I'm based in Toronto, trying to sign mortgage documents for a house we purchased in the US. Unfortunately, unlike most places, the US county won't use Docusign and still demands "wet signatures". Canadian lawyers don't suffice because Canada hasn't signed the Hague Service Convention. That would have required our Federal and Provincial governments to all agree on something! So we badly needed a US Notary, and needed one quickly. Use of an online US notary would have been clunky because we'd then have to ship the partly signed documents to them, have them finish signing and sealing, then ship to the bank -- a slow and uncertain process to get "wet signatures" to the bank and the county. Enter Chuck. We found him on Yelp and he was as good as the reviews said he was. Chuck was flexible, met us on a Sunday, just the other side of the International bridge (took us 1' 20" to get to), signed all the documents and had us back on our way back within 30 minutes. What a pleasure! We'd absolutely use him any time we need US notarial service again in the future. By the way - US Notary signatures are only a fraction of the cost in Canada since notaries there do not have to be lawyers. read more

Set up to sign power of attorney papers for my mother in the hospital. He made time and helped day of knowing the urgency of the situation. Responsive right away and showed up to her room on time without more info than her name and room number. Great and professional with my mom, efficiently and quickly got the papers signed and notarized. Affordable, especially given that he drove to us and waited through hospital security to get a badge.
