We've come to this restaurant several times before and the food has always been great. However, today I ordered a sandwich and it came with wilted lettuce, and fries that were grease soaked and limp. My companions fries were no better. It appears as if the oil wasn't hot enough. When I made mention of this to the server, she had the cook come out and explain to me that that was the best lettuce he had and that the fries were just an addition to the sandwich. So I should disregard part of my meal? That means I paid $14 for a wilted sandwich that sat on the pass too long. We've always enjoyed going to Charlie's up until now, but the poorly handled food and the way our concerns were handled have turned us off. I encourage the owner to read this and take advantage of what I'm saying. This comes from someone who's been in wait service and a companion who is a cook. read more

When we entered I thought it was more like a gentleman's club than a bar. That was before we turned the corner. A pool table is in the doorway and to the right are two bars separated by a wall. Gambling machines are in the back and a stage for live music is further down. It was 8:40 p.m. on a Monday. So the quiet allowed two affordable drinks (a house cocktail around $8, an $6 Arnold Palmer,) and a nice conversation with our bartender. The 16 inch pizza had a fantastic cheese pull, thin crust, and was filling. If it had not been 2 hours from home I'd like to come back sometime during its busier hours to mingle and listen to music. As for all the bar's other reviews, it's expected that a social location like this would have a larger focus on its drinks than its food. I can only speak for the pizza though read more

Okay seriously there is literally no reason our food was so good... we've ate out all week being on a work trip and Charlie's easily came into the top 2 meals that we had. Amazing job to the cooks, and the lady on the phone was also very very polite. read more

This is a perfect example of what should be a 3.5 star review. We went a little early for dinner on Friday. It is a large place and couple people were in each area so it felt empty. There was a man playing music and it was a little loud for 5:30. We ordered a chicken bacon ranch sandwich with fries, wings, and onion rings. The sandwich was great just a little messy! Visited on July 31st and had a wrap with fries. Food was ok but when I paid the"cash price" I was shorted $.22. Doesn't seem like a lot but no explanation for the missing money. Is this common practice in the restaurant industry? This also happened at another local restaurant. I don't eat out a lot but I'm sure if I was short $.22 and didn't pay they would have said something. read more

What a great find. I would have given a 5 but the service was good but she kept disappearing for long periods of time. I sat at the bar on the way home from a hunting trip and and I ordered a cheesesteak. I got the 12 inch! Mistake!!!! It was huge! It filled the plate and was loaded with meat. The fries were good as well. Great place. I just wish the bartender would have been more attentive. read more

super disappointed. we've been coming here for YEARS one of our favorite places. this evening we came in and they took off almost everything from the menu, all of our things we ordered EVERY TIME we came here... we then had to order something different, a burger and chicken fingers. it took over an hour to get our food, my food came out 15 minutes before my boyfriends. i will never eat without someone that doesn't have their food. leading to mine being cold by the time his food came out. our waitress was very sorry that the kitchen took too long but that was it. we unfortunately will not be back after coming here religiously for years. i'm very upset. read more

I came to this bar with a friend for dinner and drinks and the service was very bad. They forgot to make my burger and after 90 minutes we asked for the bill. It took another half hour to get the bill and then another half hour to take our credit cards. The servers were also not friendly throughout the night. I will not be returning. read more

I'll never go back to this place. Went in during the week one evening for some beer. Not many people in there but apparently one of the drinkers was the owner. A guy on crutches was helped to the restroom by his buddy and when they came out the buddy just casually mentioned to the owner that his friend almost fell in the restroom because the crutch slipped in the water. Wasn't trying to do anything other than let him know. Owner got pissed and told the bar tender to cut them off. The owner should've been cut off. He was slurring and staggering and yelling at these kids. Another gentleman at the end of the bar spoke up in the kids defense and asked if the owner had been in the restroom because there was in fact a puddle that he stepped over. Owner yells to cut him off to (customer had already paid and was just finishing his beer). That customer started laughing and told the owner he was already done. Owner got in this guys face and was threatening him and telling him he was going to kill him. A lady started filming the interaction and the owner turned his aggression to her yelling to stop recording and delete the video. She didn't stop so the owner grabbed her by the hair and started dragging her out of the bar. Owner went back to the other gentleman and got in his face again and told him to meet him out back in the alley. This customer was WAY bigger than the owner and was just laughing and telling the owner he wasn't going to fight him because he has a puddle in his restroom. His employees called the police on the owner and said this isn't the first time he has acted like this and that the bar used to be a busy place until he took over. Employees told the gentleman the owner was threatening not to go outside because the owner was going to sucker punch him in the back of the head right when he went out and that the owner wanted to do it outside because there were no cameras in the alley. It's a shame because the employees were great. I won't give any more money to someone who acts like that. read more
