Good food at a reasonable price. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Neat setup in a fenced in area of the parking lot next to Subway.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Seating is good.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Parking is good. Food is good. Only reason for 4 stars is being out of the brisket, which is what I really wanted. Will 100% come back.

Pulled pork, potato salad, green beans, lemonade

I stumbled onto this place by accident, and I am so glad I decided to have lunch here. I had the pulled pork with green beans and potato salad. The pulled pork was excellent and I really enjoyed the bbq sauce that came with. The potato salad and green beans. I thought we're good for what they are. I was surprised by the lemonade, it was very good, but not too over-the-top sweet. I'd definitely eat here again if I was back in the area. The lady who took my order was very nice and my meal was ready quickly. [[HIGHLIGHT]]They have a few picnic tables available outside for you to eat at.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Brisket is the way to go! Def get the eggs and corn- sooo good! I can't wait to go back and try the seafood! Prepared fresh by two very hard working people! Couldn't wait to stop by and try this place. I always try the pulled pork first any bbq place I go- my neighbor went with me and got the brisket- Go with the brisket it literally pulled apart like butter! Both of us got the potato salad- very good like very good! She got green beans I got Mac and cheese both were ok. We tried the eggs and corn also- it's in garlic butter just had too and glad we did YUMYUM! Their sauce is more Carolina gold style- not my usual choice but this sauce was delicious. like I said I'll be back to try more, there's so much to choose from!

Sim's isn't fancy, but the smoked mullet is top notch.

The smoked mullet was excellent. A little spicier that normal but I really enjoyed it. This is basically a to go place with little room to dine on site, but that was ok with us since we packed it for a flight back to Louisiana. The staff was attentive and service was quick. We'll be back.

Found some Smokin' good Que on the drive to St Augustine. Worth a stop. The Shrimp Platter is off the hook well seasoned deliciousness. My husband was very impressed with how the brisket was so moist/juicy (not easy to do with brisket). All the customers I spoke with in line were repeat locals each with their own recommendations from the smoked Turkey leg to the homemade sweet potato pie. #BridgieBreland #Eatlocal #que #Found some Smokin' good Que on the drive to St Augustine. I dont travel into Florida much but I have traveled into many parts of the Caribbean. It's known that in the Caribbean, you find some pretty good places off the side of the rode. This reminds me a lot of those places. The area is not the best scenery but if you overlook that and just focus on the food, it's good. The sauce they provided is not the typically BBQ, it has a honey lingering taste to it. Nothing bad but definitely unquie which is a good thing. I poured all of the sauce they gave me onto my sandwich. Another interesting item was the Mac and cheese. I tasted a bit of coconut in it. Maybe I am crazy but it sure had a flavor of it. Would I recommend this place yes but you may also want to keep a baseball bat in the trunk of your car too...just in case.

My man Sims done did it again. I come to Tampa to work often and I have been telling my girl about this place. Brought her today and did not disappoint yet again. Food is always top tier. Most tender meats ever. I'll be coming back every time I come to work up in Tampa.

It is another good BBQ in Hillsborough County. This one located north of Mango. I like them because they have several good things happen to my visit. It is a food truck on the corner of CR 579 and US 92 Northwest corner. This smoke BBQ has smoke mullet. Their smoke mullet maintaining juicy condition and easy to pick the whole fish meat. Because the debone most of the fish. We also got their smoke brisket sandwich. It is good marinated. I like the carry a bit fat to beautify the entire taste. We got smoke rib which is also has meat fall off the bone. Easy to eat. The smoke chicken maintains it juicy meat. I have been to many smoke place but the meat is to dry. This place did a good job to keep the meat juicy. The side turkey rice is my favorite. The wait is a bit long. But I don't mind.

This review is not about the food--it is about the treatment I received from a staff member. From the moment I entered the restaurant, the waitress appeared to have an attitude toward me. As an immigrant with a Jamaican accent, I sometimes have to repeat myself, but customer service employees should remain patient and professional when dealing with people from different backgrounds and cultures. During the interaction, I felt disrespected and insulted. The situation escalated to the point where the police were called. The responding officers were respectful, professional, and understanding. I admit that I became upset and responded with inappropriate language after feeling provoked. The restaurant business is about serving the public, and the public consists of people from many different races, cultures, and nationalities. Every customer and delivery driver deserves to be treated with dignity and respect. I believe Kojak Restaurant should invest more in customer service training and emphasize professionalism, respect, and cultural awareness for all employees. No one should feel unwelcome or disrespected when entering a business. I hope management takes concerns like this seriously and works to create a more welcoming environment for everyone.

Off to the side of Publix, past the liquor store, stands this quick service cheesesteak place. I haven't had a good cheesesteak in a while. I went to school in Philly and have grown to love this meat and cheese sandwich from the city of Brotherly love. Leftys has majority of their locations in Detroit. One in Cleveland. Then two in Florida. One is in Tampa and the other in Brandon. The set-up is simple. You order at the counter. They have a few tables but this is mostly a take-out place. There was a tv with sports on and one other couple eating. We placed our order right away. I got Sam's Cheesesteak. I ordered it large which cost $15. The sandwich was loaded with meat, cheese sauce, grilled onions, green peppers, mushrooms and white American cheese under it all. This cheesesteak was hefty. The meat, cheese and veggies all melded together and made a pretty decent sandwich. A little crunch from the peppers, the meat was savory and the cheese covered everything. This was good but I felt it was pricey considering it didn't come with a side. My wife ordered the Buffalo Chicken hoagie. This was covered with chopped breaded chicken, buffalo sauce, pepperjack cheese, lettuce, tomatoes and ranch. It had a kick and my wife said it was pretty good. This at the regular size was priced at $12. Filling, fresh, meaty, greasy, tasty. If you're looking for a cheesesteak, check out Leftys.
