A restaurant in the lobby serves breakfast, lunch and dinner buffet style, which allows guests to dine at their leisure. There's a 24-hour fitness center, spa and snack shop stocked with a variety of items found at a convenience store. The staff was very informative, friendly and knowledgeable about the surrounding area and offered recommendations on where to shop and the different activities Amsterdam has to offer.

Then I did a quad room for 4 guests and there was one queen/king bed and a separate little room with 2 twin beds and one bathroom for four people. Then I also did two twin bed room for two people which was just a normal room. Then front desk staff were all friendly and helpful as was the housekeeping staff. The only downside was the first day when we arrived, the shuttle driver skipped the stop at the airport and refused to admit he did so even though there was a group of guests waiting. When one of the other guests confronted him, he called all of us idiots for missing the bus. However, the bus was unmarked except for the one sheet of paper that was posted INSIDE the bus saying it's for the Corendon. You can't even see the paper from the outside until you've actually tried to board the bus. So that behavior was not appreciated. The plane thats at the back of the hotel was pretty cool and you can visit it for €3 a person. It's a retired KLM plane. The AYCE breakfast option isn't bad. Lots to choose from. In addition, if you need to do laundry, you can use the on-site laundry facility at the apartments side of the hotels.

The rooms are highly artistic in design but we found the round glass shower in the center of the room, and the open toilet area to be wasted space and difficult to maneuver around for two people. The bed was great and huge for the overall size of the room. We also liked that the hotel came equipped with both European and American outlets. The communal space downstairs was nice with lots of places to sit or gather in. There was a restaurant, but not many gluten-free choices so we elected to order in food. Overall the convenience of the hotel for a quick layover and the design of the lobby and communal spaces are ideal. Rooms are fine, just a little functionality sacrificed for art i think.

With a bus (45) and metro (M52), you'll be at the Amsterdam Central Station in about 30 minutes. We used daily pass (8 euro per person) which is very reasonable considering it's good for three different modes of transportation--bus, streetcar and metro train for 24 hours period. Rooms are small especially for our party of three. Besides a double bed, hideaway wall bed and private bathroom, there's not much space left. There was a small table and two stools, and a small TV set placed high on the wall meeting the ceiling. The best amenity they offer here is the strong-signaled free WiFi in your room. It's a life saver. There's a business station right next to the front reception desk. There's bending fridge for drinks and ice cream bars. You pay at the reception counter. There also is a play room with foosball and billiard tables. The only thing it's missing is a pool and spa. The customer service people/front desk clerks are pleasant, efficient and some are very friendly and very helpful. If you have any questions about your trip into Amsterdam, or any other local attractions, don't hesitate to ask for answers for your questions. They'll gladly assist you. There is no restaurant in the premises, but there's an over-priced one next door. Once we looked at the menu posted outside, we decided it wasn't for us. I know things are pricey in Europe in general and Amsterdam in particular, but I didn't feel like paying 18 euro for a hamburger and fries. There are some Asian restaurants/eateries within a walking distance. If it's not too hot, you could walk about 20 minutes to a cluster of Asian eateries. There must've been four or five on Nederhoven Street through the student housing area. There was a walkway along the canal. We enjoyed seeing some nice residences along the way and back. It's part of an adventure trekking in a foreign city...we enjoyed it very much.

I think it recently went non smoking on the inside, and the guests were 4 deep out front smoking, which frankly is irritating to walk through, but whatever. No bar at this hotel, but you can go to the Ibis bar. I'd stay here again if I had to, but I'd rather pay a little more and stay at the Ibis.

Basically, its a room and shower :rest area inside the airport where one can rest and clean up when waiting for delayed flights, cancelled flights. Or whatever without leaving the physical airport. This was a great alternative. No more needing to find a shuttle, or stressing to get back into the airport, the traffic. I hate traffic. Easy peasy, and just have to go through security and you are right at your gate. Pros: convenience, location, proximity to flight/gate incase your flight is early. Cons: an idiot was smoking when wr arrived and i was having major asthma attacks. I felt like i was dying. It was a major no no! Luckily, they went from room to room and found the culprit who was chain smoking. I literally wanted to choke the guy. Im glad we were able to find this alternative thanks to my sis. The entire plane filled with 300+ passengers were scrambling. We were lucky. Cons: if your luggage doesn't reach your destination, you have the airport that has Victoria's secrets and other options for toiletries , its just a hassle and the room is basic. My tv was broken, remote wouldn't work, and the shower was a bit questionable because water was venturing into places i was hoping it would not. Yotel is well-kept, comfortable and with a little white noise splendid and convenient sleeping before the next departure. This is not five star, five diamond luxury but it serves its purpose well. For what it is, it gets a five star rating. Otherwise, it has more of what you might call scaled down four-star trappings. The beds do recline flat and once horizontal, voila! You're on your way to slumber before zipping off to other corners of the world. McDonald's is a quick walk, but does have operating hours. Be sure to get your order in before closing or you could go to bed hungry. As for someone who wrote that they could not find Yotel, it's easy to reach. If I may offer a little unsolicited advice though: it's always good to brush up on spatial sense.

KLM booked a room here as part of an accommodation including dinner and free shuttle from airport. I paid for a taxi given the wait for the free shuttle -35 Euros for a 10 minute ride and worth it. The space is massive and is divided into two sections for rooms. Higher room numbers closer to reception and lower closer to the dining room. If your card won't work on the elevator you're not in the right section. Part of my accommodation was dinner at the Hotel's "World Buffet." I'm not a big fan of buffets so I asked at reception about it -I was assured this was one of the best buffets given his experience at multiple hotels. There was food from around the world as stated-Local, Asian, Indian, salad bar, dessert with cake and ice cream and espresso machines. I will say it was very good by Buffet standards (that said, given the full day of travel issues, most anything would've tasted good) & although I didn't pay, price is close to 40 Euros.
