Amy did 2 passes of the laser on my acne scars on my lower face and one pass on my forehead. I didn't feel any discomfort until about after 5 hours. It felt like a sunburn. I went to work the next week. I was a red like a bad sunburn for the first 2 days. The 3 day I wore makeup. I probably would've gotten it done on a Thursday and taken Friday off and had the weekend to recover. I'm very happy with my results. I had my first ever Botox and lip filler appointment with Ashley. She never showed me what she was…read moregoing to inject, never explained the products, risks, or aftercare. As someone new to cosmetic treatments, I trusted her -- only to later find out she injected 147 units of Botox. That is an excessive amount for anyone, especially for someone like me with no forehead wrinkles ( my treatment it was only forehead and around the eyes ) who only wanted a small preventative treatment. Within weeks, my forehead was completely frozen, I developed drooping in both eyebrows, and my right eyelid has ptosis. I called about one week after the appointment for help, and the only response I received was a call from Ashley telling me this was "normal" and practically yelling at me. As for my lips, the same day of the procedure I could tell something was off -- my upper lip was noticeably larger than my lower lip. When I asked about it, she simply said she "only added volume," showing no concern for symmetry or the overall look of her work. I am still waiting for my neurologist appointment because I now have half of my head paralyzed and pain in the right side of my forehead. I am sharing this because I do not want anyone else to go through what I went through. I encourage anyone who has had a terrible experience here to speak up, so we can help prevent more people from becoming victims of poor, unethical work. I was assured that my skin tone, hair texture, and ethnicity would not be an issue and was even told that my dark hair should respond well to the treatment. After completing six sessions, I saw little to no noticeable reduction in hair growth. Throughout the process, it became increasingly apparent that treating women with my skin tone and hair type was not something this business had significant experience with. Despite following the recommended treatment plan and attending multiple appointments, I did not receive the results I was promised. Because I was not seeing any improvement, I canceled my final two appointments. When I called, the receptionist apologized and stated that a manager would contact me. The manager did reach out, apologized for my experience, and told me she would speak with the laser technician to review my progress and treatment history. Unfortunately, after that conversation, I never heard back. There was no follow-up, no explanation, no concern for the lack of results, and no effort to address my experience. What disappointed me most was not only the lack of results, but the lack of customer care. Once my concerns were raised, communication completely stopped. It left me feeling as though the focus was on collecting payments rather than ensuring clients achieve successful outcomes. Based on my personal experience, I would encourage women of color, particularly African-American women with coarse hair, to thoroughly research a provider's experience treating diverse skin tones and hair types before committing to a treatment package. My concerns were not taken seriously, my results were nonexistent, and my attempts to seek answers were ultimately ignored.
