Then you start looking and the place is as organized as any library. The real problem is they have too many books. Good luck making a decision! I like reading books on sports (well written ones), historical biographies, political non-fiction and American literature. They have it all. What they don't have, they will find. The staff is always very helpful. And everything is reasonably priced. On your first trip, just go in and look around and you'll find books you didn't even know you wanted. If you're not likely to be back for a while, bring a list of books you're interested in to save time.

As we wandered up the main strip we were mostly looking at places we'd want to come back to for some deeper dives and this bookstore was one of them. After going to the museum then next day we stopped back in and I left with a couple of vintage cards and two great books. The guy let me haggle on the cards and gave us a discount on the books. If I ever get back up to Cooperstown I hope this place is still around. Great selection, pretty well organized, good prices and the guys working both times we stopped in were great.

The selection of clothes are reasonably priced from $20-$100 and there are many selections of gifts if you want a unique present for a friend. I love that many of the clothes can be for work and for play- I ended up getting two blazers and a pair of luscious suede winter pants. They also have a Bare Minerals collection with a beautiful display of skin care and foundations and a display of jewelry which has been curated with high-quality designs. The Riverwood DOES NOT PAY THE ARTISTS who's products they profit off of…read more We're a small, artist-run company called Cactus Club Paper Goods who create stickers and greeting cards of animals and plants we paint. At the beginning of 2022, Riverwood placed an order with us at a trade show under a net30 agreement (meaning they had 30 days to pay us for the wholesale products they bought). They took a receipt with our terms and conditions. It has now been over a year and we still haven't received payment. We have emailed, called, left voicemails, and used their live chat function on their website for over a year and were completely stone-walled. Last week, we finally got a response... They said they sold our products and didn't communicate or pay us because NYC has seized their assets. We felt bad for their situation so we offered a couple solutions to help them out, including waiving all their late fees. They told us to: "F*** off and get a life". And: "Great I'm done talking you you. Feel free to blast me out there and try to destroy another humans life. We will do the same to you." We don't understand the lack of professionalism and we still need them to pay us. They had every opportunity to return any products for a full refund (we'd even pay the shipping). We invested our time and money to create these products and we need stores to pay us to stay in business. We've been as kind as possible and have given them over a year to work with us, but they decided to be unprofessional and vulgar. Our company is only two people and this is our only livelihood. If they feel they can take advantage of us, I can't imagine who else they feel justified in taking advantage of. When you purchase a product at Riverwood, the artists and companies that made that product are seeing no money and Riverwood is keeping 100% of the profit. This is unethical and very wrong.

We did not purchase that game but we did find a bunch of other cool dice to swap out for the plain, boring dice that come with Yahtzee. Everything should have a touch of the original, I think. My son selected a game called "Butts in Space", we have not played it yet but it looks like a hilarious winner. They have toys for people of all ages, something for everyone for sure.

Lots of little nooks and crannies to wander through, tight spaces if the place is crowded, but just take your time and admire the artful product displays. Everything from handblown glass to funny socks to baby gifts and home decor. When I brought the framed art up to the cash register, the friendly staff took the extra effort to find its original packaging to wrap it up for me. Very much appreciated.

The female working the register asked if my son was 21 and I replied no, but he wasn't buying anything anyway. From that point on she was more concerned with him than helping me. Is it against the law for someone under 21 to be in a cigar shop with a parent? If so, then I know a bunch of people who have broken the law all across the country. Should have left without buying anything, but the next closest cigar shop is quite a ways away. Bad experience from a customer service point of view. The cigars we got were pretty good however.
