He nodded to a young woman co-worker who asked what we had in mind. "We're looking for local-made whiskey" (and quickly caught myself, and said) -- "oops, sorry we're in Kentucky, home of American bourbon, everything is local!" She kindly said, "I think I know what you want," and took us to Weller, which she said hey had just gotten a small supply in and said it will disappear quickly. She also liked Bulleit and 1792 as being smooth. I told her we wanted it to be smooth enough to swallow and that once it got beyond our throats it couple rip us apart. Super helpful. They were even nice enough to put our purchases in a "pretty bag" as she called it -- a light-weight canvas bag with bottle dividers.
