So I found this location searching for sample sales and made an appointment very early into my wedding planning just to see what I was thinking for wedding dress. Keep in mind I love shopping but hate sales vibes. This being said they were awesome. Gave me clips to try what I was interested in. As I mentioned what I didn't like catered the dress closer and closer to my taste. Two of the last dresses I thought well I have a better idea now and I'll just try these last two to see. The one I tried was the second to last but also the one. Super easy decision once I saw me in it. My intentional concern was alterations. Alterations lady though...was so BOMB! No matter how many times I needed her to take it in she was accommodating. In the end the one issue I did face was with my bridesmaids dress. I had bridesmaids in different parts of the country. They helped me pick the ones I wanted send my girls they info to find in their states. They where forthcoming when my MOH dress was delayed do to the pandemic. The initial try on went well, it was the pick up that turned south. The dress appliqué were not all steamed as promised . It then turned into a shouting match with JENIA. She was so unprofessional and basically did not care because we had already spent the $2500 plus. Service: in terms of scheduling to come try on as well as well as my alterations, I feel like it was very easy to pick a date and time. During wedding season, it gets hectic so them calling several times to remind you about your upcoming appointment helps more than you realize. The only time they had to reschedule was when there was a literal hurricane. All the ladies are so nice and are just there to help you. I didn't feel like I was being pushed into buying something and what I did buy was in the budget I had set. The sizing was spot freaking on and required minimal alterations. Whereas the groom and groomsmen did NOT get their suits here and we are less than a week away and the best man still hasn't gotten his and 5 of the suits (grooms included didn't fit). We wish we went here instead. The alterations took maybe 3 times because my dog chewed up my wedding shoes and we needed to alter the length again but it now fits like a glove. Selection: I thought the selection was good for me. I think you need to take into account the size of the store and what you are looking for. I knew what I wanted style wise and price wise. I tried on 5/6 dresses and found the one I wanted. Value: my dress I felt was very reasonable, if not a solid steal. Alterations were a concern because my cousin paid close to $800 for hers for a take in and hem. Mine was $300 for two hems (had to change shoes) a take it, the straps shortened and a bustle added. The seamstress did a killer job. Having them hold the dress until the wedding and give it a final steam is so nice because I'm paranoid something will happen to it just sitting in my closet at home. read more

My daughter and I tried to find a wedding dress, Mother's dress, bridesmaid's dresses, and flower girl dress. We were "greeted" by a dismissive, snobby woman who only said go through and if you want to try a dress, put a pin on it. The store was so hit that we started sweating, and had to ask for tge A C to be turned on. There were tattered, dirty bridal gowns in the racks that had been discontinued, but still on sake! I tried them on and felt so awkward and uncomfortable. She wasn't paying attention and clearly was not concerned with making a sale. I had a budget of $3,000. Towards the end she asked if I wanted her to pull any dresses for me. I must have been there less than 45 min. I went shopping for a wedding dress and had a great experience. Lauren was excellent and helped select dresses based on my taste. The store also had a large assortment of dresses and was laid out well. I've been to many bridal shops and this is the only place I've seen that banned photography and requested tips for the person helping you try on the dresses. My aunt tried to take a photo on her phone of the back of a dress I had on and was quickly shut down. I do believe this policy essentially cost them my business. I tried on dresses at a few different shops and took photos of myself in each. I had it narrowed down to two dresses elsewhere, one at charme, then I had an appointment already scheduled somewhere else immediately after. At my appointment at the final bridal shop, I was able to pull up pictures of myself in the dresses I tried on at the other places and compare them. Even though I had just left charme, it's hard to compare two dresses you can't see side by side. Since they banned taking pictures, I asked for a stock photo instead and they wouldn't give me that either. I ended up purchasing a dress elsewhere but I truly believe that could've been different if they'd let me take a photo so I had it with me to compare before making that decision, as silly as that may sound. Also, the consultant worked hard and deserves to get paid for her time. However, I did find it tacky to request tips for someone who is doing their job to help you make a very expensive purchase. It felt similar to having signage to tip your car salesman or travel agent. This was no fault of the consultant but more so another store 'policy.' I feel like paying the consultants a higher wage or commission would be more appropriate but that's just my opinion. They did a great job helping me find my dress however on my wedding day my dress was not ready when I went to pick up , causing me to be late to my makeup appointment, which ultimately resulted in me not being able to have the special moment where I walk down the isle with my father to my husband. My mind was blown at the prices for such simple and un-detailed craftsmanship for a dress. If you're local to the area, a visit for convenience is not a bad idea. However if you do not live nearby, don't waste your time making a trip to this location. If you're looking for quality, stylish selections..... your better suited looking elsewhere. The staff was kind, at least the woman who worked with us. The woman at checkout was super rude and had no customer service skills. She was clearly looking to tack on extra fees. The owner is unbendable, condescending and snippy when speaking with you about an issue. When discussing my dress with her and mentioning the many bad reviews she said there are two sides to every story. Yes there are, but check every site you can for reviews, this store has had bad reviews over the course of 4-5 years over multiple sites. There are so many other stores that will give you better customer service and a better experience. I am getting married in June. I came to charme in October of last year and I found the perfect dress here! I was so excited! When I committed to this dress, I asked if changes could be made and they said "of course! That is no problem! Our seamstress is amazing!" So I trusted them. My dress came in in December and I came in to try it! Granted this was after the holidays, so I thought maybe that was why the dress was a little tight. I said I needed a lot of changes. The boning in the dress was very weak and made indentions in my back, not cute, not flattering and just not how you want to feel on your wedding day. The dress was way too tight and now ALL my goodies are hanging out, which just wasn't something that I wanted for my wedding day. The staff told me that it shouldn't be a problem to make any changes to my wedding dress and scheduled me for my first alterations appointment in April. I asked them if that would be enough to make the changes I needed, and they said absolutely. So, I came in and I was telling the seamstress all the changes I needed and literally anything I asked for, she said she couldn't do it. She couldn't take the dress out, even slightly. Even though, charme ordered the wrong size for me. The dress is visibly too small. Even these months later. She said, she couldn't do anything about the boning. She said she couldn't even hem my dress. SO SHE CUT THE BOTTOM OF THE DRESS. She not only cut it, she cut it jagged and crooked. She didnt even seal the bottom of the dress. The dress I purchased was a deep V with mesh. She said she could fill it. So, when she filled the lace, she brought the top in even tighter, exposing even more of my chest. She broke the boning underneath and didn't fix it before giving it back to me, despite having my dress for two weeks. When I told her the top made me uncomfortable because it was showing so much, she told me I just needed to be more confident because this is formal wear and it isn't like something you wear everyday. Basically avoiding any of my issues. When I called to get help from charme, they told me I just needed to keep working with her because the seamstress is really good at her job and that after talking with her, she can make any changes I need, but I still have to pay for the problems she caused. Then, they said that they were told that I have gained weight and that's why the dress doesn't fit how it should. They said that the seamstress told me she had to do a raw cut on my dress because the lace was different. Even though, I took it to another seamstress and they said that the lace could've been taken off and placed back on. So now, I'm left to pay a qualified seamstress an outrageous amount of money to fix my issues correctly or buy a new dress. They are very unwilling to work with you. They have a strict no return policy, even when issues you have is something that is caused by them. Like them ordering you the wrong size, like they did with me. Or the seamstress literally RUINING your dress, like they did with me. Please take your money somewhere else, for a good and well rounded experience that you deserve for your wedding day. read more

We had a lovely consultant (Amy) and she was very attentive and did an awesome job helping select dresses and was super sweet. This 3 rating is not from customer service -that's a 5 star- it's that you are not allowed to take any pictures. We had a #1 dress from another salon and a #1 dress from here. We could not compare the 2, making for a difficult decision. I have been to a dozen or so salons to think this is not a common practice. There was a QR code to tip our consultant. I "assume" it's if you don't make a purchase you can recognize them for doing a good job. Perhaps they work on 100% commission, I don't know. I purchased a very beautiful dress from this store for my wedding. Unfortunately, my fiancé had a bad accident & we had to cancel our wedding plans. (His recovery could take up to 10 months) The dress I purchased NEVER left the store & NEVER had alterations. I called and spoke to the manager to talk to her about getting a refund. She told me they do not give refunds under any circumstances. I asked to speak to the owner; she laughed & said she wasn't there & that she could tell me what the owner would say. I offered to provide all of the medical documentation from the ER, Surgeon, etc. & she still refused. I then opened a dispute with my credit card company & today I received a phone call from the owner, Jeanine, wanting to know why I opened a dispute. I again explained the entire situation (to include how rude the manager was) & the owner became VERY nasty & argumentative. I couldn't even believe what I was hearing on the other end of the phone. She told me I signed a "contract" & she would not make any exceptions regardless of circumstance because it's their "policy". I said since she makes the policy surely she could make an exception due to the nature of this situation. She then lied & said she was standing next to the manager the day I initially called, heard the conversation, & the manager wasn't rude & continued to be very antagonistic. She kept saying, "you signed a contract". I told her I felt she was being extremely greedy & this was the worst customer service I've ever encountered. She then said, "I will dispute your dispute and I WILL win; it's not our first rodeo." Go anywhere else but here... the owner and manager are the nastiest humans ever. read more

In another misleading scheme to make money, Charme shared a sizing chart with us that was CLEARLY inadequately flawed. They led my bridesmaids to believe that the safest decision for them was to trust their measurements, and order according to their sizing chart--a decision that would put more money in Charme's pockets. Every single dress arrived LATE and 2-3 sizes too large with barely enough time for my bridesmaids to get alterations on the dresses which they were pressured to order. As you can imagine, this lack of time impacted alterations in both timing and pricing since they had to be rushed to accommodate the four-week delay in delivery. Just for a frame of reference, the dresses were originally $250, and alterations began at $100. My bridesmaids were frustrated, chopping off entire sections of their dresses that they never should have ordered. They even had the nerve to have some bridesmaids order plus size dresses at a $30 upcharge, that ended up being chopped off anyways. Obviously, it is a part of Charme's business plan to overcharge people for things they clearly don't need; it's the only feasible explanation for how they are still in business. And you want to know the icing on top of the cake? They were unapologetic following all of this, and their best offer was to cover shipping fees--which equaled no more than $100 total. So let me start by saying that we have had several experiences purchasing dresses from Charme that were great. There was nothing wrong with my dress it was perfect. However, there were issues with every single one of my bridesmaids dresses. The problem? They were ordered according to the sizes which were suggested by Charme and not the smaller size. All girls ordered a size up and the dresses were all three sizes too small. One girl's dress was ordered by someone at Charme and was NOT EVEN THE SAME DRESS!! Their answer when they were informed? "Why did she order a different dress?" & that we needed to watch the way we spoke to them. I literally will NEVER order from them again. She was told that they didn't have the dresses or many of the style - a-line and ballgown. That was an understatement. Most of the dresses are fit and flare or mermaid. I went in on a Monday afternoon, and was literally the only customer in the store. I was greeted by a clerk, and told her I needed a mother of the bride dress. I said that I would love to see what they had, or order a dress since the wedding is several months away. She led me to a rack that literally had 4-5 dresses in my size, all dark (winter) colors. When I asked if the dresses could be ordered in other colors, she told me to look at the tags. She then said "I'll check back with you!" and never came back. NOT impressed. read more

Do not get clothes from this bridal shop. They are spectacularly incompetent. I gave them clothes measurements online for my bridesmaid gown and I could not go in to see them because I live several states away. Now, I am a size 16 according to every other dress and clothing place I have come into contact with but I am actually a size 20 according to this shop. That is fine BUT I gave them my measurements AND they did not look at it or even contact me about the discrepancy in sizes. So a week before the wedding, the bride and I had to deal with the stress of me possibly not having a dress. They offered to alter the dress for me but I would have had to pay for another dress (for materials) and alterations. For their mistake! And when I found another dress, they said there was nothing they could do about giving me the wrong dress. Um, refund? Thank God for ModCloth and their actual true to life sizes. If you are going to get a dress from this place, just know they are incompetent and untrustworthy. read more

Overall it was a good experience though they don't let you take pictures which I though was a bit ridiculous since you're about to shell out $1000s on a dress and probably need to compare and think about it before you buy. They also kept putting me in dresses over my price range which I wasn't thrilled about but it's not the end of the world, just a waste of time. They were rude and screwed up our order royally. I will never purchase from them again. I was told my dress was in pink and I received a purple dress of poor quality not a dress worth the 500 that I paid. My oldest daughter had to pay an additional amount because the consultant advised her to purchase a plus size dress even though the original dress size fit her perfectly. When she received the dress she had to pay for alterations because it was several sizes too big. One of the bridesmaids received a different style dress and when we called we were told to calm down that we had picked several dresses and that the bridesmaid was at fault. All the bridesmaids dresses were small although Charms consultant took the measurements. The owner (or manager) was rude and had an attitude the entire time we were there. I was working with a small budget because I had already spent a good deal of money on the first dress, and my consultant helped me find the perfect dress. I applaud the patience of everybody in the store. I had no choice but to bring my 1 year old with me and he was not sitting quietly (we ended up taking him outside to release some energy), but nobody seemed to be bothered. I tried on several dresses which was awesome to be able to do because I do wear a larger size and I was working with a small budget. It came down to two dresses and my consultant let me go back and forth for a while. She eventually offered her opinion but wasn't pushy about it at all. DO NOT RENT A TUX HERE! As I've seen several reviews regarding the tux rental from Charme, I must agree. This is strictly about tux rental, as I have no experience with the dress side. The overall experience was very confusing and felt half-hearted. Upon my first consultation, I was shown pictures of tuxes to which I chose an ultra-slim option. Upon measurement we were fitted with an incredibly unflattering, baggy suit and were told "don't worry, this is not what the final suit will look like". I get that, but it's still unsettling when the appearance for the most important day of my life is at stake. When asking specific sizing questions and seeking professional suggestions, I was met with vague responses such as "we'll do whatever you want". Again, super unsettling. As the groom, my tux was "free" except not. I had to pay $40 for the shirt and shoes... when I asked what would happen if anything didn't fit or if I needed adjustments or anything, I was basically told they charge to make changes and they would do what they could to get replacements. Again, extremely unsettling. We decided to use another tux rental company that specializes in tuxes, in which the service was exceptional! At this point we've purchased 3 tuxes through charme, literally 2 days ago. We called to inquire about their refund policy and they'd only refund 50% of the tuxes, and wouldn't refund ANYTHING to me for the shirt and shoes. The manager told us "you're going to lose half your money so you might as well stay with us" instead of, ya know, maybe "how can we make it right" "how can we help". I am in a profession which is customer service based, and their reaction was very disappointing. They didn't even seem to care and explained that it was just their policy. I understand that, but it's a bad policy when you lack knowledgeable, professional staff and procedures. In my line of work, if a customer doesn't like a product they purchased, we swap it out or refund 100%. We bend over backwards to make absolute sure the customer is 100% satisfied. Charme does not have these same standards and for that I would NEVER refer anyone to them for tux rental. The whole experience just felt like the only thing they cared about was taking out money, not our overall satisfaction. At the expense of maybe 15 minutes total of their time, they made $300 off of me and my groomsmen. Yet honestly at this point, losing $300 to have peace of mind with a much better company was well worth it! read more

Warning!!! Do Not Rent a Tux here!!! The staff is kind, but highly incompetent when it comes to customer service or anything regarding menswear. My brother, who is getting married soon, was very particular on the slim fit style he wants for his wedding. The fitting process at Charme consisted of a baggy, brown, loose-fitting suit. Now, we were fully aware that the Dwight Shrute suit wasn't going to be the exact one we were getting for the wedding, however, Throughout fitting, the staff answered our questions and concerns with "I don't know".... "I assume so"..... and "Whatever you think".... instead of confidently giving us professional advice. When I called to let them know that we were thinking about switching to Savvi (a MUCH Better Tux company that was used for one of my friend's weddings) the manager Vicki said that we would only be refunded half, even though the wedding is still more than 2 months away, and we JUST went there 2 days ago. She also expressed little concern for our experience, and didn't seem to care at all that we decided to go with another company. She then proceeded to say that it was a miscommunication on me and my brothers part, to which I replied that it was her staff's lack of solid answers that ultimately lead to us losing confidence in their ability to deliver awesome fitting suits for the most important day of my brother's life. She then solidified my decision to cancel our order by responding to my complaint by saying, "well, I'm looking at your measurements, and I'm assuming you're getting the slim fit, so everything should be good." Thank you, Vicki... for confirming what I just said. so, that being said, if you Want a tux with measurements and styles based completely off assumptions, then I would assume that this is the place for you! Disastrous Experience After Sales with a Bill Levkoff Dress! I purchased a Bill Levkoff dress at Charme Bridal Hamilton Mill, Buford GA and, unbeknownst to me, it was a "sample" dress. When I was at home I noticed it had the word "SAMPLE" EMBROIDERED ON THE OUTSIDE, IN LARGE LETTERS. I returned to the store but the store owner has refused to exchange it or give me my money back. She was extremely rude and would not even talk to me about it, even though the dress cannot be used. This review is limited to Tuxedo review only. I cannot comment on the dress purchasing experience. DO NOT RENT A TUX FROM THIS PLACE. They know nothing about tux rentals. My son had a wedding party rent from Charme but the experience was awful. The suits you try on are not true to size. You will not get the size you order. The quality of the tuxedos is subpar and not worth anything near the $180 they charge. The suits didn't come in until closing time two days before the event making exchanges nearly impossible. Pick up your tux the day before and you are screwed if you need an exchange. There was fitment issues with almost every tux. The entire day was spent in extremely uncomfortable ill fitting suits. Do yourself a favor. Go buy yourself a real tuxedo or get a group discount on nice tailored suits you can wear after your event. STOP wasting money on rentals and for heavens sake at least rent from a reputable menswear clothing and not some Bridal shop trying to take advantage of the Groomsmen during a time that should be fun! Owner couldn't care less about customer service. I spoke with her and asked her to refund a portion of the rental to the groomsmen as a small token but she refused Her only offer was to explain the rental policies to each groomsman I told her that was unacceptable. read more

Do not buy your bridesmaids dresses here! For my sisters wedding, the store measured the bridesmaids and ordered dresses that were 2-3 sizes too small. Because none of the dresses fit, they had to be altered and the tailor had to completely change the style do the dress to modify the size. In addition, they ordered the wrong dress for one of the bridesmaids. When I called about the dress, they asked me why she ordered the wrong dress. I asked how she could be responsible if the dress she received was the dress they ordered for her. The bridesmaids dresses were $250 each. They told me that I needed to calm down and that I should have told them about their mistake sooner. They did not apologize and their service was terrible. read more

It's been months since I wanted to leave this review, so the details are not as fresh as they were. On my first visit to Charme, it was with a scheduled bridesmaid trip. Despite having an appointment, after about twenty minutes we were asked to move over six people into two fitting rooms because a smaller group needed the space we were using. They later came and told us we could have the rooms back because we also had an appointment, but that was my first impression of this place. On the second appointment, I watched a consultant be rude to the bride and tell her that she didn't like her vision. The third visit was fine because I got to spend minimal time as I was just picking up a dress. The fourth time was just Saturday. The bride called and let them know she was picking up her dress the following day. When she arrived, the associate she spoke to told her that they didn't know she was coming today, implied that she didn't call to let them know, and told her that it would be a minimal two hours before her dress could be ready to go. After the left because she didn't have two hours to wait, they called half THIRTY MINUTES to tell her it was ready for pick up. Strikingly different time frame than two hours. I picked the dress up the next day since they didn't have it ready for her the day before. I just think that overall the experience wasn't worth saving a couple of hundred dollars on a dress. Let me just say, my wedding dress is so gorgeous! I came here because this was the only place that had a close to black wedding dress. I had searched everywhere and couldn't find anything even close to what I wanted. Dina, was so amazing! Not pushy like some people, gave me the best experience I could've ever asked for. I was so stressed; and now am so relieved I found my dress! THANK YOU! You have no idea, my future husband will be back to get his tux with you! And we will definitely recommend this place. This was the worst experence i have ever encountered! The staff is rude and doesnt listen to what you want to order. The colors dont match the color pallets and when i called to complain the OWNER hung the phone up on me! So unperfessional! Please be warned!! I wouldnt even give this place 1 star! read more
