Because we were back in Charleston again for Christmas this year, we decided to do it again with the same group, expecting a similar experience. Unfortunately, this year was a major disappointment. Our two guides seemed uninterested and disengaged, which really affected the overall experience. There was very little singing or holiday spirit, and it felt like they were just going through the motions. Given the cost, it felt like a waste of money. We will definitely return to Charleston in the future, but we would not do this sleigh ride again.

There is also an informative video. The museum is fairly small and very easy to navigate and it features several galleries that focus on different periods of South Carolina history. There is a predominant focus on Charleston history as well. There is a Gift Shop that features South Carolina and Charleston themed products . If the museum inspires you, you also have the option to become a member of the South Carolina historical Society. It's inexpensive and it gives you unlimited access to the museum and other historical sites.
