I'm sad to see any review less than 5 stars. After reviewing the low ratings, I realized they are only one experience. Let me tell you, I have had at least four or more orders with Chapel Hill Floral and they've been nothing but AMAZING every. single. time. We moved to Bangor temporarily from Seattle because I'm in traveling healthcare. My parents are still in Seattle and mom loves sending me flowers, it's our thing. She found this company on Google and we've only used them ever since. Their customer service is unmatched. They are warm and friendly and understand exactly what their customer wants. Their delivery times are quick and I've always had my flowers delivered by a man with a smile on his face. This company feels like family. I can't rave about them enough. SHOP LOCAL. SUPPORT LOCAL. These guys are 100% worth your business. Their flowers are fresh and beautiful. The presentation is outstanding. I've kept every single vase the flowers come in. They also have delicious treats that you can add to your order, making them an overall an incredible value. I ordered flowers for my mother's funeral one week ahead of her funeral. Not only were they delivered half way through her funeral, but they were nothing like I ordered. Over 500.00 for two sparse wreaths! The only excuse they offered was that they did not have the right flowers. It was mid-summer, so that excuse was poor. Had always used them, but never again. Not even an apology. Very hateful, actually. Had it not been such a sad time, I may have requested a refund. However, have heard this from others. So sad they were so flippant over the situation. read more

Sometimes a Florist will take an order and create a smaller, different order counting on the strong likelihood the sender will never see the result. I paid $85 for a deluxe version of a standard FTD type arrangement. I arrived today to find it was half the size and did not look like what I ordered. I called and waited on hold, but then had to go. So I emailed and told them I was ripped off. I sent a photo of what I ordered and a photo of what my hurting friend got. 3 roses, 3 carnations, a few bits and pieces and filler. What I totally thought would happen was they would apologize and say "Oops!" there had been a delivery mixup and the wrong flowers went to my friend, that they would refund the difference between the arrangements. They replied I was Offensive. That they had provided the exact and correct recipe for the arrangement. No offer to give a partial refund, no apology, just standing their ground. So let's review. They hypothetically say they did it perfectly, in every aspect. As that is their stated and powerfully defended position that today IS THE RESULT of the caliber flowers their company offers, I urge you in the strongest possible terms to use ANY other Florist. I have in 60 years never had such a lousy outcome from a Florist and have never been moved to write a review. When I pointed out the compact, short size was different as was the appearance, the reply was that the vase was very expensive. I did not order a special or expensive vase. I ordered what was in the $85 photo and received what looked like a small $40 underwhelming unit, so unless you are a massive fan of filler Know that you will likely not receive the photo of flowers you chose. Again, they believe 100% they did a perfect and fairly priced job. Keep that in mind when choosing especially if you are sending flowers to a location they will presume you will not see what arrived. They are Highly rated. Apparently they get fabulous reviews. My conscience demanded I warn the purchaser that not every client got a great result. If you use them, ask your loved one to take photos of what they got and compare to what you actually ordered. Hopefully, everything will be perfect and you will be proud of the arrangement that arrived. read more

I wanted to send my sister flowers for her birthday and I live on the west coast so I looked for florists in Bangor who deliver. It was super easy to order online and they delivered them right on time. The arrangement was beautiful! They let me know when they were delivered and sent me a thank you email. I never spoke with a person but I'm guessing they are great! Anytime I need flowers delivered in the Bangor area, I will choose Chapel Hill again. read more

This is a FOLLOW up on 2/22 to the original review written below. UPDATE 2/22/15 APPARENTLY the owners are out of town. They were totally unaware of this situation and have contacted me directly to make amends. Their tone was amazing. They seemed to TRULY care and I am impressed. They are returning to town Tuesday 2/24 and will be in contact with me as well as the recipient. I have to say, DUE TO THEIR CONTACT AND CONCERN, I WILL RETURN TO CHAPEL HILL FLORIST AND GIVE THEM ANOTHER TRY. It's only fair. They are attempting to make the matter good, HUGE KUDOS TO THEM!!!!! NOT all companies care enough to apologize! So....I understand sometimes when the boss is away..... I am giving them 100% of the doubt and praising them for their FAST RESPONSE and politeness! I places an order for my daughters birthday to be delivered TODAY. When she returned the call, she was told she had a flower delivery for today and what time would she be available. She informed the office she would be available anytime they told her. She was told 11:30 to noon. This morning she stepped out and was home by 11 only to get another call stating the delivery "WAS EARLIER AND IF SHE DOESN'T ANSWER HER PHONE OR DOOR, SHE"S NOT GETTING THE FLOWERS UNTIL MONDAY, AS THEY CLOSE AT NOON." Excuse me??? Did it say anything about closing at NOON when I placed the ORDER? NO. And the office should not have told her 11:30- nooon if the delivery was going to be earlier. This was NOT HER FAULT!!! To be SCOLDED by a rude man, is totally TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE. The man (I can't call him a gentleman, as he was anything BUT), was extremely rude and it was TOTALLY UNCALLED FOR. IF he hates his job, he shouldn't be working. FLOWERS ARE SUPPOSED TO BE A NICE GESTURE, not a CHORE. I am SORRY I PAID $69.99 for the FLOWERS and $8.99 for DELIVERY. TO go EXACTLY: 3.06 miles 7 mins / 7 mins based on current traffic HMMM.....AND the delivery had to CALL her AGAIN to get directions. REALLY????? It MAPQUESTS really easily and nicely. ****************************************************************************** I am just appalled that this delivery was so crappy and that Chapel Hill Florists employees HATE THEIR BUSINESS AND JOB. If there was a worse review then one star I'd have given it. The staff was in no way helpful and in considerate to my elderly aunt in a time of mourning. The amount of apathy the older who I believe is the manager lady has is frightening for this type of business. Perhaps she should retire somewhere as to avoid losing business further and to avoid having her crass attitude being thrown about. read more

A plant was ordered for me as a gift. It was ordered specifically because it is non-toxic for pets and needs low maintenance care. Chapel Hill Floral did not have the plant available and decided to send a "similar" plant. This was not discussed with the person who ordered the gift or myself, the recipient. They delivered the alternative plant: something high maintenance and severely poisonous for animals. The delivery person even walked past our pet and said "Hello!" to it as he placed the toxic plant in our home, indicating he does not know the products. I called Chapel Hill Floral. The owner stated that it was not the fault of the business, and that person ordering the gift should have indicated that there was a pet in the home. This would not have been necessary if the plant was delivered as ordered or we were advised of the need for an alternative plant. I will not pursue any further business here. read more

I have nothing but the utmost praise to give Chapel Hill Floral. My situation was especially challenging because I live in Washington State, the complete opposite coast. I was making phone calls & searching the internet for 2 days trying to find a Florist who could make a custom gift basket for my best guy friends birthday, who lives in Carmel. None of the other florists that I contacted even deliver to Carmel. Needless to say this was quite the task from so far away. Rachel the Owner of Chapel Hill Floral was so incredibly helpful and accommodating. She asked me what type of things I was wanting to have in the basket, in order to make it specific to him. Initially I was going to have it delivered, but she said they couldn't on that Saturday because of all the Mothers Day Deliveries they had to make that day, they were completely booked. When I found out from my friend that he wouldn't be in town on Saturday to be able to go get his surprise. I called them first thing Saturday morning & asked if there was any way I could have it Delivered on Sunday to his house because he would be there then. Once again Rachel, went above & beyond to accommodate me & not only did she personally text me pictures of the Beautiful Basket that she had put together especially for him but she delivered it on Sunday for me. But she even texted me to let me know that it had been delivered & he was incredibly surprised. Now that is truly exceptional customer service, that you hardly EVER experience anymore these days!!! And all from Thousands of miles away!!! Very Impressive! Especially being a business owner myself. Thank You Rachel for all your efforts & going above & beyond, it is truly appreciated!!! read more

I got the name of this florist from a local hospital where a friend of mine was being treated. A few friends and I wanted to send flowers to our friend and their family from a few states away. Chapel Hill was very helpful on the phone, patient, and assured me they could deliver next day. The next day when the flowers delivered, I received a voicemail letting me know I had accidentally put the wrong hospital on the order form, and they already took the time to look up the correct hospital on my behalf and had the flowers en route to deliver. I was so relieved they took care of everything! It was such a relief to know they made it on time and also that customer services like that still exists! I would definitely recommend using them, they have beautiful arrangements and great service! read more

Initially I thought they were very helpful, the first woman who helped me did seem a little irritated with my questions, but we eventually got me a plant. I wanted a flowering house plant that would not die and would last forever if taken care of properly. I told her I know nothing about flowers and she took advantage of that. She sold me something that fit my needs. When I gave it to my mother I forgot what it was so I called and the woman said she remembered me and told me I bought a kalanchoe. My mother didn't think that was right so I brought a picture in and was told it was an azalea and that it is not a lasting plant and that I was not told it was. The woman was acting very put out with my questions and almost irritated that I said I was told different information. Had I been told that the plant would eventually die, I would never had paid $40 for it. I was out right lied to and taken advantage of. I will never go here again! read more
