I love this Chapters. In college my boyfriend use to live in St Catharines and we would come here, get a coffee and browse the aisles. I've never had a bad experience with any of the employees, they've been helpful when finding specific titles and giving recommendations. After living in Toronto for years, I'm moving back to Thorold soon and actually looking SO forward to being able to come back here to shop for my books in person and absorb the atmosphere :) read more

My child and their friend were asked to leave after spending a short time reading. ALLL of the THOUSANDS of dollars I have spent at Chapters and Indigo over the years on books, toys, LEGO, games, stationary, cards, DnD, home deco, knick-knacks, insanely overpriced gifts for others, even supporting during COVID??? Unreal! Not to mention all of the retirees who take books and mags into the Starbucks and read for free? For the love of reading? If you are not spending money on overpriced merchandise we don't want you in our store as potential future customers? Wow, just WOW. We should be thanking the heavens that young people choose to READ instead of smoking weed or getting up to no good. And in small town too. Gross. I will no longer shop here and ensure my teens don't waste their allowances & BDAY money here either. We will go to Amazon or Temu now or heck, the LIBRARY where everything is FREE! There should never be, at any point, anyone asking children and teens to stop reading. Wake up Chapters, if you want future customers, you better work on inspiring a love of reading in them. read more

Another Chapter in my life I am actually quite fond of this chapters. It is very spacious and clean. The staff are friendly and don't mind helping you out. The best part about it is probably the awesome Starbucks that it is connected to. The layout of both of them compliment each other quite nice. This Chapters is located at Fairview mall and can be reached from the inside the mall. I come here quite often (whenever I miss the GO bus). I noticed they have a large magazine section which could intrigue some people. What I like about this Chapters in comparison to some of the other ones I've been to, is that it's never super busy (from my experience). Other than that, it's you average Chapters with a huge selection of books. They have computers set up in various locations that allow you to search for whatever book you want. Every time I go here, I end up buying a book lol. So careful, they have lots of good selections! read more

Great book store with a super cute baby/children's book section. I also really liked the baby things they had here, including cute sippy cups, funny bibs, teethers, books, and more. Starbucks is located inside the Chapters for all the coffee fiends. The other sections of the book store also had a great selection, and it had enough doodads here to keep us interested while we were waiting for our coffees at Starbucks after grabbing a few books (sales all the time!). We were staying at the Best Western near this little mall, and it was so cool to have this Chapters close by. We loved visiting, and this was definitely our favorite store in the mall. Staff was very friendly and informative. If we were local, we would love to come here more often! read more

The manger, Kaitlin, and the cashier, Lois, in the St. Catharines Chapter's location when above and beyond their call of service to access me with an on-line order that I personally made a mistake not completing. It is my daughter's 7th birthday tomorrow and they assessed me with an order I unknowingly did not complete. This morning, I tried to track my daughter's gift and its shipping information to only learn I had not completed the on-line order correctly. They helped me make my mistake right. Thank you Kaitlin and Lois for your kindness and empathy to my situation. My daughter is waking up to her birthday wish tomorrow morning because of your help. read more

Great book selection, with sales on almost daily. Free wifi is always a bonus. The staff seem to be friendly no matter where I visit. Could use more seating, but that's what Starbucks if for. read more

Was extremely unsatisfied with the costumer service that I revived earlier this morning. I found the books I wanted fairly promptly and checked out. I then had some time to kill so I decided to stick around and read. All the chairs were taken so I decided to take a seat in an empty back corner. I was seated for nearly 2 hours with workers going by periodically. At one point nearing two hours a lady comes by and asks if she looks at the books behind me and I applying move so she can see them. As she is looking for her book, a worker and the manager come up on each isle of the corner and first the worker suggests " there are some chairs over there if you want to sit." and I reply with thank you and continue to stand, wanting to just sit where I was. and then the manager speaks up and I quote "there are plenty seats over there. you must move you are clogging the isle." So I quickly grabbed my things and moved to where she suggested and there was not a single seat. I'm all for safety but is sitting quietly in a corner really a fire hazard? I'm sorry my business isn't good enough. Won't be buying any books at this chapters again. read more
