I have been to this salon several times to get my hair cut and each time I leave feeling completely fabulous! From the moment you walk into the salon you feel like a valued customer as all the staff are incredibly friendly. Each time I have been it has always been very busy, although I have always managed to get an appointment at the last minute which is a bonus. Getting my hair washed at Medusa is definitely my favourite aspect of the hairdressing experience. They lather your hair in the most delicious smelling shampoo and massage your head for a wee while which is so relaxing! My hairdresser was very friendly and understood exactly what it was I was after. The prices start at £32 for a ladies hair cut and blow dry which I first thought was a little bit expensive but having been and experienced the service, I found that it was very worth it. They do offer student discounts which start at 10%. Medusa also has a beauty salon in its hairdressing store and offers manicures and pedicures.

It looked great & I felt a million dollars. The do stayed up all day & all night & survived the ceilidh & disco dancing, obligitatory drunken stumbling in huge heels & I was sad to take it down before bed. This time I was feeling brave & in need of a change. "I want to chop it all off", I said. "How short?" she asked. "Well, I need your advice.." I said. And advise me she did. We discussed a few options. The pros & cons of each. My reasons for wanting to go short, my expectations of how to care for each style, how each would look as it grew out. I am delighted with my new style. One of the main reasons I picked this place is because they have a website with the prices outlined and some shots of previous work. They don't take card so it meant I knew how much I needed to bring with me before I left the house. They're a small salon but you're not on display for all the word to see so the place feels intimate and friendly. Ohh and also they do just the best coffee. I really do recommend them to anyone who's in Galashiels and nearby.
