I've always seen the ice cream outside driving by so I decided to stop by and I'm glad I did. It was a great experience! We got 2 milkshakes and nachos. They have a variety of things to choose from. Ice cream, milkshakes, frozen drinks, juices food etc. They let you pick out your flavor of ice cream and that's how they create your milkshakes. Only take away that I have is I would request them to add additional flavor in the milkshakes. I got a caramel flavor and my daughter got cookies and cream. after adding milk it took some of that flavor away so some additional caramel or Oreos would've been perfect. The menu is huge; there's a lot of ice creams, paletas, agua frescas, and other snacks you can order. My favorite is the bionico de fresa which consists of sliced strawberries and condensed milk with strawberry and cream ice cream and it's so good. I get it to share every time. I also really like the elote en vaso; they add butter, mayo and cheese, and then you can add toppings like lime juice, jalapeños, etc. at the topping bar. I went for the Trio waffle bowl, had this ice cream with "besos" or "angel" in the name, mamey ice cream, and this other ice cream that I do not remember the name of...I think it might have been passionfruit? BUT WOW, the ice cream was DELICIOUS!!! I ate the whole thing and the flavors were amazing--there were different textures, crunches, sweet, sour, and awesome flavors. The fresh juices that they have are really great I recommend the coconut flavor it's my favorite. First of all, it's actually located on 26841 South Dixie Highway and can be seen from the street because it's very well lit. Been wanting to come here forever, and after eating Mexican food decided to come here finally. A very large selection of delicious Mexican paletas at $2.50 each. When you walk in, you will likely be amazed by the variety they offer, you want to try everything, and you may want to just order something straight away, but take a deep breath, and walk around first. There are three sections: on the right are the ice pops, with more flavors than you can imagine, and many interesting ones, like mango with chili, pumpkin, elote, tequila, cucumber. On the left is ice cream, again with some flavors you won't see in your average ice cream store. In the center, you can order juices, as well as chicarron, nachos, corn in a cup, and more. Oh, there is a cell phone kiosk of some sort in the corner too. Most of the stuff is in Spanish, and the staff doesn't necessarily speak much English, but you can easily sample the ice cream. In the paleta section, at the bottom of the case, the wrap-around kind of provides some translation to most if not all flavors. There's also a tv menu too with some English. I wish I can eat all the ice cream and paletas I want without brain freeze or stomach ache, because it's impossible to decide. If this place were closer to home, I could stop by everyday, and it will still be months before I exhaust all flavors. Hmmm. maybe I need to bring an ice chest next time I head south. read more

I scream, you scream, we all scream for paletas?! Doesn't everyone just love a great ice cream? Well after all the commotion I've been hearing about this place I had to check it out. It's in Homestead across from the City Hall in a strip filled with all sorts of stores. It was a rainy day but the place was still packed. Outside they provide covered seating which was perfect for a day like this. Once inside I saw people standing in a line to the left (where the ice creams are) in front (where you can order drinks, hot food, and everything else) and to the right of me the paleta's. Next to that was the cashier. I liked the set up because even though it was crowed their operation ran smoothly and quite quickly. I have a thing for coconut so I went straight to the ice creams to check it out. This is when all hell(in a good way) broke loose. They have every "regular" flavor you can think of like vanilla, chocolate, cookies and cream and so on but they had flavors I've never heard of before. When the girl behind the counter asked if I would like to try some samples, I was like ,"do I breathe oxygen"?, LOL. Let's get this ice cream sample party started. I had to try the coconut which was delish and had flakes of real coconut in it and you can have it made with milk or water. I tried the rum raisin, freaking delicious, tequila (yes, the flavor was real), pineapple, mango, lime, I mean let's just say I tried alot! Then I see they have Mexican corn (drool worthy) they serve in a generous cup, nachos, popcorn, hotdogs, smoothies, and more. I moved on to checkout the actual paleta flavors. OMFG, here we go with all those flavors and more. They even had chikle (u know the gum) and then they had dipped ice creams and ones with fruit pieces inside like strawberries, blueberries, and kiwi. You could even add toppings! Although I originally had my heart set on the coconut, their crema fresca (girl there told me it's like condensed milk) with strawberries drew me in. I also purchased the mango and coconut paleta to go, which they wrap up for you. You can also have your paleta on a plate with added cut up fruit and that red Mexican seasoning covering it to give it that extra kick!
