"The Islamorada" & a blue raspberry and cotton candy flavor shaved ice.
Ali P.

We moved to the upper keys about 3 months ago and found this place. We absolutely LOVE coming here for a sweet treat! We try to come once a week and whenever we have family visiting us we bring them here. I've had their "strawberry shortcake" shaved ice and an iced coffee which were also delicious. Charli's Shaved Ice is an 11/10. The shaved ice is soft and smooth. We love it

Charli's is a perfect refresher stop while driving the Keys! Oh, and it's also located at Robbie's, Islamorada's bustling mini village where you can feed tarpons and many other things. So, you can get your yummy shaved ice and then walk around and explore all that's nearby. I got the "Islamorada" special and it was a gelati, which is half shaved ice and half ice cream, it also had sweetened condensed milk on top and oh my was it delicious. Charli's is set up in a super cute airstream camper and there's plenty of outdoor seating nearby. If you need a break from the car and want a sweet treat, this is a great spot!

Menu and view of the cute bus!

Yummy ice cream and shaved ice, and incredible customer service! It was a hot December day and Robbie's and Charli's Shave Ice was the perfect place to get a snack! Large menu, multiple sizes, fast service (especially when you have tons of people and only one person behind the bus). We have members in our party with celiac and when asked if anything was gluten free, for celiac, they answered and even offered to show us the tubs of ice cream and flavor bottles! There was a mix up on our end and when I reached out later, the owners were incredibly helpful and understanding. This is definitely a small business you should support! The owners are great, service is fast, prices are decent, location is great, retro bus is fun, and snacks are yummy! This will be on our list for when we come back to the keys! Also make sure to get the key like pie ice cream!

Super cute food truck outside Robbie's. After feeding the Tarpon and nurse sharks we were refreshed with shave ice! They have coffee and shave ice/ice cream options. Very efficient and nice seating area out of the sun nearby. Definitely recommend!

What a fun little dessert food truck! Swing by here if you are leaving Robbie's or are driving to Key West and in need of a nice cold snack! My friend and I stopped bug here to try out their Frozen Key Lime Bars. They did not disappoint! A nice frozen treat, these are definitely my favorite of the Key lime snacks we have sampled since being here! There are other options with shaved ice and others to choose from. Come enjoy a nice local fare!

Strawberry and coconut with condensed milk

After craving shaved ice for the longest time, I found this cute little spot. They're in an area with multiple shops/restaurants and it's very lively which I personally love. I took some friends with me to try it and we all got different flavors but I stuck with the classic like the strawberry with coconut and of course I added condensed milk. Just loved everything about this, their airstream, the girl that serviced us and the actual shaved ice was delicious. So of course I'm coming back next time I'm in town!

Mango Cherry with Vanilla.

After exploring Theater of the Sea this was a great stop. The flavors were great! (Not that sickened sweet carnival syrup). I had a 1/2 mango 1/2 cherry with vanilla. The chairs outside and the shade made it an enjoyable stop

This is some of the best shaved ice I had so far... (and I have tried the world famous ones in Hawaii and Kauai). The ice is very smooth. I would recommend the Islamorado. It's just the right amount of sweetness and very refreshing on a hot summer day.

It was tasty, but they use crushed ice - like a Snowie - not shaved ice. And accessing the place is crazy.

There are tons of vendors, plenty of produce, food trucks, fresh juices, games and rides for kids, lots of parking, and enough things to see that you can easily spend a few hours just wandering around. My favorite part, and honestly the main reason I keep coming back, is La Fontana Verde. If you love herbs, teas, tinctures, and natural wellness, do yourself a favor and stop in. The owners are incredibly kind, patient, and knowledgeable. My family and I always end up asking a million questions, and they never make us feel rushed. They genuinely care and are always willing to share their knowledge. It's become our go-to herb shop. The produce selection at the market is huge, and it's actually kind of fun comparing prices between vendors. My only wish is that there were more certified organic fruits and vegetables available. If organic produce is your top priority, that may be a downside. But if you're looking for seasonal fruits, including seeded watermelons (yes, fruit is supposed to have seeds!), you'll find plenty of options. Another bonus is that parts of the market are covered, so even if Florida decides to randomly rain on your plans, you can still enjoy walking around. Overall, Redland Market Village is a South Florida staple. Come for the produce, stay for the Seeded fruit, and definitely don't leave without stopping by La Fontana Verde.

They have the best shaved ice that I have ever had! And both times we came to Key West, we went and tracked them down! Well, they shut down the storefront and are now in a food truck located on the beach, but they haven't been able to set up in their normal location bc the beach is a mess right now. So when we came to Key West this week, I knew what I wanted, but we have not been able to find them. So I found their phone number and I called them and she actually came to us! And it was the most incredible shaved ice experience yet again! They have the best customer service if you call them and they come to you! They definitely did not have to do that and I just would've had to live without it this trip. Thank you so much for making my Shaved Ice dream come true and for coming to us!! You have the best customer service and we will definitely call you every time we come to Key West!

They custom created an ice cream my gluten free kids could have and loved! We don't have a peanut allergy, but they also had a dedicated place for that as well. It also has a super fun decor inside. I highly recommend this place! Don't miss it.

We ended up here on NYE for a quickie bite before heading to Fairchild's Night Garden. The vibe is kitschy and fun and the menu hits the sweet spot for Japonophiles with a curated assortment of faves from takoyaki to tonkotsu and even onigiri. On this night we wanted to keep it light so we started with the Japanese pickles which were a vibrant and crisp mix of veggies. Then a miso soup with fried rolled tofu sheets and lots of fresh green onions. We can never pass up his and hers unagi nigiri, and these were perfection: warm, sweet, and buttery on the tongue. Then it was time for makimono. Sushi in Japan tends to be simpler with a focus on expertly cut fresh fish, but at Umaimon they depart from the classics to play to the American palate with ingredients like cream cheese and mango. Now these are not the most creative offerings you'll find in the 305, but they do offer solid choices done well. He had the Twin Dragon and I couldn't pass on the Sugar Daddy. Now, is this the best Japanese/sushi place you're going to find in Miami? Probably not. But is it the most kawaii? Quite possibly. If you too have fallen in love with Japan but can't afford another plane ticket, Umaimon comes in clutch delivering faves in an unassuming spot.
