The walking is pretty minimal - enough to warm you up if it's cold, but not so much that you'll overheat when it's warm. I've done the tour in a group of 2 and a group of 5, and it was fun both times. The beer pours were very generous, too! The puzzle-solving part of this tour is great because it requires you to pay attention to your surroundings as you walk from bar to bar. They also involve some trivia and wordplay. The mysteries of each tour are different, so I'm looking forward to solving the mysteries in Asheville and Durham next!

I went on an NC Grape Escape tour for my birthday, and I highly recommend booking with this local…read morebusiness!! It took me awhile to find an affordable wine tour option in the Piedmont/Yadkin area, and Grape Escape delivered exactly what we were looking for. Our driver, Paula, let us make our own vineyard itinerary. She picked us up at 10am on a Saturday, and we visited five vineyards in the Swan Creek area before returning around 6pm. Paula clearly knew all of the vineyards well and was able to make good recommendations at each place. She was friendly with all of the vineyard staff and helped us get a tasting table at each venue, making it a standout experience. My favorite part about our tour is that all of the wine tastings are included in the tour cost, so you don't have to worry about paying at each place. You pay everything up front, and Paula takes care of the rest! We visited Shadow Springs, Windsor Run, Dobbins Creek, Raffaldini, and Piccione vineyards. Out of the five, I highly recommend incorporating Windsor Run and Piccione into your NC wine tour! I also can't recommend booking with NC Grape Escape enough...they were exactly what we wanted.

Basically, it is a scavenger hunt/trivia/blind taste testing event through several breweries. We had a great time figuring out the clues to get us to the next location and it took me to some places I never would have tried. I liked that it was self-guided so we could spend as much time at any of the places and not feel rushed. I will definitely check them out again and think it would be even more fun in a city that I am not familiar with (and they have locations in Charlotte, Asheville, and Raleigh)!

I thought it would be more of a scavenger hunt, but the main focus is a beer tasting test. I think the beer samples for the tasting should be small (like a half shot glass) and then you should get to pick your half pour from a select menu or something. Two of us don't like some of the hoppy beers, so my husband ended up drinking several of the beers and didn't get to buy any other beer he actually wanted. Other than that, we really enjoyed ourselves. The bartender at the last stop was particularly awesome and all of the bartenders knew what was going on and were really welcoming and cool about it.

Our first trip was to the Amalfi coast, never could I imagine a more wonderful experience. Every minute from arriving in Rome, to arriving in Positano for 8 nights, and returning to Rome was amazing. Our journey director was outstanding. Our fellow travelers were fabulous, a group of 12. We would explore the coast from this beautiful spot in Positano, each day setting out for adventure in a lovely Mercedes van. We were mostly in places where we saw few Americans, we ate at wonderful restaurants, and had an absolute blast. We had a wonderful blend of active and down time, we learned and saw so much, and laughed every day ! Amazing! The next trip was Florence, Cinque Terra, and Tuscany, amazing as well. The hotels and villa we stayed in were top notch, our journey director amazing, another perfect trip. This was a more active trip, but we enjoyed every second, we felt like we saw a very real side of Italy, not just tourist spots. The Time we spent on each spot was magical. The charming town of Lucca and the Villa in Tuscany were top of our list. We are not organized tour people, but the small group, perfectly curated Nada's trips are beyond. We could not recommend them more highly.
