Let's be honest, you come here for the experience. It's in a very touristy area, and part of the appeal is being able to say you've been to Blake Shelton's restaurant. The food is fine, nothing bad, but not the main reason to go. The atmosphere is really what stands out. We visited during the off season, and the live music was great with only a small crowd, which made it much more enjoyable. The decor is well done and adds to the overall vibe. There's also a small gift shop, but it's definitely on the expensive side. This feels like more of a one or two time stop rather than somewhere you'd go regularly. If you're a Blake Shelton fan, it's worth checking out at least once. I wouldn't go out of my way for it, and I definitely wouldn't come during peak season, but in the off season, I would stop in again. read more

Atmosphere was good, decent band was playing. The food was average at best and very expensive for what you got. I got a burger that was very plain and it was $20. I would have rather ate a cheeseburger from McDonald's. The beer in a souvenir glass was $20, a refill for that glass was $12. Very expensive for what you get. Not a place I would want to come back to. Definitely would go other places in Gatlinburg for the price. read more

Visited Ole Red during the Spring of 2026 with 7 adults. We were seated right away which was pleasantly unexpected due to it being Spring Break and right at 7:30. Took about 20 minutes for our server to come by to introduce herself at which time we placed our drink order. About 20-25 minutes later we received our drinks and then ordered, and then noticed the table next to us leave after saying they had been waiting an hour and a half to get their food which never arrived apparently. While still waiting for our food another group sat down next to us. After approximately 30 minutes the table next to us got up and left due to the server never coming by once. During the hour and a half of waiting for our food our server asked one of the people at our table if they needed more water at which time the server came back with one refill of water for that person and never asked if anyone wanted another drink or more water. At an hour and forty five minutes our server came back and said our meals were next to be served. We decided to wait........and observed 5 other tables get their meals. Finally after two hours our food started to arrive........cold and missing items!! We asked to speak with a manager who took another 20 minutes to show up where we explained all the issues and advised we would happily pay for our drinks but would not be paying for the meals. The manager became confrontational and then began providing excuses for all the mistakes instead of just accepting that this restaurant is in need of new management and staff!! After some back and forth the young lady said she would "take care of our meals but we needed to pay for the drinks". We took our checks and then had to hunt for someone to give our money to due to no staff members coming back to accept our payment. With so many choices on the strip in Gatlinburg this is one spot you can skip if you're looking for a quality meal and service. The only thing worth noting was the band provided quality entertainment while we waited for a disastrous experience to unfold! I hope Blake Shelton only provided his name to this establishment and doesn't actually have a stake in this place! read more

Stopped here for dinner on a Tuesday night. There was live music playing and no wait at 5pm. We were sat upstairs with a party of 4. We couldn't see the live music from where our table was, but there was a tv that we could watch. The menu has GF items marked. I informed our server of me being celiac and asked if the beyond burger was GF. She confirmed with the kitchen that it was. I ordered that on a GF bun with a side of cheddar mashed potatoes. They do not have a dedicated fryer for fries. When my food came out, the bun looked very suspicious and seemed like their normal potato bun. I asked the server to confirm with the kitchen. She took the food, came back with a GF bun and confirmed the original bun was incorrect. I asked her to remake everything since I cannot have cross contamination. The person who brought us our food came out and said he is going to have everything remade including the mashed potatoes. When my food did come out, he had gloves on and gave me new silverware. I still ended up not feeling well after so I must have had some cross contamination. I didn't eat anything from the first plate though. The server was not very knowledgeable and didn't really check on us after the fact. Would not recommend for celiacs. read more

Food quality/price (value) rating 9. The atmosphere is Country Concert Hall. This venue is backed by Blake Shelton and features live country music all day long. I had the grilled Cajun style chicken sandwich with avocado and bacon. It was excellent. The wife had the Taco salad and said it was very good, especially since it didn't have the big taco shell but instead had the corn chip strips. The drinks were well made and the service was good. The music was great, however, my wife ended up with food poisoning and we had to cut the weekend short. Next time we're in Gatlinburg we will likely eat someplace else and only stop in here for live music and drinks read more

Service was awful. Guy kept walking around looking busy but didn't ever actually do anything. We had to flag him down for new drinks and then he'd fill one when all 5 were empty. I had the 'grilled' chicken sandwich and it was the absolute worst. No seasoning, no signs of grilling.. it was flavorless and either microwaved or boiled! It was awful. Tots were Cold and not edible... atmosphere was great, live music was fun but paying $20-30 a person for disgusting food was disappointing. Keep on walking... We were starving after a long hike and saw this place and it wasn't busy (I know why now) - one and done place. Live music is great but there wasn't any when we were there. We ordered a chicken sandwich and a Bluetick Burger both with the tater tots. Burger is supposed to be cooked medium per the menu. Chicken sandwich was the better of the two but sadly the chicken was DRY. The bun doesn't hold up to the avocado and slaw. The burger/ I honestly can't believe they even served - shame on the cook and the server. The meat was so overcooked and add a 10 day old dried out bun... I asked for some BBQ sauce because the burger comes with no mayo no ketchup no mustard just a dried out (literally) bun - I was charged for the BBQ sauce. Service was OK - it's really disappointing when you spend hard earned money and feel cheated. That's all I have to say about this place. read more

We stopped into Ole Red for lunch while walking through Gatlinburg, and the moment I stepped inside, I felt like I'd been transported straight to Nashville. The vibe is undeniable, great layout, solid service, and live music that's genuinely hard to pass up. On atmosphere alone, Ole Red delivers five stars easily. The food, however, didn't live up to the setting or the price tag. I ordered the Pulled Pork Bar-B-Que Sandwich with house-smoked pulled pork, vinegar slaw, pickles, Ole Red BBQ sauce, on a potato bun, plus a side of fully loaded tater tots with white queso, taco meat, and sour cream. The BBQ pork itself was a major disappointment. Honestly, I've had better pulled pork reheated from the grocery store. It lacked flavor, depth, and anything resembling "house-smoked" character. The fully loaded tater tots were solid and easily outshined the sandwich. The surprise star of the table was the cornbread. We tried to sub it instead of fries and were told it had to be ordered separately... once it arrived, I understood why. It came out in a massive cast-iron skillet and was some of the best cornbread I've had in years. Warm, rich, and absolutely worth it. All in all, Ole Red feels a bit like a tourist stop: great energy, live music, and a fun experience, paired with mid-range, predictable food. I probably wouldn't go back specifically for a meal, but there's nothing wrong here.. just don't come expecting the food to match the hype. read more

Decent Lunch with Good Vibes Stopped by Ole Red in Gatlinburg for lunch and had a pretty good experience overall. Our waitress was extremely friendly and helpful--not just with the menu but also with tips about Gatlinburg, which was a nice touch. There was live music during our visit, and the singer did a great job covering both classic and newer country songs. It definitely added to the atmosphere. Food was a mixed bag. I had the smash burger, which was decent but nothing special--pretty standard fare. My wife ordered the brisket nachos, which came in a generous portion but lacked brisket and cheese, so that was a bit of a letdown. On the upside, the chili cheese tots we had as an appetizer were very tasty. The restaurant has a fun country-themed decor, and of course, my wife had to snap a photo with the life-size Blake Shelton cutout. There's a bar both upstairs and downstairs, and prices were moderate for the area. All in all, it was a good stop for lunch. Not amazing, but enjoyable. We might check out the Nashville location next time we're in town. read more

This is your typical Tennessee local bar, but it's packed with tourists. I stopped by on a night when Joe Lee Stevens was performing, playing some great old school country tunes. He was the main reason we decided to pop in, as we love live music. The place was pretty crowded for a Sunday night, especially during spring break, with lots of families and kids around. I can't say the bartenders left a particularly friendly or welcoming impression, which made things feel a bit awkward. Still, we ordered two drinks, enjoyed the music, and made our way out quickly. I had the Hillbilly Breeze, and my babes had the Dirty Tractor. Both drinks were refreshing, but honestly, they seemed a bit light on the alcohol, more like juice than a proper cocktail. We both choose the option with the souvenirs glasses, 2 sinks with glasses came out $48, kind of steep is you ask me. read more

Visited Ole Reds on a bachelorette trip thinking it would be pretty basic over priced food but it ended up being one of my favorite spots of the weekend. The waitress was wonderful. We got cute glasses (they have lots of take home options for an upcharge) and fun/delicious drinks. I would also recommend the nachos and the biscuits. read more

We went on a Thursday for a late lunch when we had just arrived in Gatlinburg. It was empty but- okay, it's not tourist season. We sat in the bar. The food is borderline disgusting. We ordered the redneck nachos and they had that canned cheese and the pickled jalapeños looked as if they might have been 200 years old. We ordered buffalo wings and this is where it went truly south. They tasted OLD. Like dried up dust and a hint of chicken gone bad. Just ick. The best part was the music. A great guy playing. For a touristy area, there weren't a lot of people in the area. Live music was lovely, it was a solo act. Our waitress was very attentive, kind, but she seemed pretty swamped. When I'm in Tennessee ole Red it's a must visit that needs to happen ! One of my favorite things to have here it's the cornbread with honey butter ; it's always warm and delicious fresh from the oven . Live music was good. Everything else just was a let down. We came for the live music and some drinks. Cocktails are $20 and come with a souvenir cup $15 refills. None of those sounded good so I ordered a dirty martini ($16) . Husband ordered a beer on draft. We both received our drinks in nasty old plastic cups that are covered in a cloudy film. (Since we didn't want to buy the souvenir cups) Chicken tenders were $24 and not that great either. Service wasn't any better. Long wait to have waitress come around again. So my husband went to the bar to order himself another beer. If I'm paying $16 for a cocktail I expect for it to be served in a decent glass man! Stop being Cheap just to oversell watered down cocktails in a souvenir cup! Come on Shelton! Quality control! read more

We had a good experience at Ole Red in Gatlinburg. There were 11 of us, and they handled our group well, which we appreciated. The food was good, the service was good, and overall it was a solid place to spend some time. The prices are reasonable, and it's definitely a fun atmosphere, especially when there's a live singer, which adds a lot to the experience. That being said, this was actually our second time here, and we feel about the same, it's just kind of middle of the road. The drinks were okay (a little mid), and while everything was good, nothing really stood out as amazing. We didn't hate it, but we didn't love it either, if that makes sense. We'd come back again if we were already in the area, but it's probably not somewhere we'd go out of our way for. We didn't even get the chance to try the food. As soon as we walked in, we were met with such a negative attitude from the host, Pony, that we turned around and left. He was rude, dismissive, and clearly uninterested in welcoming guests. We ended up dining at the restaurant next door instead. Despite several low reviews for this place, we figured we'd give it a try anyway. We found that most food places in downtown Gatlinburg had poor reviews anyway. My in laws split an order of chicken and waffles and hubby and I split a chicken sandwich and we all shred street corn dip. It was all delicious! Service was great, and we even had live music to entertain us! So glad we took a chance and went here. Honestly , I was skeptical when I saw this place had 3 stars. My family and I came here party of 13 people (5 children ) First time during my visit to Gatlinburg this trip we were greeted and seated right away. The waitress was outstanding , and I'll tell you right now what food is absolutely mandatory you try. Corn bread appetizer , followed by the wings buffalo style with honey. Most of had the burgers which were all good , I had the Oklahoma burger . Overall I given this place 5 stars job well done , there's live music and overall atmosphere was perfect for such a large family to eat lunch. Def check it out read more
