We walked in and the place was completely empty, the lady greeted us and quickly took our orders. I ordered a ham, egg and cheese sandwich and asked for the yolk to be slightly runny with a café con leche. My mom a medianoche (Cuban on sweet bread made in house) / My aunt ordered a pastrami. Each came to the table a few minutes later, pipping hot even though a line had formed immediately after sitting down. I knew that was a good sign. All three were each so flavorful, hot, fresh and filling. My sandwich was so satisfying with it's cheesy-egg goodness that the girls wanted to come back the following day! Fast forward to the next day, we all ordered the same ham, egg and cheese sandwich but my aunt wanted it on pan sobao (sweet bread) and both versions were delicious!
