Today was their fist day open for lunch. They are under new management and they had a brand new menu that started today. The food awesome. Everything was fresh and cooked to exact temperature. Located at Dolittle station, this bar/restaurant is an inviting event space. We sat on the patio with a view of the vintage trains. We had tacos and the mimosa sampler. The street tacos came with a side of rice that was a variety of grains - different and delicious. The mimosa sampler was fun and included fun flavors like dragon fruit. Our server was super sweet. This place is on our way to Scranton. We have a manufacturing plant in Scranton and do this drive across 80 a few times a year. This is one of our half way lunch spots. It's not too far off the highway, about a mile in the left. It's a lot bigger than it looks. They do have an ice cream place and putt putt place attached. So it's a complex. It looks like a decent bar. The Manager waited on us. We got some flavored lemonade. Not bad to start. I got the goat tacos with shrimp, it comes with an 8 grain rice blend that I was not too sure about but it was pretty good. Tacos were decent. Definitely worth the $12. My associates got a fish sandwich which he liked and a chicken Alfredo pasta which was enjoyed as well. Staff was nice. Service was a bit slow. But not horrible. Great place for dinner! Stopped here while traveling in the area. Started my dinner with the strawberry crush which is a gin-based cocktail. It was refreshing, tart, full of muddled berries. We shared the cheese curds, which are quite different from curds I've had before. It was breaded and fried... and delicious. My husband had French onion soup, which he absolutely loved. It was so full of cheese I had to help him! I had the beer battered haddock which was crispy outside and juicy and flaky inside. The mixed veggies and Boursin mashed potatoes were also excellent. I followed my strawberry crush with the blueberry version, and my husband had a chocolate lava cake for dessert. He ate every bite. The atmosphere is great.. axe throwing if you want. Our server was Alexandria and she was outstanding! She had excellent knowledge of the menu, and was fun and personable. Outdoor dining is available when the weather is warm. Stopped by after a work assignment to get take out. The people at the hospital where I had my assignment hyped this place up! We ordered and stopped to pick up our food. Nice restaurant, ax throwing is here as well. Eating our food on the way back we were pleasantly surprised by the portion size and pricing of each entree. I had the chicken and waffles with spiced bacon bits. This was one of the best interpretations of chicken and waffles that I ever had eaten. Portion was two large crispy and sweet waffles with two perfectly done crispy chicken breasts covered in maple syrup with the saltiness of the bacon (and spice as well). I could only eat 1/2 and saved the rest. Truly, this is a very good place in a smaller town! Wish I could have eaten in the restaurant and maybe thrown a few axes! read more

Traveling home looking for a place not far from I-80. Angry Goat popped up. No good IPA's even though I saw a bunch on a previous write-up. I got the tart cherry ale, it's very tar,t but if you like tart things like key lime pie, this will be ok. The other beer was the brown ale which was ok/good. The menu had a bunch of tasty choices. We went with the beer cheese crispy chicken mac and the chicken sandwich. The pasta was cooked perfectly. Sorry to say, that is where it ends. I didn't taste any beer in the beer cheese. I did taste a lot of honey. The chicken, I think, was a store bought chicken patty. It was done nice and crispy, I did enjoy that as much as I would one out of a frozen package of chicken patties. The chicken sandwich was the same. He said it looked like a McDonald's chicken sandwich. The onion rings were really good and they came with a tasty sauce. I suggest ordering something like wings or salad. I wanted to really like the food. Other note, as you come out of the bathroom, on a board above where the food is picked up is a sign for the servers that had UPSELL UPSELL UPSELL written on the top. Horrible service and subpar food lacking the basics of food service hygiene and safety. - Bartenders licking whip cream and chocolate sauce off their hands while making drinks. - Employees drinking. - Servers placing dirty dishes from one table on the same tray with another tables food. - Burger was unseasoned and tasteless. - "Cheesesteak" was unseasoned and the meat was gray. Only ate a couple of bites and left with an upset stomach. - Server dropped off food and never returned. 30 minutes later went to the the bar for a check and to report the lack of service and food quality. Bartender became rude and eye rolling as it was obvious she was "inconvenienced" by a customer. the location is great but service is poor and they are out of many things on the menu. There was no one at the front to seat us even though there was a sign saying thar we should wait to be seated. one person seemed to serving as bartender and serving Food to the patrons. They were out of many items on the menu including alcohol. They said that they had just finished the keg of a local craft beer that my husband wanted. After serving me 2 glasses Chardonnay, they were out of Chardonnay. I inquired about the lobster roll but they were out of that. My husband was served pasta with vodka sauce which was rather tasteless and the sauce was very sparce. One wonders if this place is going out of business due to the inventory and short staff. Reserved the "event" center for 20 people and was given a limited menu due to the amount of people in our group. Of the four main dishes we were told they were out of two of them. So you had the choice of steak or salmon. Three hours after ordering we finally got our food. The green beans were cold and freezer burnt. This could be the number 1 place in DuBois, but they need a little help to get organized. We have been here three times. It has a super cool and chic inside, two golf simulators, an ax throwing area, an indoor and outdoor bar, and a gorgeous outdoor area when the weather permits, but always having food is iffy. The first time we went there it was the second week, so I wanted to give it a little time before making a review. We went back for the second time Labor Day weekend, and when we walked in they said they were out of all food options...odd? We went for the third time the Wednesday after Christmas, and it was packed! We got a great table by the bar and had a great waitress...but they were out of 8 dinner and appetizers. We ordered the pretzel for an appetizer, and then ending up ordering two more appetizers because of the availability of the menu items. We picked the pulled pork sliders and wings. The wings were the best thing but oh so so so small. I would love to go back and update this review. read more

I was in town for the junior league eastern regionals and we heard good things about this place. To be completely honest I think this was just a bad time for us to go, one of the teams was having like a whole party in the back which made the kitchen a living hell. But whatever, we get seated inside. We start by ordering drinks. I order a mock tail axellent or something as Im not of legal age to drink plus I hate the taste of alcohol. My dad wanted to see another menu and waited to order, but we both ordered goat tacos with shrimp. A different waitress around 10 minutes later brought out my "mocktail". I took a sip and it tasted horrible( at least to me) though I didn't say anything because I thought I was just one of the ingredients I didn't like. But then, something weird happened. Our original waitress came to our table took my drink and said," that's not the right drink sorry". I then said to my dad that I thought they had given me the cocktail version which is called the same thing. I don't exactly know how this happened, I look nothing of age I'm a teenager. At this point we are both waiting for drinks, my dad hadn't even ordered one yet. Once he order his it took around 20 mins for the drinks to come out. I will say the kitchen had a ton of orders from that team so these waits were not exactly their fault. Anyways around another 20 minutes our food comes out.i look down and it looks good, but i notice one thing, in those shrimp tacos, the shrimps still had the tail on them. We asked the waitress about this and she said that's how it came usually. The poor girl was probably stressed so I get complaint aren't what she needs. We took the shrimp tails off and ate. The food was pretty great. But I was still curious if it was an actual cocktail or a different mocktail I didn't like. I asked" random question, what was the drink you brought out first?" And she said " it was just the same thing with something else in it." The cocktail is the exact same thing but it has a rum in it I think. Came to Angry Goat for late lunch with family and the only suggestion I have is the parking area could use an update. Entering and exiting the parking can be challenging when other vehicles are entering and exiting as well. The service was awesome. The onion rings were delicious as was the burger. The salmon and the fish and chip plates were tasty. The ambiance is very welcoming. After our meal we walked over to play putt-putt golf. We have been to the angry goat a couple of times, mostly for the live entertainment. Last weekend when we were there, my fiance and I ordered the same 2 drinks the entire time we were there. So I started off with a total of $12.00, but as we continued to go back to get more, the amount ranged from $13.00 to $15.00!! Yes, I was tiping! This is complete bullshit!! This was our first time there, recommended by a friend. We were there during the middle of the day, wanting to enjoy a new dining experience. After passing this place for as long as it's been open, seeing the many cars, it was obvious that it was a very popular place to go for drinks and dinner. (Also axe throwing, virtual golf, the many tv's tuned in to sports, etc!) Awesome atmosphere, I love the industrial vibe! It was very clean. We saw servers clean tables as soon as they were vacated, welcoming for the next guests. Loved the music choice, and the volume was perfect to still have a conversation yet hear the song. I want to preface the rest by saying that everyone who was being a server, greeter or bartender whom we encountered were very friendly, engaging and knowledgeable about the Angry Goat! In fact, I took our servers recommendation for a beer and really enjoyed it! That being said, our server was busy with other tables and things that it was hard to get her attention when we needed her. She didn't check on us after our meal was served to see if we were enjoying our dinner, or to even ask if we wanted another drink. The pizza crust was EXTREMELY dry and hard, it was almost inedible. The middle of the pizza tasted great, but the toppings were very uneven. One piece had four pieces of pepperoni, the one next to it only had one. I had to flag down a different server to ask to bring me something to dip my crust in to, to make it more edible. We got our bill and were over charged for something that was on the menu for $1.50 but was charged $2. Yes, I know that YOU are laughing at fifty cents, but fifty cents times how many people who DON'T say anything!!! Especially when you can't find anyone to tell?!?!? I really don't know how this place has 4 stars. I've been here several times since they have opened and the only consistency they have is being disappointing. If you come here expect long wait times despite many open tables, inattentive wait staff who will only come by every hour or so, mediocre at best food, and absolutely outrageous prices considering the quality of food and service. I really think most of the food just comes from the freezer. The pretzel appetizers are always stale and chip appetizers have to just be from Aldi or something. Maybe that's on me for ordering the wrong items but still... Who the heck is running this place ? It seems like the wait staff has no organized training on how to treat customers. If you're sat in the side patio or up in the event pavilion near the live music - consider yourself forgotten and just LEAVE. Don't order the margarita flights because you won't get the flavors you ordered and don't order double drinks because you'll get singles and the waitresses will argue with you on the matter. Please anytime you come here and pay - ask for the receipt. It almost feels like the wait staff pads their own wallets off of you if not. Truly the only positive aspects of this place are the outside seating areas - but they come with the huge down side of being forgotten! This place needs some serious work. Get the wait stuff on the same page and TRAIN THEM. Check in on your tables, if the customer says something doesn't seem right try to amend it without telling them straight up "no you're wrong", if it's busy - we can tell - but be courteous about it instead acting like the customers are a burden to you, and give the actual check not just that stupid handheld machine that has god knows what costs racked up on it to scam paying customers. No customer should enter an establishment and not even be acknowledged by the many workers walking back and forth before they even get asked if they want to be seated ? Yeah of course I want to be seated or else I wouldn't freaking be here! What's so hard about just saying "hello, we will be with you in a minute"? Perplexing. That's all I can say about this place.
