It was simple this time, from point A to B, then C. They pick up a new couch for me. I had one of the same workers from last time. He was still professional and a hard worker. I had one mirror hiccup that something got put on the truck that wasn't going with me, but that was my fault for not giving better instructions. They offer to put together my new couch, but I had that covered. I need them to move the heavy stuff. They did another outstanding job, and I will recommend them to anyone. Side Note: Photograph all your things before and after. If something gets broken, you need proof. They do offer free insurance, but they need documentation.

During this move, their crew improperly loaded my items, including stacking a commercial Maytag stainless steel washer and dryer on top of each other--even though they are not stackable. As a result, both units were dented, scratched, and significantly damaged. These appliances were nearly new (used less than a dozen times) and valued at approximately $1,400 each. The bigger issue is how they handled it afterward. When I contacted the owner (Nate), he became immediately defensive and claimed that we did not provide any moving blankets. This is completely false. * I have photo evidence clearly showing a large number of blankets available * We also had cushions, pillows, and rugs available for protection * There was more than enough space in the truck to load these items safely without stacking them * I have multiple witnesses present during the move who can confirm this Instead of taking responsibility, they chose to deny, deflect, and misrepresent the situation, despite clear evidence. This was not an unavoidable accident--this was negligent loading and improper handling, followed by false statements when confronted. I have made a good-faith effort to resolve this directly, but due to their refusal to take responsibility, I am now prepared to pursue formal action, including filing complaints with the appropriate consumer protection agencies and pursuing recovery through small claims court if necessary. If something goes wrong during your move, do not expect accountability.

I hesitated because I wouldn't be there to ensure things were properly packed, and many of the items were highly sentimental to me. The Zippy Shell rep assured me that these movers were professionals and that they would wrap and cushion everything for the cross-country drive. They only wrapped a handful of items, and just loosely and partially, with a single layer of paper. Nothing was cushioned at all. Zero plastic or bubble wrap or moving blankets. Everything was tossed carelessly into the pod as if it were a dumpster headed for the landfill. Unsurprisingly, everything arrived scratched, beat up, scuffed and dirty. They broke a cabinet, which completely collapsed en route. This crushed everything inside and scattered contents around the filthy floor, including the stereo which was somehow not wrapped. What kind of mover doesn't wrap a stereo for transport?? Everything had been in like-new condition prior to the move, or I wouldn't have paid to store it in a clean, climate-controlled storage unit for five years, additionally paying Zippy Shell $4,000 to have it shipped to me. I wouldn't recommend this company unless you're shipping old tires or anything that can't possibly be damaged. My money basically went to having my things destroyed. I've moved many times in my life and have never had such a devastating experience. Btw, they must be paying Yelp to hide their one-star reviews, of which there are HUNDREDS. As a Yelp Elite reviewer with mostly five-star reviews, I can attest that this was my honest experience. It is VERY DIFFICULT to earn a one-star review from me.

I moved half of my house on my own, leaving the large furniture for staging purposes. Since that was a large enough chore, I decided to hire movers to take care of the rest... some of which was going to a storage unit, and the rest going to the new house. The two gentlemen that helped showed up on time with equipment in hand, took the time to walk through and figure out the scope of the job and the best way to tackle it, and then proceeded to get it done. Even with a couple of complications (items that were seemingly larger than the doors they first came through!), they helped solve the problems and got everything loaded and moved to the two locations. And they were friendly and professional to boot. Got a receipt upon completion of the job. Would definitely use them again. read more

Words are trite to express how fantastic Charlie Ray's is!! It was serendipitous meeting Charlie when he came to help my rip off mover unload into a storage place. The moment I laid on Charlie I knew I would hire him for the second leg off my move. Which I did. I was moving for the second time in 8 months and my wife found these guys on the Albany Happening's site and gave them a call. Will and Kyle showed up at our house on time and ready to work. They clearly knew what they were doing and loaded our entire 3bd house in about 3.5 hours. I have never seen a U-Haul carry that much with no damage, it was impressive. Much to our surprise they were also willing to follow us to our new house in Eugene and unload us. We took them up on it, and the put all our stuff back into the right place with little direction. Helped my parents a couple times, they are kind and affordable and did much more than expected including help packing, unpacking, and setting up appliances etc. Even helped dismantle pack and transport the scary looking amateur mad scientist laboratory my dad enjoys mostly experimenting and brewing beer with lol. This company was recommended to me by a friend who used them 6 months ago. That recommendation was enough for me to hire them because I know my friend has high standards. I also would highly recommend using this company. They were up front about pricing. Accommodated my schedule. Arrived on time. Were SUPER helpful and friendly. Funny too! Charlie and his employees go above and beyond. My house wasn't very organized for our move from Oregon to Texas and the two amazing gentlemen came in looked at everything then got their game plan and started to tackle our house . They were extremely professional. I'm sad they are not here in Texas. Don't hesitate to use this company, they are safe and trust worthy . Nothing of mine got damaged, they were careful and thoughtful of where they put everything it wasn't just throw our stuff in a truck to be shipped and broken when it arrives. I was in a situation where I needed Immediate and dependable, yet affordable due to my situation . I called Charlie the owner. He resounded right away wiling to work with me in the sscedule I had and the money available, his 2 mover Will and Ricky were so kind, they passed no judgment just jumped in to start . I actually need them again within a week or so, same response , put me at ease, and just get my things out of the house. I have used these movers 3 times now and highly recommend them. They were very careful with my stuff. They were respectful to me and to each other. They worked hard, never complaining even when faced with heavy and difficult objects. They left their phones in the car so they weren't messing with them and I didn't have to listen to incessant beeping. They were wonderful! These guys were awesome! They loaded, moved, and unloaded all our stuff in less than 4 hours. When I called to get a price, it went to voicemail, but Charlie gave me a call back before I could even finish my message! They were able to come out the next day and loaded the truck so nice and neat, they fit everything. Eric and Tom had even brought moving blankets so our stuff didn't get damaged. You don't always get what you pay for, sometimes you get more. One of the cheapest movers in town. The guys showed up on time and did a great job! We had two Uhaul boxes full that needed to be unloaded and carried up to a 3rd story apartment. Second time he called 15 minutes before appointment and cancelled and rescheduled again the next day. Third time he did not show up and did not call back even after I called twice to find out what happened. So, third time is the charm and called another window cleaner who was prompt and even called right before the appointment to confirm he would be here on time. Very rude of Willamette Valley Window so why he has a 5 star rating is beyond me.

I normally purchase compost by the truck load 3-4 times a year for our orchard. Our normal supplier…read moredid not have the right material (they were honest and said it was low pH). I called Bark Place told them the situation. A week later it's finally delivered. Didn't receive any phone call to alert us they were coming (we requested). We were supposed to pay with a credit card, they marked us for a check (I never use checks!). When I called the main office, the man who answered the phone was grumpy about having to write a new ticket about the payment. Rather rude when it wasn't my fault. So when I finally got home that day I went into the the field to check the compost. It's not even compost! It was just raw mint waste they pulled from the field. Compost is well, composted. And it looked incredibly short too! We ordered 10 yards and it looks more like 7yds. Called the main office, left a message. Manager calls me back and basically says tough ... Order from them and you'll need to TRUST they are honest about the measurements. They have no scale nor any records to make sure you get the full paid for amount. I will never be ordering from here again.

We picked several, gave her two phone numbers, & dimensions for our kitchen & she said that the person who deals with countertops would call us Monday. Monday rolled around & no call. We gave it a couple of days and nothing. So while returning samples we checked out, my husband told someone there (he thinks it's the owner) that we were waiting for quartz sample prices. She seemed to know that, said our info was on the person's desk. After a full week past when we were told we would be called, we called again, left a message, no response, called again & now got ahold of the person. He told us he was waiting for fabricators to get back to him. Never called back. So after 2 full weeks we don't have basic square foot pricing on countertop material. We have been to 2 other installers who have lists available when you walk into the store. It's ridiculous to not get this basic info to a customer or call them when you say you are going to. We won't be going back.
