Not a bad little dive bar in good 'ole Albion!! In all transparency we set out to try out a new pizza place in the area but couldn't find it, so we decided to go here instead for a burger. Food was good, prices great, though the service could've definitely been better. Waitress had the entire bar to tend to (not as bad as it sounds) but lacked in the multitasking and follow up experience. All in all a solid 3, hopefully next visit will net better service so I can show the food with a better rating that it definitely deserves. read more

We stopped at Charlie's as a nostalgic return for my husband's class reunion. It was just as he'd remembered- nothing fancy: beer & pizza. We had a great group of alum join us & partake in this blast from the past. Pizza is decent, basic and typical beer. Great, friendly little place. The waitress took good care of us. We'd definitely stop back on a return trip. read more

I grew up in Albion and throughout the seventies and up to today still my favorite pizzas. Great family owned bar/restaurant. In town there are camps favoring one location or another, but they are good also, Charlie's is just my personal favorite. I live in Detroit area now and can't find his pizza up here, so when ever I get back into town my family and I am either dining in or bringing Charlie's home with us. I ended up here by pure chance and ordered a medium pizza. If you're a fan of pre-made crust with bland pepperoni, cheese, and sausage, then by all means stop by!! Yummy! Oh, and be sure to sit in the booths that are falling apart featuring seats that sag in the middle. read more

Charlie's has good pizza, subs, and sour cream chive fries! I give 5 stars for the food, the service is hit or miss... It's a bar atmosphere, what do u expect, so I give 4 stars for service. I would on the other hand have to give one suggestion, turn on some lights and scrub that place down!! The food is great though, and I still enjoy going down with the family. read more

Charlie's is a great old time bar. The staff is extremely friendly. The menu has a great selection of sandwiches. I think Charlie's could be a nice part of Albion's past that continues into the new look downtown with the brick laid Superior street, Marriott, and brewery. read more

This is one of the greatest Pizza places in Albion. When I worked for Joe and Lyman, alumni from Albion College stopped in after years of being gone, just to have a Charlie's pizza. Great food, soups etc. And always try their Crazy Crust. read more

Charlie's is one of two bars in Albion's central business district, and it's been there many years a block from the other one, but Charlie doesn't own it. Joe bought it from Charlie many years ago, and Joe's wife and one of his daughters often work there cooking and tending bar, and what I enjoy most there is that they treat every customer as an old friend who, because of those years of friendship, accepts them as they are. Best food for your buck in Albion. Soups are homemade and sandwiches are fresh and tasty.

I'm a traveling chef for Nascar and it's always great to find a place to eat close the the hotel we are staying . Charlie's is that place 100 feet from the Marriott great prices .Kimmi our server was top notch and a friendly conversation with the owner as we exited was why I give them this 5 star rating.
