LITERALLY THE BEST!…read more If you are near the area or wanting to even drive a little or you're passing through I can grantee you some great drinks, food and great people! Everyone who works there is the sweetest, very knowledgeable, everyone is on one accord. They have different events, from murder mysteries to live music. Murder mysteries are 4-5 course meal that you can pair wine to, the other food within the pictures is from that event. It's so delicious perfectly paired and made. Pizza and cheese bread is delicious! We have also had the charcuterie boards. Love the chutney they use. The wine is great you can do wine tasting a tour, lots of beautiful outdoors views. Since coming for a year, they continue to expand this place and make it better and better!

You order all your food and drinks at the newly renovated bar area and they bring your food to your table. You can purchase wine by the bottle and take the bottle with you in a special sealed bag for travel, if you don't finish it at the restaurant. My wife had their Chardonnay and I had a Blue Stallion Oktoberfest. For dinner, my wife had the Chicken Salad Croissant with Homemade Chips and I had the Hearth Burger with Homemade Chips. Both were very good. The Jenkins Twins were the live music tonight and they were great. I took a picture of their upcoming music talent for January and first part of February.

It truly takes you out of the hustle and bustle of a busy workweek. They have a very nice koi pong outside with a spot to sip wine near by. I side they have a beautiful bar area and many cozy spots for dipping wine and relaxing with a good read. The patio space is also very nice and it was a gorgeous day when we were out there. Now for the wines! I must say I liked every wine I tried. I especially enjoyed a states berry basil wine and a mango wine. They are absolutely perfect for summer and non of the wines are overly sweet which is appreciated. So much all you taste is what was added vs the wine. The owners are a husband and wife team and I couldn't love that more. They truly put their heart and soul into the wine, production, down to the selection of the grapes. The name is a nod to their time in Japan. As them about it! Can't wait to come back on a nice day for another glass. It's a little far out for me but worth the adventure!

They didn't have the Rosé bottled when we went so we'll have to go back. Ghost Fox had a tasty spicy cucumber wine as well. They host a monthly book event where you bring your own book and enjoy a silent reading hour every last Wednesday of the month. The property is gorgeous and sits at a high elevation so it's absolutely beautiful to look out. Definitely worth checking out!

Can't say enough wonderful things about this winery. The owners were some of the nicest people you…read morecould meet. Even better yet the selection of wines and the taste was just phenomenal. Bar far some of the best wine I've ever had. My wife and I love door county winery in Wisconsin and really enjoy the sweeter fruit wines. However the wines here are so much better than those offered at door county. To start the Kentucky diamond is sweet yet light and refreshing. The red dog is amazing if you like red wine and want something a little different. It's slightly sweet yet has an oak finish almost resembles a tawny or a Porto but with a much lighter finish and not nearly as rich and sweet. The blackberry wine was phenomenal it's not to strong and doesn't taste to much like alcohol it has just the right amount of blackberry and is a much smoother finish than the door country blackberry wine. The cherry cordial is also quite phenomenal it has just the right amount of cherry with a brilliant chocolate finish yet it's not to sweet. I didn't find any wine here I didn't enjoy. It's a shame that the wine they make can only be bought here locally at the winery. Well worth the trip from Wisconsin to Kentucky just to buy a few bottles of this wine. By far one of my favorite wineries that seems to be hidden in the middle of the mountains. Even the history of this winery is quite interesting with ties back to Thomas Jefferson and Daniel Boone can't say enough great things about this winery or the people who own it. We will definitely be visiting again soon.

All the wines were unique. They have an Apple Pie that tastes like pie and a Cherry Cordial that smells and tastes like Cherry tootsie pops! They offer dry and sweet wines too. Everybody in our group was satisfied. This is a great vineyard to visit for the wine and conversation.
