By far the nicer hotel of the 4 that I stayed in. Larger "American sized" elevators and a newer more modern hotel with more space in the rooms. No down pillows but the blanket was down. The amenities offered were what I expect in the U.S. Little complimentary bottles of shampoo, conditioner, body wash, lotion and a bar of soap with shower caps. Nexpresso machine and coffee maker with nice selection of teas and espresso and coffee in the room was a nice benefit. Free wifi. Breakfast was in the big ball room with smoked fish, meats, eggs boiled and scrambled. Cereals yogurt fresh and canned fruits. Good bread spread and cheeses. No bell service.

When we entered the elevator, it would not take us to the lobby (maybe because we didn't have a key?). As a result, my sons and I had to carry 5 heavy suitcases, some weighing 23 kg (50 lbs), up the stairs ourselves. No one was there to greet arriving guests, assist with luggage, or provide a luggage cart. We were told when we finally reached the front desk around 2:40 PM that someone was normally stationed downstairs, but they were short-staffed that day... We were also informed that our room would not be ready until at least 3:00 PM. When I returned at 3:00 PM, there was a very long line because a Delta flight to Atlanta had been canceled, and many of those passengers had been accommodated at the hotel. Despite there being only 2 employees checking guests in, the wait took nearly an hour. Unfortunately, this significantly cut into our afternoon, as we had planned to head into Amsterdam city center to explore. To make matters worse, when we finally got to our room, some of the towels were dirty, and there was hair in both the shower and the bathtub. I had to call the front desk and request clean towels before we could even get settled. Honestly, there are several other airport hotels in the Schiphol area that offer a much better experience for the same price ~ or even less. While this was only my personal experience, I would not choose to stay here again or recommend it based on the service and cleanliness we encountered.

I flew in on the red eye, and there is a $100 euro early check in fee if you don't want to wait around all morning into the latter part of the day for your room. If you're a breakfast person. The Bowery restaurant housed at the Hiltion offered up fresh squeezed juices, pastries, and standard breakfast staples like scrambled eggs, bacon and sausage. The coffee machine delivers some really great tasting coffee. The food was delicious and worth the money. Now, let's talk about the room. The airport hotel offers what else? airport views. I can see KLM airlines right outside my window. The room is small, but clean and comfy. I was told by the front desk when checking in that the water coming out of the sink is potable. Now about the bathroom bathtub, who on earth designed those tub walls? A rock climber? An ordinary person would need a ladder just to get in and/or be extremely flexible. I'm just too short :) Location wise, this place is unbeatable. The train station is literally attached to the airport, so getting into Amsterdam city center is a breeze. And if you need a quick bite or forgot to bring some necessary items like toiletries, the terminal has plenty of local eateries and a supermarket to fill up. Only knocking off one star for the Mount Everest of bathtubs, but overall a solid place to stay that I would recommend!

Parking was very easy, and it was a nice bonus to look out at the open fields and spot airplanes landing and taking off nearby. There are also plenty of EV charging points right on-site, which made things incredibly convenient. Perfect spot for an event stay or a quick stopover near the airport. Smooth check-in and no complaints at all--would definitely recommend!

When we landed at AMS airport, we waited in the hotel shuttle area for about a half hour before the Hotel Schiphol shuttle arrived. It was a large shuttle, the size of a bus, and filled up quickly. The shuttle was free, which was fantastic. Check-in was quick and easy. There were several desk clerks working when we arrived. We were asked to estimate how much money we thought we would be spending at the hotel restaurants and they used that amount to estimate the hold amount that they placed on my credit card. I thought that was an interesting approach. In the US, you really don't have a choice in the amount that they place on hold on your credit card at hotels. We had a "deluxe" room, which was huge. There was a massive walk-in rain shower and a huge jetted bathtub in the bathroom. They do not provide wash cloths or kleenex, so know that you will need to bring those items if you use them. The bed was comfortable and the hotel had very good sound-proofing. Even though the hotel was close to the airport (although not in walking distance), there wasn't a lot of loud air traffic noise. The breakfast buffet, which costs extra but was included in our room price, was huge, with a lot of variety in pastries, hot items, juices, etc. The breakfast hours were very generous. You could enter any time until 11 am! This was especially nice when you were tired from jet-lag and didn't want to get up early for breakfast. The hotel restaurants were very good (we especially liked the Brasserie for lunch) and there are other nearby restaurants just a short walk across the parking lot. The hotel also had two self-serve mini marts, with snacks and beverages for purchase. We did not use the pool or workout facilities, so I cannot comment on those. We would definitely stay at the Hotel Schiphol again.
