They go through what it is you have in mind and guide you to what will suit you, colours, styles etc. Prices may seem high but it is not the place for a short back and sides. You are offered refreshments and are given advice on aftercare ie which shampoos, conditioners to use, ho to blow dry your hair correctly.

However there is one 'stylist' if she could even call herself that called Rosie. Unfortunately her name does not match her personality or bad attitude. I love kay and am not the type of person to give bad reviews but this woman Rosie really let's McIntyres down. I am the 4th person I know of that thinks this and has found alternative salons. My best friend also had a bad experience with Rosie. It was near the end of the day and her hair was not finished she was one of the last customers to leave and Rosie was standing at the main entrance and as my friend walked out Rosie said to her we do have other things to do you know. Why her hair taking longer than planned was my friends fault I don't know but she had just paid over £350 and to be spoken to like that isn't on in my opinion. I have also had Rosie do my hair she washed it with freezing water cut it terrible and had an attitude like she THOUGHT she was better than everyone else and it was some kind of favour she was doing for me by doing my hair huffing puffing and sighing the whole way through. I would be here all day if I had to write every person that has told me of the experience they have had with this vile persons bad attitude and styling. She definitely let's McIntyres down.

I have been to this salon several times to get my hair cut and each time I leave feeling completely fabulous! From the moment you walk into the salon you feel like a valued customer as all the staff are incredibly friendly. Each time I have been it has always been very busy, although I have always managed to get an appointment at the last minute which is a bonus. Getting my hair washed at Medusa is definitely my favourite aspect of the hairdressing experience. They lather your hair in the most delicious smelling shampoo and massage your head for a wee while which is so relaxing! My hairdresser was very friendly and understood exactly what it was I was after. The prices start at £32 for a ladies hair cut and blow dry which I first thought was a little bit expensive but having been and experienced the service, I found that it was very worth it. They do offer student discounts which start at 10%. Medusa also has a beauty salon in its hairdressing store and offers manicures and pedicures.
