Fresh, satisfying lunch with great flavors…read more Stopped by Whisk Gourmet Food & Catering and ordered the turkey & dried cranberry salad and the Whisk Gourmet Burrito. The turkey and dried cranberry salad was fresh, flavorful, and well-balanced. The sweetness from the dried cranberries paired nicely with the savory turkey, and the ingredients tasted crisp and high quality. It felt light yet filling, making it a great lunch option. The Whisk Gourmet Burrito was hearty and satisfying, packed with flavorful ingredients and generous portions. Everything worked well together, and it was the kind of meal that kept me full for hours without feeling overly heavy. Service was friendly and welcoming, and the staff made the ordering process easy and pleasant. The vibe is cozy, casual, and neighborhood-friendly. It has the feel of a local favorite where people come for fresh comfort food and relaxed dining. Overall, a really enjoyable lunch spot with fresh ingredients, generous portions, and a welcoming atmosphere. I'd come back to try more of the menu.

And if you happen to stay out all night you can come back for brunch from Deli Lane next door. I heard this piece of party history is soon to close and I will be sad to see it go. Hopefully something equally festive will pop up in it's place and not a sanitized corporate brand devoid of character.

It is possible that the vibe of Sunset Tavern will not change much, but as we all know, it may never be the same. Sunset Tavern is one of those few places where it is just as good to go in the morning for a Bloody Mary and enjoying the scenery of South Miami, as it is to go at night, drink a beer and watch a live band perform. The ambiance is casual, the service is up to the challenge, and the price is reasonable. As the matter of, I went to Sunset Tavern last night. The name of the band playing was Electric Mayhem and they were absolutely outstanding. The energy and the chemistry between the band members, the song selection, and the talent of the musicians was off the chat. I have never been so mesmerized by a local band before, and I plan to go back and see them again. They perform in Sunset Tavern the first Saturday of every month. But as I was watching the band, I took a look around. So many memories within those walls. I will miss this location.

Overall, Recoveco was an amazing experience!…read more The service was great! The staff took the time to explain exactly what was in each dish, which really helped me appreciate the complex flavors. The food was absolutely incredible. We (2 people) ordered the Papaya Salad, Chicken Liver Mousse, Pork, and Flounder. I definitely recommend the Papaya Salad and the Pork (very juicy)! The ambiance inside the restaurant is excellent, too. I sat near a window framed by a beautiful tree outside, which created such a great, cozy vibe. Highly recommend for date night!

This lady was not only unfriendly and pompous, she was actually rude. Will never return just due to her. But let's talk about the food. It was delicious! We tried the chilled pink shrimp, Berkshire pork collar and the Golden Chicken. All were very tasty & flavorful, with the perfect combination of sweet and savory. The Arroz con leche dessert was amazing! Our friends had the grouper appetizer and loved it. That said, not sure why the chicken at $60 was almost twice as much as the pork! The rice that came with the chicken was dry and tasteless, so I didn't eat that... And, the $24 glass of wine, with a very small pour, was disappointing. If they get rid of the sommelier, I might return for the food!

Brandon truly stands out--he's incredibly attentive and seems to have a handle on everything and everyone, making the whole experience seamless. At one point, I saw him place, one foot at a time, on a chair to tie his dirty sneakers and not caring to wipe the chair down when done. He did, however, break a smile towards the end of our meal, just around the time our bill came. Ambiance - Yes, it has a pub feel but there's nothing stellar about it. I know it's a neighborhood staple, but the pizza place next door had all its customers. The place was half empty when we were there. Food - My husband told us about the Tuesday deal: $8 hamburger with fries so we went to try it out. * Hamburger - lacked seasoning and flavor. Bread was hard and everything is, thereafter, à la carte for $.75 or $1 so it's actually $8 plus. * Fries - salty * Caesar salad - salty * House wine - $8 for what seemed like a 6oz pour. Overall, this place was a pricey disappointment; but then again, I'm not at an age that dines solely on crafted beers, thus, will notice the poor service and food.

I was shocked by how extensive their Miami Spice menu was! The appetizers were good but I think they need some major work on their caesar salad like it was honestly very sad! The carpaccio was delicious and good to share. I ordered the meatloaf as my entree and wow it was the best I've ever had! The pork chop was HUGE and so well cooked. The NY strip was delicious and smothered with sauce and onions. The soufflés were good with my favorite being the chocolate. Other than the waiter being a little awkward and continuously calling it "jimlet" lol it was a great experience and I will be back.
