    Vanilla latte hot

In town visiting and decided to try out Charlotte's for coffee and breakfast. Very upbeat but relaxing restaurant with plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. My favorite vanilla latte was delicious and I went with a bacon, egg biscuit which was absolutely delicious. Staff was friendly and we enjoyed our meal. Definitely a must have if you want a delicious specialty coffee. They also had several delicious looking pastries but my breakfast filled me up. Did manage to take 2 lattes to go since we won't be back this was a one time trip. Enjoy!

Super cute coffee and cafe spot in Dubuque! Even with it being extremely packed on Sunday morning service was too notch and went quickly. There is indoor seating for about 50 people. My fiancé and I sat in a secluded booth area which was super cozy and intimate. My fiancé had a turtle latte, he enjoyed it and said it was good. I tried it and thought it was sweet, creamy and a perfect way to start the morning. I had the pumpkin cold brew with cream and that was also delicious. Slightly bitter compared to the turtle latte however that's how I like my coffee. For food we shared the full portion of the veggie breakfast panini and both thought it was great! The eggs are light and fluffy, veggies were cooked well and the sourdough bread was the perfect bread choice for this.

A client recommended this coffee shop it is SO CUTE! Never seen one like it, and I think it's because of the structure of the building. Great coffee, menu options, love the comfortable seating. Some tables in the back have high top chairs, some towards the front have regular tables. There were cupcakes, cake and pie slices. Friendly staff, I was glad I stopped by.

I had a great experience here! Their menu has a wide variety of options from açaí bowls, paninis, salads and bakery items as well as regular and specialty coffee drinks. While it was pretty busy on a Saturday morning, there is a good amount of seating and when you eat in, the staff will deliver your order directly to your table!

Place is dope. Food is delectable. Seating area is comfy and cozy which maybe basically the same adjective but I think you get the point. I forgot what food I ordered, but it was tasty. My sister ended up giving me half of her avacado toast and I scarfed it down faster than you can grind some espresso beans. Now, for the main hyped part of this review: the cappuccino. If you don't know, I have kind of a cult following (not really) due to my cappuccino reviews. I include service, presentation, and taste. The service was incredibly fast. 5/5 Presentation was worthy of an Instagram influencer or whatever they call themselves. 5/5 Taste was solid! I liked it! Not the greatest but worthy of trying it! 4/5 Overall, this place is wonderful. I went her once before it had the fire back a few years ago and it seems to be even better now.

Delicious meal! My friend and I dine-in for a quick lunch. I love the kbbq quesadilla! I was skeptical at first but really wanted to try it. My friend is vegetarian so she got the veggiebhreaskfast panini. The raspberry chai latte and berry tea were refreshing and complimented the food. We will totally come back!

I'm usually a big fan of Charlotte's, but I had a disappointing experience today. I ordered an acai bowl to-go, and when I opened the bag at work, I found that the container was barely filled with acai puree and instead mostly contained bananas. When paying $7.00 for a small, I expected more. The other item we ordered was a panini, and when we opened the container, we realized it wasn't cut, and we didn't have utensils, so we had to tear it in half (It's a huge sandwich and if not cut, everything falls out). Normally, I enjoy their food but the service and quality seem to be slipping but their prices remain high.

Coffee's wonderful. Unfortunately during busier hours you can expect a 30 minute wait for a simple sandwich.

Very cute place but on the day we visited it must have been terribly understaffed. We waited 30 minutes for a chai tea.

Recently, some close friends, my wife and I drove over to Dubuque for a weekend getaway. We love…read morefarm-to-table restaurant concepts and in-city dining, so we thought Convivium would be an ideal spot to have breakfast on our first day in town. As great as this place could (if not should) be, it will never reach it's potential with the lousy customer service that we experienced. Why do I say this? Read on Yelper. We arrive for breakfast around 9:45 am on Saturday. There was a little bit of a line, which is to be expected at any well known breakfast/brunch establishment, right? The young lady working the register asked if we wanted to pick a table outside, handed us four menus and told us that someone would be out there to help us shortly. We sat at an empty, yet still dirty with plates from the last customers, table that was in the shade. Annnnnd we waited. As staff came out to attend to other customers sitting in the same patio area, the four of us sat there waiting for water, coffee, a smile... heck even an acknowledgement that we were there would have been nice. Seriously, if the Invisible Man was real and sitting at the table, he probably would have had a better chance of being noticed by the servers working that morning. We ended up busing our own table because no staff would bother to do it - I'm very serious. Nearly 20 minutes pass. As another couple comes into the patio, sits down and gets near immediate service with their drink orders, we had it! We entered the restaurant to find out what the problem is for such terrible service?!? The tall, head service member (did not catch her name) had an attitude for sure with her question "Did one of us seat you?" and we answered that "No, your host teammate told us to grab the table." She damn near rolled her eyes. Finally, lightening struck... someone showed up to give us water, wipe the table, and take our order. But don't get your hopes up that this was the end of bad service. Regrettably, it was not. We waited nearly 25 more minutes to get our order of eggs, potatoes, bacon, and sausage. Tough order for a breakfast place, don'tcha think? Out comes the food... without utensils to eat with. 4 mins of watching your food get cold motivated us to good inside and get our own utensils. As we did, the head member walks out with the items. Now - let's shift to the one positive part of the experience and that of course is the food. To show you that I am a reasonable reviewer, I will tell you that the meal was very tasty, cooked to order, and satisfying (especially when you're starving!). When I said at the beginning that this place can be great, the food is the reason why. After a Friday night of fun, a place like Convivium is just what you want for a Saturday breakfast before an afternoon of NCAA College Football - you know what I mean? But until management decides to hold the staff accountable for this terrible customer service, Convivium will be closed in less than 5 years (my prediction). Read some of the other reviews... we share the same general opinion. And this is coming from someone that values restaurant concepts like this one. Get it together before its too late, Convivium.

What a disappointment. Yelp usually leads me to amazing spots, but this was a fail…read more I loved the concept and the cool vibe of the place but the food and the service were lacking the same luster. My dad, sister, and I stopped in on a Sunday afternoon. My sister enjoyed her chicken pesto panini but Dad found his pulled pork to be dry and bland. I ordered broccoli cheese soup with sourdough toast. The soup was absolutely disgusting. It was so thick, overcooked, and tasted like it had been on a back burner for three days straight. Not to be gross, but it looked like congealed dog vomit. When I mentioned to our server, she was very condescending. I would like to try again and hopefully it was just a tough day.

In the early 2000s the street was annihilated to make room for highway expansion, but the name lives on in the coffee. For my first review from their brand, I went with a whole bean bag of their Shot Tower Espresso blend. The company describes that blend as having a " smooth yet sharp character with no bitterness. The delicately dark roast level results in a taste and aroma that is full-bodied with a sweet and creamy complexity." Beans for their signature espresso blend are selected from Central America, South America and Indonesia in order for a unique and nuanced flavor profile. Picked out what I wanted and ordered online...only to find out that my in-laws don't really use ground coffee, but single-serve instead. Agh! Once I found out this very-important-information, it was an 1.5 hours after placing my order. I emailed customer services asking about how I could change my order from ground coffee to single-serve. Eric immediately wrote me back and explained that it would be easier to cancel my order, then I could reorder what I did want, as they use a 3rd party credit card processor. I was instantly refund the $ I spent on my original order, so I turned around and bought the single-serve coffee instead. Less than 48 hours after placing my online order my in-laws received their coffee in the Chicago suburbs - super fast delivery. They were thrilled, and I can't say enough good things about Verena Street's products and their customer service. Would love to see them expand their single-serve coffee flavors in the future. The ability to choose a shipping date (especially for the holiday season) would be a nice option, too. Highly recommend.
