The red dog is amazing if you like red wine and want something a little different. It's slightly sweet yet has an oak finish almost resembles a tawny or a Porto but with a much lighter finish and not nearly as rich and sweet. The blackberry wine was phenomenal it's not to strong and doesn't taste to much like alcohol it has just the right amount of blackberry and is a much smoother finish than the door country blackberry wine. The cherry cordial is also quite phenomenal it has just the right amount of cherry with a brilliant chocolate finish yet it's not to sweet. I didn't find any wine here I didn't enjoy. It's a shame that the wine they make can only be bought here locally at the winery. Well worth the trip from Wisconsin to Kentucky just to buy a few bottles of this wine. By far one of my favorite wineries that seems to be hidden in the middle of the mountains. Even the history of this winery is quite interesting with ties back to Thomas Jefferson and Daniel Boone can't say enough great things about this winery or the people who own it. No mention of reimbursement or anything other than "your reservation has been cancelled." We disputed the charge on our credit card and will hopefully recover the money. I wasn't as impressed with the tour as others were. The operation is extremely small. From the raised platform above the fermentation tanks, you can see everything. It was a high level walk thru. The tasting was intimate. Our host Kim did a great job walking us through the tasting experience. My favorite was the Minor Case Rye paired with the orange truffle. The other bourbons weren't in my flavor profile, so this is probably my only time coming here.

Beautiful venue inside and out. Bridal Suite, Bridal Party Get Ready Room, Groomsmen Room, list of vendors for ANYTHING you need, and much more. Rain or shine this beautiful venue has you covered. So many guests came up to me at the reception to share how amazing they thought the venue was. The cabins on the property are beautiful and extremely helpful for out of state families. In addition, there are homes across the street for rent. All of the bride's family live out of state, and we were all able to stay on property and across the street for the entire time prior to and after the wedding. Last but not least, a huge THANK YOU to Stephanie! Stephanie provided so much value as the wedding coordinator. Stephanie provided guidance to our daughter during the planning stages and gave us great advice during set-up over the weekend, and she took care of everything during the wedding. Without Stephanie (& God answering prayers) I honestly do not believe our daughter and new son-in-law could have enjoyed themselves so much. As they shared, it was "the best day of their lives". If there were any glitches, we weren't aware because Stephanie had our back! We are so grateful to The Show Barn, Stephanie, the owners and the awesome properties made available for us to rent!
