Coming into this restaurant, I was greeted by an older man who jokingly asked if I wanted to be seated at the bar. Obviously, he could tell I was young, and since I'm not 21 yet, I sadly had to decline. I knew I probably wasn't going to be seated there anyway, but it was a funny interaction that immediately set a good mood for me. My waiter was also really nice, and while the food is a bit pricey, I completely understand the pricing considering this is also a music venue. You're paying for good service, quality food, & the overall atmosphere with live music, so I really can't complain because you get what you pay for. Stopped here for dinner on a Tuesday night. There was live music playing and no wait at 5pm. We were sat upstairs with a party of 4. We couldn't see the live music from where our table was, but there was a tv that we could watch. The menu has GF items marked. I informed our server of me being celiac and asked if the beyond burger was GF. She confirmed with the kitchen that it was. I ordered that on a GF bun with a side of cheddar mashed potatoes. They do not have a dedicated fryer for fries. When my food came out, the bun looked very suspicious and seemed like their normal potato bun. I asked the server to confirm with the kitchen. She took the food, came back with a GF bun and confirmed the original bun was incorrect. I asked her to remake everything since I cannot have cross contamination. The person who brought us our food came out and said he is going to have everything remade including the mashed potatoes. When my food did come out, he had gloves on and gave me new silverware. I still ended up not feeling well after so I must have had some cross contamination. I didn't eat anything from the first plate though. Super cool atmosphere, singer was really good and we enjoyed listening to him. Service was good, no complaints. Food was average and I didn't think there was enough variety in the menu. I ordered a couple different things which they told me they were out of so I settled on ribs. They were very meaty but so DRY-like the driest ribs I've ever had. Had to ask for more bbq sauce just to get it down. Everyone else said their meals were "fine". This is a great place to see live music! And good quality live music. We were here a number of years ago when they hadn't been open long, and we enjoyed it both times. This time we were seated in the upstairs balcony overlook, which was nice. Thankfully, arriving at 5:30 got us there right before the dinner rush, so we didn't have to wait for a table. Our waiter was ok. Not great, but not bad. He did bring me another water without me asking, so that was good. But overall, he wasn't around much. We'd had a large lunch, so we weren't very hungry. Hubby got the smash burger plain- just cheese- it was good (I had a few bites). I decided on the loaded tots. My inclination was to order without the taco meat, but I thought I should have some protein, so I left it as is. I should've followed my first instinct. The taco meat was fairly spicy and one of the spices used had a distinct flavor that I didn't care for. So I scraped the meat off the best I could. But the homemade giant tater tots? I loved them! Slightly different texture than Ore Ida tater tots, but nice and crispy! They stayed crispy on the outside, even having had taco meat and queso on them. I would definitely order these again, but without the taco meat! The young lady singing had a nice voice and sang everything well except for one song. And it wasn't her fault- a young girl requested "Let it go" from frozen. She said she'd try, but couldn't guarantee she could do it. It was rough, but kind of her to try for the little girl. Overall, we go for the live music, and I'm sure the high food prices reflect paying the artists for their time. (Or maybe every restaurant in Gatlinburg is high? We don't usually eat there. We usually eat in Pigeon Forge) Overall, I give this a 4 because you're going to pay a lot for the food to have the music. And the particular food we ordered this occasion was good, but not outstanding. However, it's better to pay extra for food than having a cover charge. We came here for dinner. We were seated at the bar area right away. The Live music was great the artist was Tim Rhodes. The bar tender (Red) was awesome. The food took a long time to come out. We got our meals and did not get the appetizer that we ordered "Turning me on Brisket Tots". We had the bartender cancel that item. That was disappointing especially after waiting for soo long. I had the bacon jam burger which was pretty good with a side of tots was more like a hash brown mix which was disappointing. The Burger was a 4 out of 5 stars. Tots get a 0 out of 5. My wife had the meatloaf and Brussels sprouts, she said they were good. Not the best in the world but solid. 3 stars out of 5. We ordered drinks. I had the Strawberry Margarita and it was alright not good not bad. My wife had the Top Dog Margarita and had to send it back. It was terrible. It tasted like drinking a really sour/tart candy. Let's be honest, you come here for the experience. It's in a very touristy area, and part of the appeal is being able to say you've been to Blake Shelton's restaurant. The food is fine, nothing bad, but not the main reason to go. The atmosphere is really what stands out. We visited during the off season, and the live music was great with only a small crowd, which made it much more enjoyable. The decor is well done and adds to the overall vibe. There's also a small gift shop, but it's definitely on the expensive side. This feels like more of a one or two time stop rather than somewhere you'd go regularly. If you're a Blake Shelton fan, it's worth checking out at least once. I wouldn't go out of my way for it, and I definitely wouldn't come during peak season, but in the off season, I would stop in again. read more

Keep on walking... We were starving after a long hike and saw this place and it wasn't busy (I know why now) - one and done place. Live music is great but there wasn't any when we were there. We ordered a chicken sandwich and a Bluetick Burger both with the tater tots. Burger is supposed to be cooked medium per the menu. Chicken sandwich was the better of the two but sadly the chicken was DRY. The bun doesn't hold up to the avocado and slaw. The burger/ I honestly can't believe they even served - shame on the cook and the server. The meat was so overcooked and add a 10 day old dried out bun... I asked for some BBQ sauce because the burger comes with no mayo no ketchup no mustard just a dried out (literally) bun - I was charged for the BBQ sauce. This was my family and I's first time going to an Ole Red. We were hoping for a cool, laid back live music ambience and we got mostly what we wanted. The food, not very good. We ordered the tater tots and the cheese curds, they came on the same plate and we got exactly 4 cheese curds. The beer glass that we got served was dirty with ominous marks all over the rim. Our service was plain bad, Tiffany was rude, and disappeared constantly. Her tone seemed as though she wanted nothing to do with her tables, and she couldn't answer any of the questions we asked. We stopped into Ole Red for lunch while walking through Gatlinburg, and the moment I stepped inside, I felt like I'd been transported straight to Nashville. The vibe is undeniable, great layout, solid service, and live music that's genuinely hard to pass up. On atmosphere alone, Ole Red delivers five stars easily. The food, however, didn't live up to the setting or the price tag. I ordered the Pulled Pork Bar-B-Que Sandwich with house-smoked pulled pork, vinegar slaw, pickles, Ole Red BBQ sauce, on a potato bun, plus a side of fully loaded tater tots with white queso, taco meat, and sour cream. The BBQ pork itself was a major disappointment. Honestly, I've had better pulled pork reheated from the grocery store. It lacked flavor, depth, and anything resembling "house-smoked" character. The fully loaded tater tots were solid and easily outshined the sandwich. The surprise star of the table was the cornbread. We tried to sub it instead of fries and were told it had to be ordered separately... once it arrived, I understood why. It came out in a massive cast-iron skillet and was some of the best cornbread I've had in years. Warm, rich, and absolutely worth it. All in all, Ole Red feels a bit like a tourist stop: great energy, live music, and a fun experience, paired with mid-range, predictable food. Decent Lunch with Good Vibes Stopped by Ole Red in Gatlinburg for lunch and had a pretty good experience overall. Our waitress was extremely friendly and helpful--not just with the menu but also with tips about Gatlinburg, which was a nice touch. There was live music during our visit, and the singer did a great job covering both classic and newer country songs. It definitely added to the atmosphere. Food was a mixed bag. I had the smash burger, which was decent but nothing special--pretty standard fare. My wife ordered the brisket nachos, which came in a generous portion but lacked brisket and cheese, so that was a bit of a letdown. On the upside, the chili cheese tots we had as an appetizer were very tasty. The restaurant has a fun country-themed decor, and of course, my wife had to snap a photo with the life-size Blake Shelton cutout. There's a bar both upstairs and downstairs, and prices were moderate for the area. All in all, it was a good stop for lunch. Not amazing, but enjoyable. He was the main reason we decided to pop in, as we love live music. The place was pretty crowded for a Sunday night, especially during spring break, with lots of families and kids around. I can't say the bartenders left a particularly friendly or welcoming impression, which made things feel a bit awkward. Still, we ordered two drinks, enjoyed the music, and made our way out quickly. My family and I came here party of 13 people (5 children ) First time during my visit to Gatlinburg this trip we were greeted and seated right away. The waitress was outstanding , and I'll tell you right now what food is absolutely mandatory you try. Corn bread appetizer , followed by the wings buffalo style with honey. Most of had the burgers which were all good , I had the Oklahoma burger .
