If so, have I got the place for you! While myself and the majority of my bridesmaids are located in Texas, several of my girls are out of state - including my Maid of Honor in NY. My maid of honor opted to buy her gown from Apropos in Albany for convenience. The gown was ordered as the same time as the rest of the bridesmaids' in August. However, come mid-October all of my bridesmaids EXCEPT the one from Apropos are delivered and my maid of honor's dress is nowhere to be found. After advising her to call and check on the dress, my maid of honor was given the run around. Calls were either not taken, messages not returned, and Apropos was all around impossible to get a hold of. Finally, I managed to get a hold of the shop - probably because they didn't have my number on file. I was advised by a woman that she would contact the purchaser (the owner) and call back. Yeah, no call back. My maid of honor got in touch and found out the dress wasn't due to ship until December 1. WHAT? In what world does a dress ordered in August for a December 18 wedding not ship until the 1st? I called right away and got in touch with the owner who proceeded to berate me and raise her voice to me. She insisted that I just didn't understand how bridesmaids dress ordering worked, that these weren't off the rack dresses - they were made to order. As if with 7 total bridesmaids and my own gown I had no idea that these weren't stock items. When I clarified that yes, I understood the dress needed to be made but that my other girls had ordered at the same time and all received their gowns from the local shop in Texas she became defensive. She insisted that because of my maid of honor's size the dress had to be further customized. Never mind that my bridesmaids are all shapes and sizes and a similarly sized bridesmaid had received her order. When I told her, given the negative reviews on Yelp, Google, and The Knot that I was not entirely trusting when she said 'It'll be here!' she told me that the other frantic brides and bridesmaids who left reviews were 'crazy'. I'm not kidding. I'm almost certain that my maid of honor's dress was not even ordered until she called to check on it. Don't go here. Your wedding should not have this amount of stress and no one deserves to be treated so rudely.

Chelsea greeted my mom and me warmly, guided us to our private room where we sat on cozy furniture next to strong air conditioning surrounded by mirrors. Chelsea was so kind and calm as she guided me through this overwhelming process. She confirmed some questions I had filled out on the questionnaire, and then asked me more detailed questions about my vision for my dress. I told her what I thought I wanted to try, which we quickly realized wasn't for me. She brought me some strapless gowns which I didn't think I would like and it turned out I LOVED. We tried on several options trying to find *the one*. The final dress was pretty close to perfection. Even Chelsea shed a tear which was so heartwarming and really made me feel special. There was no pushy sales. In fact, she wrote down my top 3 favorites so I could look at them online, think about what I tried on, and really make a sound decision. Wedding gowns are a big financial decision so I'm grateful we weren't swayed one way or the other. I left that appointment feeling SO amazing. I did have 2 other confirmed bridal appointments that I had to put deposits in for, and I wanted to be 100% sure about my decision. The other appointments left me feeling nowhere near as confident as I was with Lily's. However, I did find *THE dress* at another boutique. We contacted Lily's to see if they had this exact gown, and amazingly they did! I knew without a doubt we wanted to purchase here. I live 4 hours away in Boston which complicates things a bit as I had to come home from my long weekend trip before I could come back. Thankfully my measurements were taken at my first appointment, and Laura (the owner) was wonderful in assisting me to confidently purchase the correct size over the phone. He was able to work with the multiple layers of tulle underneath my dress as well as the intricate bead and lacework, which was very impressive. When this was brought up, the tailor's answer was essentially - it doesnt matter, just dont take off your suit jacket. The pants were a good length but two sizes too small to the point you could barely get the buttons together without potentially popping them.
