And obviously super experienced with wrangling large groups of unpredictable (and frankly, volatile) children. I booked this company for my daughter's Moana Birthday party. The "character" they sent was NOT the character we were expecting to book. She looked nothing like Moana, her wig and costume looked cheap and she was wearing Cinderella sparkly stiletto heels ! I even had one of the kids say " why is Moana wearing heels?" It was so embarrassing for me and I'm sure for the hired character. She did not perform or do all of the things that we booked: singing and dancing with the kids, games or face paint. The games were not thought out at all and was very disorganized and the face painting was done with stencils -and did not transfer well on the kids faces! It was awful! I have 3 children and we go above and beyond for their birthdays and obviously booking characters is not cheap ! I've emailed and called requesting a refund because we clearly paid for a service we didn't receive. So far they have only paid back the deposit and now I am trying to speak with the owner who still won't return my calls or emails regarding a full refund! It shouldn't be our responsibility to pay the character for what we didn't receive. read more

Hired two characters. Both Characters did not perform. When one showed up the costume didn't fit. They tried to have the other person get a new Spider-Man costume. 45 minutes late. Aurea as Rapunzel princess was so sweet and patjent to every kid at our 3 year old princess party. Our daughter didn't quite warm up to her yet but there were older kids who loved Rapunzel! She did an amazing job and loved having her celebrate with us. She sang and provided stickers. We could not do face painting Bc of the soft foam. She was also very responsive by text and came early too. We'll definitely book again from this company and hopefully get Aurea again ! read more

I'm pretty disappointed in our experience with Party Princess Productions. I booked Darth Vader for my son's first birthday party a few months ago. His party was today and I didn't receive a follow up email until a week of the party, which was fine. The email stated the actor would give me a call to discuss details. Never received a phone call until I left a message yesterday stating I never got a call. Not a good sign especially the day prior to the party. The owner gave me a call letting me know that I should expect a call the following day (which is today) from the actor. To my surprise, I get a call at 10pm last night from the actor! Who calls someone that late in the evening? It's not respectful and bad business practice. I call the actor back this morning at 8am and he sounded like my phone call woke him up. He was polite on the phone as we went over the details. He arrived to the venue on time in plain clothes to go over the entrance and activities. As he was getting changed, he calls me to let me know he forgot his Darth Vader helmet at home! OMG. I'm a pretty patient and understanding person (because hey we're only human). He tells me it'll be about 40min until he comes back. The sad thing is we had a specific timeline of events and luckily our event planner was quick enough to move events around so the kids can remain entertained. We also had a smash cake planned with us singing "happy birthday" with Darth Vader before my son's normal nap time. But because he had to leave to get his helmet, that had to be pushed and we had to quickly get through the events. When he came back the kids enjoyed his time with him. However the strap from his helmet can be seen hanging so some of the older kids were not interested in any of the activities. The actor did feel bad about what had happened and apologized. However the incidents including today merits the low review. read more

I definitely was expecting more for the price we paid. The website advertises beautiful characters which is different from the character who showed up. She would stand awkwardly as if she had no idea what to do.. stood around with her hands in front of her looking uncomfortable as if it were her 1st gig. I expected Ariel (cameron) to mingle more with the guests and children in character and I wanted to sing happy birthday before she left ... I guess I expected her to lead it off with her beautiful voice but no... she did nothing to stand out or make it about my daughter as it was her 1st birthday, she just blended with the crowd and sung at a low tempo with everyone else. only thing GOOD about her, she was nice... THAT'S IT. face painting wasn't that great (no offense). all her paintings were super small and simple like a heart, star and ball literally the size of my thumb. it was a lot we paid and weren't too satisfied. Very disappointed on many levels as I've read good reviews. researching other companies to hire a superhero for my sons bday in october... def not spending another $300 on something to not get a memorable birthday for my kids and guests. read more

I have used Party Princess Productions before in OC for my daughter's birthday and it was amazing! Cinderella has all the kids' attention from the start and her singing was beautiful. We just used them again and I got Cinderella for our San Diego Walk4Hearing 5k fundraising event in Mission Bay, San Diego. She was amazing with each child that came over to sit with her and get their face or hands or arms painted. She was very patient as some of our walkers are deaf and hard of hearing. We hired Princess Cinderella for my daughter's 4th birthday and she did an amazing job! She stayed in character the whole time. We had her for 1.5 hours. She went along with our schedule. She helped with singing happy birthday and cutting the cake, which took so much pressure off of mommy haha. Then sang and dance to songs. She kept my birthday girl engaged during face painting. She had fun vibrant face paint colors to choose from and had a few colors of gemstones too. She talked about her life at the castle and took some more pictures before she had to go. Amazing & magical time for my daughter's 6th Birthday party! We had Rapunzel come to the park & she was nearly knocked over by the girls running to greet her. Lol Rapunzel then gracefully fielded rapid fire tough questions (re: her castle, Cinderella, & why she was wearing shoes!). The girls loved her so much! Just when I was wondering how to get the girls over to the picnic shelter to eat, Rapunzel announced that it was snack time & of course all the little princesses followed. Rapunzel played with them on the playground, had princess school & hiding seek. I think she would have done more games, but the girls had so many questions & just wanted to hang out with her. We ended up with more kids than expected so there wasn't enough time to get everybody face painted, but Rapunzel was very flexible. I picked up some temporary tattoos instead & Rapunzel did that. I also recruited another Mom & older girl to help her. Rapunzel led the birthday song & cake cutting too! This was our fourth party with Party Princess Productions. Honestly, I can't imagine having another party without these characters. We've had Anna and Elsa. The Rock n Roll Fashionista duo. Spiderman. Every time they've been amazing. They get right to "work" with the children...smiles on at all times, gentle demeanor, friendly, just wonderful young people who really know how to play with kids. Face painting, balloon animals, story time, dancing, playing, dancing, they do it all. The benefit of all this is that parents can really sit back, relax, and enjoy their children's experience with the wonderful characters. Special shout out to our "Spiderman" from back in November. He went all out for 2 solid hours, playing with kids, "in character," so he was running around, climbing on everything, non-stop. We were all amazed. Great for both boys and girls with so many characters to choose from! It is absolutely priceless to see the kids light up when they see their favorite characters come to life! The memories made are something they will remember for a lifetime. I love the authenticity of the Party Princess characters both through the actors and actresses who play them as well as the costumes, they really make the magic come alive. An hour and a half to two hours is perfect for entertaining little ones. Easy to book. Cost effective, beautiful memories for the price, a really great fun experience for both kids and adults. This was the first time I have ever hired a character to come to one of my daughters parties and it will most definitely be my last. I paid $200 for something I thought was going to be amazing and from the pictures on the website however I did not get what I paid for, The guy that showed up to my house did not do a "grand" entrance like it says, He just walked out and said nothing, His fly was down the majority of the time-We had to tell him to zip his fly, he was not clean shaven like Captain America is, He did not have the gloves or boots like it is advertised on the website and he wore SNEAKERS, The children were bored most of the time, He did not entertain them, The "face" painting was LESS than mediocre at best I was expecting a legitimate person to paint the children's faces, Age appropriate games did not happen like advertised, I was so disappointed I did not even want him staying the whole 1.5 hours I paid for, Needless to say this was my first and definitely my last time ever hiring a character from this company, I am thoroughly disappointed in the service I received and I was truly looking forward to my daughters reaction to this as Captain America is her favorite superhero ever!! read more

Google made it very easy to look up Party Princess, and I came across Party Princess Productions. The website was very user friendly, I was able to look at Prices immediately and looked at all the Disney characters. My daughters 5th Birthday Party was going to be at Mission Bay, so naturally, we choose to have a Little Mermaid Themed party. As I'm searching, I came across the most beautiful Princess Ariel. Then I looked to see what activities she does with the kids. I saw story time, sing along, face painting, pictures with the Princess, and lastly, Ariel leading the Happy Birthday song. She was AMAZING. Everyone stopped what they were doing as soon as Princess Ariel started to sing. She sang so beautifully. We also set up a fun photo booth with Little Mermaid props, which Ariel loved. After the party I got a lot of people interested in getting their own Princess Ariel at their next party. read more

We had Snow Queen for our 3 year-old princess party. The price at Party Princess Productions was a little cheaper than Royal Entertainers that we used when our 5 year-old had 3 year-old princess Belle BD party. All our guests and we had high expectation for princess since princess Belle from Royal Entertainers was absolutely beautiful and acted like real Belle during the entire party when our 5 year-old had princess party from Royal Entertainers. It is not the performer's fault and I don't want to be rude, and I think she was trying to do her best she could to keep children's attention, but she was way too old for princess, she must be at least 40 years old or maybe older. I am not sure what kind of qualification Party Princess Productions has to be qualified for becoming a Princess performer. Our children have met a lot of Snow Queen before at different events, but none of them was THAT old looking princess. She could not keep all children's attention during the party, children were all over the place so I needed to go get and gather children back to her and bring activity to her to keep children's' attention. You get what you paid for (but still it was not cheap, I paid $165 for 1 hour), so if you are thinking of throwing a princess party for your girl, you might want to reconsider using this company. read more
