This place is a joke. They do not care about you whatsoever. All they care about is getting your insurance money. I've been calling for a week straight to schedule an appointment with my doctor. the elyria branch is beyond terrible! they have been chronically understaffed at the reciptionist position for over a year plus i 100% promise you that i have not been able to get not one single phone call answered when calling in the last year and so many months. you call and the phone line about half the time tells me that i am at position #1 to be answered..cool, should be quickly...nope...you wait and wait & at the max time of 10 minutes waiting at phone position #1, the phone line tells you to please leave a message and that you will be called bavk shortly..... again, i promise you that i have not have recieved 1 phone call back over the last year and so many months... the only time that i have recieved a phone call from the elyria branch was after i had told my provider about the issue & she had to sent a message to the recieptionist to contact me & this had taking about a week yo recieve a call from this branch... thats it!!!! i have learned that i must call any of the other charack offices to initiate contact as to schedule appointments, relay messages to my provider, to have my medical information requested by other medical proffesionals sent to the medical proffesionals requesting my info among other things.. because of this i have several times been delayed in recieving needed medical treatment by the elyria charack center office and other medical proffesionals due to this centers most staggering unproffesionalism. i now tell all medical proffesionals requesting my medical records & also my health insurer not to contact the eyria brqnch due 5o this problems as i hace also been told many times by other medical proffesionals & my insurance company that they have not recieved any replies via phone call, messages left, mail, & e-mails..... in a bizzare paradoxical twist, the reason i remain a patient of the charack center is being that that my current & previous pysch doctor aubrey & mykayla were easily the best and most personal pysch doctors that i have ever had for many important reasons & i am able to call the other centers and they are able to usually answer my phone calls immediately & are able to handle everything that my home office can not handle as all offices are inter-connected online.. read more

I didn't even make it to an appt because you have the rudest most disgusting call center staff answering the phones. The first time I called the woman was polite but I could hear another male cust service rep chewing out someone on the phone who was trying to make an appt. The second time I called this woman was so rude I hung up the phone because her attitude for having to do her job was disgusting. And from the looks of the reviews on here I'm glad I hung up because this place seems like a nightmare you should be ashamed of yourself what a disgrace. read more

very unorganized and not consistent. I had two caseworker and both do not respond and make promises. I had two counselors one left without notice to the patient and I had to call to see what was going on to find this out. spoke to another one and he sent message for them to call and set appointment. never happened and it been over a month or so. Frustrated. I took a UA-they said it was +. I waited 4 weeks to talk to someone that quit...I was not informed. I called Serina, who is amazing, but they should be reported to the medical board. My UA ended up being negative. When you have stress and anxiety, this shouldn't happen. It brings on more stress. The practitioners treat u like u are seeking. It's called mental health for a reason...if you're burnt out, sit down! read more

ATTN: Drug users (including pot smokers). You will be given a drug test during your intake appointment, and if you do not pass the drug test, you will not be prescribed controlled substances. I came in looking to continue treatment for my ADHD, which includes a prescription for Adderall. I have been prescribed this medication for years and have been a marijuana user for years and it's never been a problem. I was told by a nurse that they have a 0 tolerance drug policy when it comes to prescribing ANY controlled substance, even if the illicit drug has no interactions with the prescribed drug. So be warned- if you are a drug user of any kind, you will be denied access to full services at this place. read more

This place is absolute trash. Stay away from Dr. Bhandari. He is a nasty old school psychiatrist who has absolute no concern for your views on your condition. He gives you zero room to talk. Left his office in tears due to his condescending attitude. Good luck trying to have an honest conversation with this terrible doctor. Never on time for my refills. It's awful, I'm always rushed by the doctors and they always seem to be in a bad mood. Oh and by the way, you'll probably wait at least 45 minutes for your appointment. I've been going here for 5-6 years and it's time for me to find somewhere else to go!!!! read more

I started getting services at the Elyria location on September 14th, 2020. I had trouble getting proper care ever since then. I couldn't get an appointment with a therapist until the end of October. When I did see her, her appointments were booked out until December. I had called my case manager and she helped me switch to someone that talks to me once a week. So since November 1st, I didn't have a case manager because she left. I've called and called about that but I felt unheard. I seen a psychiatrist since September 28th. I had trouble getting the labs he wanted sent over for a month. The medicines he was giving me wasn't working so he talked about taking Viibryd 40 mg since October. It has been giving me the side effects of dizziness. He put me on Abilify 2 mg with it. The Abilify just amplified the dizziness to be even worse. I kept trying to get a hold of a nurse since November 23rd. I called everyday to see if she was in. So when I finally called on November 27th, the front desk finally told me that she wasn't in all week but she'd be in November 30th. The front desk gave me advice to go to the ER. If I know what's causing the dizziness, what's the point of going to the ER? I got transferred to another nurse at the Garfield Heights location. She said I could taper down to 20 mg. I called and asked for the Elyria nurse Debbie. She wasn't very nice. I told her everything that's been going on. She kept saying my Verapamil 180 mg was making me dizzy. That's not what I was inquiring about. I have taken Verapamil for 4 years for my migraines and never had a problem with dizziness. Only when I started taking the Viibryd, the dizziness came on. The psychiatrist said I was intolerant to treatment. How do you have the right to say that when you only tried me on two medications? The psychiatrist didn't try anything else and thought the combo of Viibryd and Abilify was the miracle medication. I didn't feel like I was getting the care I need here. I feel like my care was a joke to everyone. I called a lot to try and get the help I need and it just ends in more frustration and disappointment. I'd advise going to different place. read more

I was not impressed. The place seemed seedy and I think they were more interested in milking my insurance for outrageous sums than helping me. On one appointment after waiting over an hour past my time the doctor spent most of my visit texting someone. When he finally turned his attention on me he asked me if everything was the same and when I said yes he said good come back in 2 weeks. That was it. Of course the insurance was billed for a whole session. I decided it wasn't worth my time to go back. read more

Terrible care. My daughter spent a year there getting treatment and she actually got worse. They had her on way too many meds and her new team of psychiatrists cut her meds in half. She's now going to Advanced Recovery Concepts and has improved tremendously. read more

I have been using this office for almost two years and the last 6 months has been nothing but problems. I've had appointments that were made a month in advance be cancelled an hour before I was supposed to be there. That have messed up prescriptions multiple times. At times it has taken a week or more to get a simple prescription refilled. And more often than not I have had to wait in the waiting room for over an hour past my appointment time. All they care about is money and getting more patients. Do yourself a favor and find a different doctors office. read more
