My partner (Lynne Maher & I both continue to be CEFCU customers. CEFCU did EVENTUALLY take care of…read morethe credit card balance. However, not before sending a letter stating the payment was $10 past due & further privileges to use the account & late fees would accumulate if past due amount wasn't paid. Then loan was taken care of. Sent another statement showing close to $4 still due. Had to call to ask. Said it showed $0 balance. Asked for letter to be sent about credit card being paid off & improperly charged weekly $50 amounts after being turned in & CEFCU not shutting card off. NEVER WAS SENT LETTER. ALSO,have had problems with payment of consolidation loan monthly payments by Lynne. In at least one instance teller failed to deposit into checking so it'd be available for automatic transfer. In the end her automatic transfer has now been terminated by CEFCU. Both of us have accounts at another local community bank. That bank is much easier to work with & gets to know it's customers. I now have my automatic deposit going there...not CEFCU.

First of all, my husband and I have been with this bank since 2012. It has been a while since I started noticing that this Credit Union slowly has been controlling how much money you can take out of your bank account daily ($1,000 maximum). I called them to raise that amount and I was told that they could not help me. I am sure that rich people don't have that limit like we regular people have. Not to mention, you can only take max of $300 at a time! Something else, I received a check for $1,680 from a Title Company. I deposited April 14th, today is the 18th and still not one penny available. I called CEFCU, got a rude representative and I was told that it won't be available until the 20th. Well, as we know the 20th is on Sunday so my guess is that I will probably have the money available Monday the 21st (Thank God we don't need the money right now) My husband and I haven't changed this bank because we are moving to FL and are planning to use another credit union over there who has very good reputation and care for their members. FYI, the deposit was made at an affiliated Credit Union and when I went to ask why the money wasn't available, they told me it was processed the same day but it was being held by CEFCU. In the past it used to be that if you deposit over $1,000 at least $1,000 was available right away, obviously that has been gone too!

Where do I begin…read more. It took a while to get anything even started here, despite the fact that all paperwork required were submitted. Lets skip all the way to the move in date~ On move in day, I was promised the keys to our new home at 11 AM. I showed up at 9:30am as required and by 11 there was still some issues. Mind you we have already moved out of our last house and is currently standing outside in the blistering cold that morning of Dec 15, 2015. Still, no big deal (we didnt mind waiting a little). A PNC staff member asked us to wait a little, perhaps grab some food and she will call when its all done. So, we took the whole family to get lunch and then at 12:45pm~ we receive a call from PNC stating it's all done and we could come get our keys! YAY, except when we got there, we were told that its all done on PNC's end and now we would have to wait a while longer until RIVERLAND title is done processing on their end. Fast forward to 2:30pm, we got a call from PNC saying its all done so we came back and lo and behold... a gentleman from RIVERLAND has our keys. Very nice... so now we would have to wait for him to return in order to get a set of keys for our home that we just paid for. Fast forward until around 4:30pm, we were told we had to drive over to riverland in order to get our keys. I have never seen such a unprofessional group of people. I do not wish this upon anyone so, save yourself the time and avoid this corporation at all cost. TL:DR - started moving at 7am, promised keys at 11am, didnt get keys until almost 5pm. If you ever need to financing for a home, find another company/institution/corporation for a loan.

My employer banks here so my payroll check comes from this bank. I have previously cashed a check…read morethere before. However Friday July 31st I was assisted by a gentleman. I explained I do not have an account with them but wanted to cash my payroll check. He was hesitant to assist. He looked the check over and asked what I do there. I told him. He then got a phone call on his mobile phone and almost answered it and even asked his co worker to finish my transaction. She refused as she was assisting someone herself. He then said I can do it. He mentioned his mother being in a nursing home and I explained I understand and would be concerned too if they were calling me. He then asked who signed the check. Then proceeds to call my employer to ask her if he can cash the check. The entire process took way too long and was an insult. He tried to ask who I bank with... HA! The audacity!!! As if I'd consider banking there after his ways! The other staff were nice just as my previous visit. However I will NOT be going back. I have since opened an account elsewhere!

IF YOU ARE PLANNING ON GETTING A LICENSE PLATE STICKER HERE, DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME!!!…read more Went to go get my sticker, and I had to pay a fee for not banking there- not that big of a deal and understandable. Took the first lady 15 minutes and she was not able to do my sticker, another lady took over and attempted. This lady was extremely rude and treated me like I was incompetent. I had gotten my sticker renewed last on November 30th 2020, and I was in the bank on December 26th 2021. The teller told me my sticker was past due the 30 days. I am thoroughly concerned about your employees basic math skills. She said she attempted to renew my sticker 5 times and said I had already renewed it. When I had told her I had not already renewed my sticker this year, she said "Okay. Is there a 21 or a 22 on the back of your car?". As if I do not know what a registration sticker looks like. When I went to the DMV December 29th, I was not charged a late fee. I am thoroughly disappointed that your bank attempted to charge me a late fee when there was not one due. I am concerned about the money you are milking from your customers.
