At YWCA Greater Cleveland engaged Energetic Awakenings to help us process and talk about some internal issues and difficult subjects. David Phillips was our practitioner. His calming presence and excellent facilitation skills, helped us to create a safe space, bring some issues to the forefront, and create action steps. Personally, I have participated in a group workshop with Energetic Awakenings where they helped me process some difficult emotions through core body work. I did not realize how much emotion I was holding on to, and how that pent-up emotion was holding me back. Even though I was in a group setting, I felt that the practitioner was able to give each person (including me) the individual attention that they needed. They made me feel safe. When my 20 year old son was having some personal problems and struggling at university, I took him to Energetic Awakenings. Of course, I was not in the room when they were working due to patient confidentiality. However, I can say that my son was more hopeful and at peace after his work at Energetic Awakenings. This clinic put me with a counselor who I did not feel was helping with my recovery, then tried…read morehaving me join some relapse prevention zoom group which I kept forgetting to go so that's a **** up on my part, but they them proceed to put me with the SAME counselor who I was having issues with and I would just really love to know how that makes any sense at all I was even told by other staff that I am not the only person who had had issues with this particular counselor. The tip of the iceberg was when they denied me my dose because I could not stay and update my treatment plan because I had to go to court and it was not an option to miss court, even after suggesting that would be able to come back afterwards and being denied that option, so I'm going on 4 days without dosing, and itll be going on 7 days without dosing by the time I can finally go in yo update my treatment plan. That is absolutely bull**** and completely unacceptable, how do they expect anyone to maintain there sobriety if they are denying people there doses because they can't stay for an hour on a day they were not scheduled to stay anyways, I'm honestly flabbergasted.

I was here for several months over the summer, and then returned for a couple months in the fall. Once again I received excellent care from the staff, especially Connie, Stephanie, Lisa and Barb. I was a very complex patient that needed a lot of extra care around the clock, and they delivered! Life Care got me back on my feet and on the road to recovery. The center didn't get all of the medicines from the hospital until a few days after he was…read moretransferred even though the family kept telling the nurses he wasn't getting all of his meds. The floors were not cleaned or even swept for the first four days. A family member was given medication by the nurse to dispense to the patient while visiting. He complained about the terrible food every day and the lack of attendance. It sometimes took hours for someone to help him go to the bathroom. They said they were short staffed. He arrived to recover and rehab from intestinal surgery. A little more than a week later he was transferred back to the hospital where we were informed that he had a kidney stone, pneumonia, water on his heart, recurring colon problems, and a broken hip. The colon/abdominal surgery was the issue and why he checked into this center for rehab.

Luckily, my own therapist through another facility told me this when I expressed my concerns to her. My son's counselor was clearly looking for billable hours. I contacted her initially to assess my son for ADHD and behavior problems at school. His teachers were waiting for strategies, answers, etc. 1. After 8+ sessions with my son she refused to provide a therapy plan, strategies, feedback for myself and his teachers to work with him despite my requests. I spoke with her supervisor who defended her and also refused to advise on a therapy plan, strategies, etc - which tells me this whole place is out for $$$$. They both advised that I keep bringing him. 2. My son's therapy notes were clearly copied and pasted from week to week or, worst case, in my initial session with her, from his brother's intake session. She blatently refers to him by the wrong name and in the worst incident, on a day when he was so tired he could barely function, her notes described him as alert and actively participating in the session - a direct phrase copied from the prior session. Your children deserve better. DO NOT PAY THEM.

They will expect you to go through hours of surgery and take ibuprofen afterwards... After the Dr lying and saying it was going to be okay for months so I would keep coming and paying. I don't suggest them. They have no steady counselors because no one wants to work there. Spend your money elsewhere! I've been to free clinics that were better! Dr rich is a liar and does not care one bit about your actual recovery. He's just there to get paid. Doesn't even ask the questions required just answers them himself and writes them down. Dana is nice, the manager but she can't control anything so really it's useless.

I've had 4 Dr.s in 3 years, 3 different counselors, and I cant even count how many nurses have come and gone. They also use arbitrary monitoring of your urine specimen. Some get monitored, others that have been there the same amount if time dont, theres no consistency. Dr.s and nurses dont care, youre just another patient/paycheck to them. Their solution if you cant give a sample after waiting for several hours, kick you out, charge you more, and make you come back a week later to go through the same hell all over again. Also, the waiting room is often so crowded that there is standing room only. If you're looking for an addiction clinic, i suggest you keep looking.
