Server very engaging and attentive. She recommended non alcoholic drinks for two of us, one being a cucumber infused the other had a grapefruit base. My dark stout was tasty. My date's red wine as well. The sour dough bread was baked fresh and it "kept coming." Leek and cheese fondue appetizer addictive. Famous fried chicken did not disappoint. The jalapeño corn bread had a great kick. My Sopressato pizza was outstanding as the shrimp pasta. Locally sourced foods. My dessert of a classic Brandy Alexander... Yum. The bar for quality, uniqueness, and service hasn't lowered. It's the testament to Brazen's longevity, something very rare today. Forgot to add it's a great value for the $ in today's market!

Our server, Abbe, did her thing and I ordered the Amish chicken based on her rave opinion of it. She wasn't wrong! It was out of this world! It was marinated with black truffle and brown sugar and the smashed potatoes had a black garlic vinaigrette. To. Die. For. Lest I forget, the peach and burrata with sourdough was also divine and the leek fondue- yeah, just take my money. Even though I couldn't finish my dinner and was definitely taking it home, I couldn't pass up the vegan sticky date cake. This was melt in your melt delicious. This was truly a meal to remember and I'm so glad we got to experience it!

The place looks run down and take out mostly because no one was eating in the place but orders were going out and phones were ringing, maybe a good sign. You know how much I love the combination plate when it comes to Chinese food so I called in and ordered the beef with broccoli dinner combo and my side choices were egg roll and pork fried rice which took 10 minutes. My only disappointment was no hot mustard like in Milwaukee because I like that on my egg roll with soy sauce. My combination dinner actually looked really good and better than I expected with a full size egg roll, thank you. The pork fried rice didn't look like much but it was flavorful and not cooked to mush but flavorful. The egg roll was not frozen with crispy fresh cabbage and also flavorful with a nice golden wrapper. The beef and broccoli was also flavorful with thick tender beef and broccoli that was not cooked to mush with some crunch left in it, dam everything cooked perfectly and no mushy food. WOW I'm impressed with this place because it puts lots of Chinese restaurants to shame because it was cooked perfectly, not skimping and flavorful so I would definitely have dinner here again. Was it the best, no but it was better than most places and I have done a lot of them so the freshness stands out.

When served, one was slightly greener while the other was definitely blue. They were 'okay' but nothing to write home about. We had a short stack (6 rings) of onion rings (really delicious) and an order of fried pickles (just the right amount of pickle flavoring)! Both were $3 off each during happy hour. The bacon burger and fries were so delicious that my son ate all of it. Hubby and I had the Avo-cab-o salad. Yes! Excellent! The chicken was not dried out and we both loved the flavor mixture. I had enough left over to take home for the next days lunch. We ended our meal with the lemon layer cake. It did take a minute to come out and we suspect it may be they had to 'defrost' it for a minute first. We actually loved the fact that it was cold and dense. I think it enhanced the lemon flavor. It's served with a strawberry syrup around the edge & whipped cream... both a great compliment to the tartness! Kudos to Donny, our server! He was right on top of dinner service the entire time and was a great compliment to our dining experience!
