This was such a great experience, I can't say enough about how sweet the chapel is, the grounds are really pretty, it's extremely affordable...the photography staff and the Reverend were great, the photos were beautiful and the process was short and sweet. I saw some prior reviews from people who were upset that the ceremony seemed rushed, or they couldn't dress as the chapel, or they wanted things the day off like flowers that they didn't pay for in their package and that's not the fault of the Chapel, that's the couple's fault for not reading the contract and understanding the rules and getting a sense of what the event would be like. The staff communicated with me for two months to answer any questions I had, and they were really good about helping me understand what I was purchasing and what was included. The day we went, it was very cold and the waterfall was frozen- the plan was to take photos but it, but I wasn't going to pitch a fit over the weather, it's nobody's fault, and the photographer suggested photos under the cute forest chandelier they had and we were totally happy with that. The Reverend was very eloquent, and we appreciated that. The whole thing cost us around $300 with extra photos, just the two of us, and it was excellent. If i could give this place zero stars, I WOULD! At the beginning, everything was great, running smoothly and they stayed on top of things. The day of the wedding is where EVERYTHING, went wrong. First it started with the limo no showing up to pick us up, so someone from the wedding had to get us. Then when we finally got there from the hair place, the lady started taking pictures of my husband and only a few of the bride and her party. Not only that, we were SHOVED along to get things done as quickly as possible! Not only did we get shoved along, are wedding was only SEVEN minutes long, when it was supposed to be 20/25 minutes long. Then after that, a few pictures were taken of the family and then are family was shoved off to go to the reception and so we got only a couple pictures with are family and friends.. and then a few of the bride and groom.. we have over 30/40 pictures of the groom but only about 10/15 of the bride and her party. Once they did a few of the couple, they were shoved out next, and onto the reception. When we got there, food was ALREADY out and COLD. The guy doing the music wasn't there yet, and no one knew where the reception was or what was going on because once the wedding was over at the chapel, you were done with them there. They never sent anyone to tell us anything or what was going on. We were just told to go to the reception and have fun. Not only that, the cake was WRONG, the icing was buttercream, when we asked for cream cheese frosting. Then when i called the next day about everything, i was told there was nothing they could do. So i waited till i could speak to an actual manager, which she got right with the man who owns it, and he gave us all are photos, which weren't a lot, mainly of just my husband. And half were people blinking or mouth open. Why would i want those?!? I paid THOUSANDS of dollars for them to mess up my wedding and then give me the rest of the pictures i didnt pay for.. which i paid for 100 but really could only get 80 nice pictures.. but they gave me the rest and told me thats all they can do even though sooo much went wrong. Month goes by and im trying to download my video again, which so EVERYONE knows, you can only download ONCE. Even if you pay 100 of dollars to have as many copies as you can, they only give you ONE. Which at the time i only had an ipad to download it and wanted to eventually download it to a computer and was NEVER told i could only download it once even though i paid for it. When i emailed them and asked if i could just get one more copy of it, i was rudely attacked by Arnel by email going off saying why would we tell you that. You can only download it once, why would we allow anymore than that. Well maybe because i paid?! Then he kept going at me about it, and wouldn't stop emailing me. So i told him i would contact his manager and he said go ahead they'll say the same. I said okay thank you, i will. Which he replied going off on me again and i told him to stop contacting me. He said he will be blocking me and blacklisting off of the company and i will no longer be able to contact anyone and that he is "NOW" the owner of the company yet i can contact his manager? Where does that make since? You work under someone, but now you own the company when i say ill be taking care of this? Funny.. I do NOT recommend this place, one bit! They were great at first but once the wedding hits, they give two shits about you and will trash talk you to your face and be okay with it. Do NOT waste your money. read more

I would definitely NOT recommend them to anyone. I planned to get married on May 12, 2023 but unfortunately plans didn't work out and the wedding isn't happening. When I talked to a representative I was very thorough in my inquiries including the refund policy. I was told I could get my refund on the deposit if I have plenty of notice on cancellations. I called today to cancel and get my refund. They REFUSED to do it claiming that they had a72 hour policy. No one EVER told me about it. They said it was in an email they sent me but I didn't get it until AFTER I payed my deposit. I trusted what was told to me about it. They refuse to give my refund and admit they MISLED AND LIED to me. NOT TOO MENTION... the representative I talked to was lacking in empathy or sympathy. He just kept telling me about the 72 hour policy. When I kept trying to tell him I was misled and lied to he would interrupt me and when I got so upset over it he told me the conversation was over because I couldn't act like an adult. Not only am I dealing with terrible and hurtful split and cancellation of my wedding I now have been further insulted and disrespected as well as conned. I WOULD NEVER recommend them to anyone. They mislead, lie and treat people horribly. I also posted this review elsewhere and the owners response was condescending and still didn't address that I was lied to and misled as well as insulted. They even lied about what actually transpired on the phone that upset me greatly. These people are wretched. PLEASE BEWARE! read more

I can't say enough about Chapel at the Park. We choose the Chapel for our vow renewal. Everything was done with such professionalism and reverence .We walked down the aisle together ( which was nice) and exchanged vows in a beautiful setting. Rev. Baily was very thoughtful and sincere and Arnell ( photographer) captured the moment very well. The grounds and Chapel were immaculate and the park setting was perfect for wedding pics. read more

My daughter got married here 4/29/2021 and the ceremony was just perfect! The staff is very professional and helpful and the whole event went so smoothly. We are very happy. I will say, that as someone with mobility issues, it was a little difficult for me to walk a few steps up to the gazebo and then down the steps in the seating area. Also, there are no hand rails on the steep downhill trail back to the parking lot. If you use a wheelchair you will need some kind of ramp to access the seating area, and if you use a cane or walker, make sure someone can help you as there is nothing to hold onto for stability. Not a big deal at all, just mention it in advance if you use this beautiful venue. read more

My husband and I were married here, in 2008, and decided to visit it again for our 10th wedding anniversary. We didn't want to renew our vows, but thought it would be nice to have a photo session to mark the occasion. After contacting staff, they were happy to oblige. We couldn't believe how much had changed in 10 years. We were told we would have a very short session with the photographer, but she was so efficient with what she does, that she was able to take 200 pics (of which 89 were included in the end result). We booked our wedding at the chapel about 12 weeks ahead of time, and they were fairly simple to work with. There were a few things that were frustrating, but much of that is kind of what you get when you book this type of wedding. We knew from the start that we had a time limit, but we were very frustrated when the photographer started taking pictures of us with each of the brides side of the chapel, and then said we didn't have time to do individual pictures with the grooms side. If she wasn't going to have time to do both, she shouldn't have started doing them. Many of my husband's family were hurt and disappointed that they didn't get the pictures with us while my side did. It did have a very assembly line feel to it, and it was definitely a rushed feeling from start to finish, but again, I think that part is probably to be expected with this type of wedding. We did ours on a Monday so got the package for half price, I don't think what we got would have been worth twice what we paid. The "extras" that were included with the package were fairly cheap looking and not worth much of anything. read more

My husband and I got married about 3 years ago. My family has a tradition of eloping in Gatlinburg, and somehow I ended up doing that as well! We have all picked different places to get married. I loved this place. We just did a small wedding package since we didn't have very many guests. Everything went really well. I had an easy time communicating with the staff and everything went well the day of. The place I had to change was beautiful and the photographer did a really great job with our photos. The pastor was so nice. He seemed to really care about our relationship and not just what he was getting paid. The chapel was really pretty and everything I could have asked for. The grounds for photos were beautiful as well! We did get married in late spring, so we had great foliage for our photos. Would completely recommend this place!! read more

What started out as a five star review is now a one star. If photos are important to you as they are to us, choose another wedding vendor. What started out as a wonderful day for both of us was quickly diminished when we saw the photos. They're very disappointing. The quality and variety leaves a great deal to be desired. We were rushed through the shoot, the photographer lacks skills and it shows. Hoping they would at least work to improve on the quality of the digital photos, I called and spoke with Robin, the operations manager. She was argumentative and said there was nothing they were willing to do. Rather than continue the conversation, I ended it and I haven't heard back. In summary, I will not recommend Chapel at the Park and will talk openly to anyone interested in knowing about our experience. read more

We got married on 5/8 at this location. It was four days after a very bad wind storm that caused a lot of damage in the area with trees being uprooted or breaking. The outdoor wedding center where we were to get married suffered major damage (a giant tree pulled from the ground with a shed that was sitting next to it on top of the toppled tree). They waited until four hours before our ceremony to inform us that we couldn't get married outside because of the damage. This was very unprofessional because they knew days before that this was the case. They did find a way to accommodate us outside in another area of the venue after forcing the issue. We were married on a Monday and got our package 1/2 off, and I agree with the previous person that it was definitely not worth the full price for the reasons that were stated. When we went to pick up our photo disc the next day, we wanted to talk about the extra money we paid to have bows and covers on the chairs for the ceremony at the outdoor wedding center. We ended up not having chairs at all in the space we had, and thought we should be given a refund for that. They became a bit defensive saying if we would have had it in the chapel (where they wanted to have it). They said they would have given us a video of the ceremony to make up for the cost...which we did not want. They were not going to do anything until one gentleman stepped in and solved it by taking the cost of the covers off of the photos we purchased (we chose to purchase all photos and not just the 40 that were with our package). Which brings me to the fact that we realized not all the photos taken were on the disc because when we reviewed there were poses we remembered but were not included. I'm not sure why that was but we didn't follow up because it just wasn't worth it. Our wedding turned out to be very nice and we were happy with the end result. I tried to book a wedding here for this fall. Granted it was a pretty short notice but that's no excuse for the staff there being rude. I had called a few times asking questions and trying to put my destination wedding together on the phone. (A challenge). I wanted a few special things like specific flowers and live music. Basically they kept directing me to pick a package and pay before they would even talk about what I wanted and if they could get it. BIG red flag for people who do weddings. And the person I last spoke to was about as concerned for what I wanted as a man in the moon and the man I had been dealing with "was unavailable" after I decided to book a bit cheaper package than the 3000 dollar one for basically the ceremony a cake and some flowers they couldn't get. But the last time I spoke to him he was rude and short with me as well. I hung up crying today ..... My advice. Look elsewhere. And read other reviews of this in my opinion subpar chapel. Great location but not the professionalism and caring you want when planning your special day. I am getting married and the venue I have now is amazing!!! And their staff... The best. My husband and I along with our family and friends were very impressed with the Chapel at the Park. The facility was beautiful and the staff was amazing. We also had a wonderful reception at the reception center. Everything was elegant and the food was great! We were very impressed with the cakes. Not only were they beautiful, but also delicious! I got married here 5 years ago it was amazing they took care of everything all i had to do was pay and show up. The only complaint i could possibly have is that they didn't allow alcohol at the reception but that is a TN thing nothing the chapel could have done. The wonderful staff took care of all our wedding needs. Tables and party gifts were set out, places were decorated, flowers were the perfect shade, the cake tasted amazing than handled it all including my week long honey moon, a cabin for our parents, tickets to dollywood and a magic show, my salon appointment and the limo. it was the least stressful wedding I've ever been to and for the bride to say that is kind of a big deal. read more
