Charles was booked for 3 weeks out, whereas others were ready next day to cut my large Ash down. That told me something right away. He wasn't the lowest bid and far from most expensive, but what he and his crew did was simply professional. He called me evening before to confirm time , he shows up early (uncommon), and he shows up with a army. He had every piece of equipment and trucks you need to speed up the process of a tree removal . Charles showed up with a crew of 4 and as I watched them work in a tough spot in a corner of yard with (expensive deck, fence , neighbors tree, gazebo ,lights ), it was like they talked for few minutes and then it was on. Not one piece dropped as he carved away at a huge Ash and his crew systematically relayed the huge pieces to the ground. Best part was when they knocked it out , they didn't leave hardly anything on the ground while cleaning up. What I thought was cool is , while he was doing my tree , he took care of a elderly lady next door who had a overgrown lemon tree and trimmed that baby up for nothing! The entire crew was legit , no sketchyness whatsoever, he had probably $300,000 parked out front and I paid no where near what the brand name company's charge . Charles and his crew are unbelievable, I cannot recommend them enough!!! If you have tree trimming that needs to be done, you'd be crazy to go anywhere else. We had used their services a few years back and swore when the time came we'd use them again. Man am I happy we did! The pricing is beyond fair, and they have done a great job both times. They show up early, get right to work, and do one helluva job! Not only do the tree's look great after, and flourish due to (in our case) past due trims, but I'm amazed at how well they clean up. Our main tree is a huge Eucalyptus, and is a pain. It's in the backyard furthest from the entry, close to the house, deck, and fence line. They lower each branch and hand carry them out to the front. Leaves obviously will fall in this process, and since they have to walk by the pool a lot will fall in there. But Charles and his team take the time to blow, rake, and collect all debris, even out of the pool! The only downside is that we only need their service every couple of years. Wish there were more companies like this out there. read more

Charles & his team removed a Monster tree from my client's yard. The tree was 60+ years old and was much too close to the house. Charles gave an excellent price to remove this tree, trim several others and remove 2 small dead trees. All work was done quickly & the yard was spotless when they were done. That monster tree did hold an unwelcome surprise. It seems a huge colony of red ants were living inside and the trunk was almost hollow. The early bird gets the worm! A portion of a tree in my backyard fell on my neighbor's car the night before Memorial Day. I called a bunch of tree services early the next morning and Charles answered his phone first. He was prompt and professional and didn't try to gouge me. He made quick work of the 35-40ft. tree with enough time for us to still commemorate the holiday. And he left my yard cleaner than when he found it. So glad Charles answered his phone first because I don't know if I would have gotten better service from any of those other places. Only drawback was he didn't take credit card. (He might want to get a free square reader https://squareup.com/) But it didn't effect us, so no stars deducted for that. Also, I definitely recommend the stump removal option. It costs extra, but it'll look as if the tree was never there. And now I can even use the space for landscaping or light gardening. Highly recommend Charles and his crew!! He gave us a very fair price and did excellent work. We had a large, ugly palm right up near our house and right where the sprinkler mains are for the whole yard. We were concerned that our new solar panels near the tree would be damaged during removal of the tree and it was not an issue at all. A couple weeks following the removal of the tree our lawn started dying in a couple places and we found a pipe broken under where they had ground the stump. We called Charles and kind of thought we wouldn't hear back from him. Most companies now cut their losses and don't take responsibility. Wow, were we wrong. Charles showed up and made it all right again - and it was a real pain in the rear to fix. It's very difficult to find people with excellent work ethic but Charles is really an exception. Hire him. We had an old stump from a Liquid Amber in our backyard that was pushing on our fence post that was needing to be replaced. I called Charles Schwab for a quote and he made it out the next day, to Escalon! Quoted us very reasonably and arrived today(4 days later) to remove it, even arrived early. We are putting in a pool and once we started removing grass on Monday we ran into some horrible large roots from that liquid Amber, so when he arrived the project had doubled.. We asked for another quote because we realized it would be much more work, again reasonably quoted us and got to work! He is very professional and cleaned up leaving no mess. He and his crew removed 2 messy fruit trees, topped our grapefruit tree , removed the overhanging branches from the roof on 2 trees, and cleaned up the dead branches on the palm tree in under 2 hours!! They raked, swept and cleaned up all the debris so well you couldn't even tell they were here. All this and the price was VERY reasonable!
