Saw an announcement on Facebook for this food truck. I checked out their menu online and it looked good so I visited them in Sun City Center. I attempted to order their Hot Chicken Sandwich and the gal said she's not doing chicken today. They're too busy. I ordered the Crabby Fries but couldn't get the chicken tender added because no chicken today. I also ordered the Truffle Crab Mac n Cheese. It was decent. Portions were small on the mac and cheese. So hire more help or completely remove all chicken items from the menu if you can't handle it. read more

Super friendly. Gave great recommendations for menu items. I got the Old Bay spicy chicken sandwich and the flavor was great BUT my bun wasn't fresh. The fries were seasoned nicely. This food truck was at the Shopapalooza festival which was a great option at a festival. Crab cakes- wow, so decided to give it a try. Service was slow due to only 2 people working the truck. We ordered large crab cakes, which weren't on the menu but available. This took a long time to prepare so when the enquire was made as to how others who ordered after all the crab cakes people the cook lost it and started shouting that it was a special order so it takes longer. He was shouting at this other guy and told him he can get him money back and to cancel the order. I can appreciate that this required a different preparation, however, the cook could have just explained why it takes longer instead of the attack. We got the crab cakes and fries. The cakes were fresh and not full of fillers which was nice. However, it could have had more seasoning. The sauce that it was served with made it tasty. It needed the sauce. The fries were good enough. Was expensive - 2 crab cakes, fries and a coke - $59US Would not go out of my way to go back to this truck. read more

I was immediately greeted when I approached the food truck. I ordered the crabby fries which are simply fries topped with blue crab dip and bell peppers. It was hot and fresh. Hi, I was at the Fresh Market at Wiregrass this past Saturday. The guy with the Blue Crab hat. I ordered (2) crab cake classics with fries. The crab cakes were small (not 7 oz.) and had more filler than I expected. It did have some large pieces of backfin but it did not look like the one pictured on you menu board or web site. I only got FF in one order (I thought I ordered for both) And I did not receive any Old Bay spice on the side. $ 58.00 for my order. Ouch. Sorry to say I was disappointed. read more

I was excited to try this food truck because I am from Baltimore and love crab cakes but I was disappointed with this experience. I had to wait for a bit to order while they finished preparing other orders and then waited for quite a long time for my food. The owners were very nice and apologetic. The crab cake tasted pretty good except for the taste of shells that I noticed. They asked if I wanted a bun and I said yes, but didn't get one, which is fine. I was asked if I wanted old bay fries and I said yes, but I got regular crinkle fries that tasted like frozen fries that had no seasoning (salt) and definitely were not old bay. The cookies were good, though. For almost $40 bucks for a crab cake, fries, and cookies, plus tip, it was not worth it. read more

Being a Maryland girl, I stalked this food truck for months before finally being able to try it. My first visit, there were highs and lows, but the lowest point was that the crab cake was very undercooked and mushy in the center, and I did not enjoy it. Fast forward to this past weekend when I thought I'd give them another try. I had the Classic Crab Cake Platter to-go. It came with a crab cake, set on a tomato and piece of lettuce, and french fries with Old Bay sprinkled on them. I asked for them to cook my crab cake longer this time, and I enjoyed it much more than my first visit. I thought there was a decent crab to filler ratio. In the future, though, they should probably avoid putting the hot crab cake on the cold lettuce and tomato, since that made them warm and mushy. Also - both the picture on their menu board, and their menu online says the platter comes with coleslaw, which it did not. The platter costs $21, which I think is high for what you actually get. The couple that owns this food truck are SO NICE, and I think they are trying really hard to make great Maryland food for the masses, so I'm sure I will be back. read more

I'd actually say 3.5 stars. Just had the double down with old bay fries and the Mac and Cheese. Portions were massive which is great. Fries were really good too. I think I would have liked the sandwich more with the crab dip on the side. The crab cake on its own was very good but the topping was overpowering. I couldn't taste the crab cake at all. The noodles in the mac and cheese were over cooked so they were mushy which ruined the dish. Would be willing to try them again next time I see them. read more

I heard this gem of a food truck was visiting my work and was ecstatic. I'm a Baltimore girl and miss home and Baltimore and Maryland foods and treats. I ordered the Amy's fries without the jalapeños and with the SOB sauce on the side. They are Old Bay seasoned boardwalk fries that are topped with amazing hot blue crab dip. The crab dip has huge lumps of crab meat and sprinkled with Old Bay. It is the closest thing that I've had to Maryland crab fries! The owner is from Maryland so it is the real deal. I'm a Maryland girl myself and miss crabby items. The service was quick and the owner's husband remembered me from last time and that I do not like jalapeños. This hit the spot! This is a food truck that was inspired by Maryland seafood and culture. Our family is from Baltimore and have been around crab cakes and seafood our whole lives so you can imagine the expectations. As you can see we ordered a bunch of food as we figured, "cannot wait to taste Baltimore here in Tampa!" but do not waste your time. I can provide you with several places around the Tampa area that provide you the level of "bang for your buck", quality, value, and satisfaction. Crab cakes barely had any crab, so much for lump crab. And the amount of fillers in all of the dishes turned this meal into a donation. I mean the owners were very nice but when you're hungry and spending over $100 you expect to have your taste buds to have an explosion with flavor. As much as it pains me to put this review for a fellow Baltimorean I have to be honest with the review. And even though the food truck had to cook our entire order twice because they gave the first round away to another customer by mistake - the food just wasn't what you'd really get in Baltimore. Been seeing this truck around since I moved from MD to FL a couple years ago and finally got to try it tonight. First time I've had a good crab cake in Florida! Crab cake sandwich and old bay fries were awesome! Lots of crab, and not a ton of filler, a great crab cake even by Maryland standards. If you've eaten a crab cake anywhere else in Florida...you've never had a crab cake. Owner was a great guy and it was nice to talk about his truck and all the best crabcakes in MD. Awesome to have a taste of home down here. Will definitely look out for these guys next time I'm craving a crabcake. I grew up in Maryland and lived there for 18 years. I saw that this food truck was in the local Mount Dora area for a festival and I sought it out. My wife is not from Maryland, but loves crab cakes. I always told her the crap she ate in Florida was always full of filler. This food truck makes everything from scratch, so be prepared it does take a little longer to get your food. But it is so worth the wait. I had The Double Down. My wife had the Charm City Classic. We also split two crab egg rolls. All of the food was absolutely amazing! There was no filler in the crab cakes at all! I question some of the comments that mention filler and would classify those people as Baltimorons because there is NO FILLER! The food was hot, fresh, and made to order. I was even impressed that the food truck had the limited edition Old Bay hot sauce. I had never tried it. The fries were excellent and had just enough Old Bay seasoning on them. This food truck had a very steady line and two separate couples that ate at our picnic table shared our feeling that the food was pretty special. I've always had crab cakes, but a crab cake sandwich..... that's doing too much. Boy was I wrong. I went there for the Truffle crab Mac which was honestly the BEST Mac and cheese I've ever had. My boy hit off with the two guys working the truck, they both spent some time in Maryland. He convinced me to get 2 double down's. My god were those sandwiches amazing! Y'all knocked it out of the park with what you guys are making and serving. The 2 guys in the truck were personable and professional. I can only comment on the crab cakes as that is what all 7 of us ordered. We are all from Maryland and moved recently near Tampa and we were all excited to taste a "Maryland crab cake". We all met up at the food truck. The owner was very nice but we were more than disappointed at the crab cakes. We had no problem with the price as that was in range for a lump crab cake. They were not all lump. There were no lumps. As a matter of fact we had to look for a piece of crab meat. The meat was strings no discernible lumps or even small pieces of crabmeat. They were so "red" from all the old bay that's all you tasted. Maryland crab cakes that are considered lump are all lumps and most recipes have no old bay. A few have some old bay seasoning but never to overpower the taste of crab. They were mostly filler with strings of crab meat throughout and lots of old bay. None of us could even eat ours. We threw them in the trash and all said lesson learned. I'm shocked at the reviews that said they were great. read more
