was told from the top neurologist that I would need brain surgery because I was so severe. I opted out of surgery, and did all the research of bells palsy, and ways to make my recovery process much better for me. I was in horrible shape. Doctor Klempic had mentioned Dr. Nikas who is the Chiropractic Doctor within the same office to help with tension and stress when I first started seeing her. A light clicked in my head an exact week after my illness, and right away got an appointment with my other lifesaver in my life. All my neurologists and other doctors told me that seeing a chiropractor and getting acupuncture would in no way help me. If it wasn't for listening to Doctor Nikas I would not be where I am in my recovery today. I see him everyday since August. I owe him my life for making me believe in him that he was going to get me better. 9 months later, I look in the mirror and I am almost myself again. He is an excellent doctor in Soo many ways. I no longer feel helpless that it would take 6 months to a year for me to get better. Well I'm living proof of believing in Doctor Nikas's order's to make me get back to myself, without brain surgery, and spending money on doctors who never offered me hope. Everyday after every session with a fabulous feeling that dr. Nikas was able to speed up my recovery by months if not longer. I highly recommend both Dr. Klempic, and Dr. Nikas to everyone. It is a hard process to look for doctors that mesh well with your needs. It is even more difficult for individuals with mental and/or physical ailments. This was one of the worst experiences I have had. Not only do they try to push other services on you but they also have a very poorly trained staff; canceled appointments when you were trying to change, cancelled all appointments when you wanted one cancelled, do not return calls, hard to get a hold of. If the office staff was trained this might be halfway decent, but still not meeting the essential needs of people who need help. This added stress rather then helping with it. I am happy I found a new professional and would not recommend this group. People should not be treated this way. read more

I have really never felt compelled to write a review until now. First off, I must say that my issue is not with the therapy itself, I had great therapists at this practice! My first therapist was fantastic; after she left, my second one was great as well. The only reason why I stopped attending was because our schedules often conflicted, which was not the therapist's fault, as she gave me plenty of options. Why I am giving it two stars is because of its poor performance from an ethical responsibility and communication standpoint. I myself am in the healthcare industry, so I am educated on what is responsible practice in the mental health field. I was not given any notice that my psychiatrist was leaving in two weeks, until I called about my appointment. I also have not been provided any referral sources, which for me are not difficult to obtain, but for anyone who doesn't work in healthcare, it might be! These are both unethical practices and need to be fixed right away. I have also been treated very rudely by some of the front desk staff. In any customer service position, courtesy, tact, and kindness are necessary to the job. In the mental health field, these are simply imperative to those struggling with personal issues. I found one front desk staff member in particular very condescending and ignorant, even to the point of blaming me for things. If this review is taken for anything, it's that the presentation of administrative staff is just as important, especially for new clients. All in all, I stuck around, even after my first therapist left because I believed I was getting good care and service. Now I am not willing because of how I've been treated by some and these concerns that I have. read more

I mentioned in my original review that I was still a patient of the psychiatrist within the practice and was going to continue with my appointments until my meds were sorted out and regulated. Well, in waiting for the process to work it's self out, my psychiatrist required I see one of the medical doctors about some blood work. I made the appointment and the day of my appointment the office called and asked why I had scheduled a follow up appointment since I haven't see the doctor before. I explained the psychaitrist make the appointment to discuss blood work. Fast forward several hours. I got a call from my daughters preschool - she is only 4 - saying I had to pick her up. She had an accident on the playground and was hurt and very upset. So, about 45 mins before my appointment I had to cancel since i wouldn't be able to get my daughter picked up and make it in time and I had no idea what was yet going on with her. The next day I noticed I was charged the no show appointment fee, $75.00. Since I had to make a new appointment with the doctor and psych, I called to discuss why i was charged the fee. I was told flat out by the office manager, Rick that due to my Yelp review Dr. Aimee thought I wasn't going to be coming back so they felt the $75.00 was fair. I understand the late cancelation policy but things happen in life, a little compassion goes a long way. read more

If you are looking for someone to stroke your ego and enable you by telling you everything will be ok, she is not for you. Expect her to ask tough questions and assign homework. I have been working with Alberto Minzer for approximately a year and a half, & I definitely recommend him as a therapist. He has a genuine passion for both his work and the well-being of his clients; rather than passively listening to you talk and occasionally nodding while never looking up from his notes, he establishes a dialog with you, asking insightful questions and challenging you to challenge yourself. In my time working with him I have made great strides in healing the scars left by past traumas, and I am now moving towards a life of greater personal fulfillment and peace of mind. Therapy and coaching are services that you don't really realize how poorly the skills are until you find someone that is amazing. We've all heard horror stores about the alarmingly high number of unskilled therapists that are out there and anyone can call themselves a coach but the ability to offer tools catered to an individual's needs rather than a superficial or standard blueprint is the sign of a talented therapist or coach. My experience with Aimee fell short of offering the skills tailored to an already highly successful person who sought to enhance an overall quality of life. From a business perspective, I found things like the chicken dance to celebrate successes and the lack of knowledge around executive level critical thinking or problem solving to be substandard. Her emotional intelligence was on the high end of the low-competency level and her ability to offer executive level and highly driven coaching lacked. It felt like an interview candidate who oversells their qualifications to get hired but then cannot deliver the services once hired. In other words, someone who looks good on paper but falls short of performing their sales pitch. I didn't think that she listened or was paying attention to much of what I said and it became clear that her level of offering valuable take aways was absent. Overall, my opinion is that she fell short of the professionalism and competency to foster true change for complex issues but likely would be moderately successful with high school athletes or students. I wouldn't really recommend her beyond that. To be fair, she was pretty casual and when not infusing her own judgment into my situations, she was mostly pleasant. She was just really simple in her thoughts and feedback. Had I not recently experienced working with an amazing certified executive coach, it would have never occurred to me how inadequate Aimee's skills were for what I was looking for. read more

She's doing a horrible disservice to people and to the profession of talk therapy. She was very unprofessional. Firstly, She mocked issues I brought up, claiming that nothing I was saying was "too unusual." She would not let me get a word in edgewise!! I had to fight to get one word in. She went through a check list and at the end gave me a "diagnosis". ??? Even if she asked me a question, She would cut me off before I could answer. She was BELITTLING and very ARROGANT. I actually left crying not because of the issues I came to see her for but because of how terribly awful she was. Eventually, I canceled my another appointment, she sent my credit card a fax about some no-show fee. She has a poor listening skills, judgemental, concerned about the money, more than unprofessional and extremely aloof. Her staff on the other end, was extremely pleasant and helpful from the time I stepped into the office to the time I left!! I got very sick on my way to my appointment, and an ambulance had to come and get me out of a parking lot, and I called to tell them, and they didn't ask if I ok. I have been looking for a professional in my area recently. I was not treated very well when I called and inquired about services and appointments. I spoke to a girl who seemed to not really know much at all, or have very good communication skills. The girl was also a tad rude, or maybe clueless, not sure which. Long story short, they want you to make more appointments than necessary so you pay more, they are unorganized with your information, and Dr. Bernas spends too much time going on tangents and then tries to leave because she is running late for the next appointment. Today was without a doubt the most unprofessional experience I've had with a doctor office. They didn't call me for weeks after lab tests (general STD screen, I don't have any symptoms and wasn't worried but have had unprotected sex with a few partners so I figured I should be responsible) and when I finally called them, they said over the phone that my test results were not good, then refused to give me any specifics at all and told me I needed to talk to the doctor in person. Naturally I thought I had HIV or another STD. I'll save you the agony of uncertainty that I went through -- I am completely clean and STD-free. After I waited 15 minutes for the receptionist to show up and ask me questions they already had the answers to, Dr. Bernas finally saw me. I had to coax it out of her that I was STD free because she was trying to explain to me the signs and symptoms of each STD and how common they were before she would tell me my results. I don't know if you've ever been afraid of having HIV, but if you are, the first thing out of a doctors mouth you want to hear is whether you have it or not. Finally she tells me that I need to re-up my Hepatitis B shots because I'm not immune. If I hadn't been so relieved, I would have ripped into her for hours. As it was I left there as fast as I could and will never go back. I have been less than satisfied up to this point because it seems like every time I go there they have another excuse for why I should make another appointment for something they can't do today, but could do tomorrow or later in the week. I have been getting a prescription there for the past 8 months, it has only changed once (in the beginning) and yet they insist I come to the office and pay the copay just to refill my prescription any time I want to re-up. Obviously they just want me to come more so that they make more money. Also Dr. Bernas will take at least half of your appointment time talking about things that have nothing to do with what you are asking about or need info on. Like I said, I will not go back here and am currently looking for a replacement. read more

If you're a man and you're looking for a psychologist, you want to see Alberto Minzer. I have seen two different psychologists over a about 10 years. Both of them were women. Although they were caring, compassionate, and pushed me in the right direction, they just didn't know the exact buttons to push or know what a man needs. Alberto is different. Even when I go to his office cool as a cucumber with nothing to say, the next thing i know is that he got the anger or sadness out of me. Alberto knows how to get a man to do his work to becoming a better man. He explains how things in my life now are a result of past experiences either in the recent past or from 20 years ago. His goal seems to be to help me break the unhealthy cycles that have occurred in my life and reshape them. Alberto also pushed me to be a part of a group of men that I wasn't sure I wanted to join. He kept pushing and I kept resisting. After a couple months, I finally joined a group of men who have gone through the same things that I have which has helped me more than I could imagine. Now, I have a whole new group of men I can trust and have formed friendships with. Counseling in the office takes you so far, but combine the sessions with Alberto with the work he wants you to do outside the office as part of a group...and I have made more strides in 5 months with Alberto than I did in several years with other psychologists. If you're a man, you're serious about improving your life, and you're willing to do men's work, then see Alberto and start transforming your life today! read more
