I went to Charmed Salon after being referred by my sister to get a Brazilian by Suzi. I must admit, I was a bit scared since I haven't ever gotten a wax before, but Suzi made the situation so quick and easy! She was done within 20 minutes, and the result is amazing!! Too difficult to book an appointment here. I don't have a lot free time, so having some flexibility when making appointments is important to me. I was told they don't offer same-day appointments at all. Bummer. I was also told they'd check the books and call me right back. Face down, ass up, that's the way we like to... wax? If you want every single teeny tiny hair gone from all possible crevices, then YES. I was referred by a close friend and been hesitant to do a Brazilian wax (partial just did front). She's been seeing suzi for about 4years now I decided to go tonight for the first time and I will def do it again. Suzi most def makes.You feel super comfortable she's super talkative and doesn't make the session awkward while your sitting in front of her with your legs spread open. wShe's super fast and super clean and yes it hurt but wasn't as bad as I thought. Let's face it: Laying on a table spread eagle and having someone rip hairs out is never fun, but Suzi makes it a way better experience than you think it's gonna be! The salon is downtown, easy to get to and I have never waited for more than 2 minutes. She is always on time, which is often rare in the beauty industry! I went to Charmed 3 weeks ago and meet Suzi, I had a manzilian, with cheeks, crack and also my legs done. I have had this done at a couple places before, and have had them kind of complain about doing my legs, I am heavly tattooed so they have said that it is hard to see the hairs, lol, I told Suzi about this and she said that it would be no problem. She got right into business and started with my front side and legs. We had a very pleasant conversation and kept my mind off of the pain and was really good at getting all the hairs off of me, the ones that were left behind she stood there and plucked them out, by the time it came to rolling over and stick my butt into the air with legs apart I was totally comfortable with her doing her job....now mind me...I am a male and we have no problem dropping our pants for a very sweet and beautiful person, but even though Suzi is all of that and more, she kept it all real and did her job very professionaly and I am sure to ho back to her...GOOD JOB SUZI!!!! read more

The first time I scheduled an appointment, it was cancelled because the Esthetician had a migraine. I completely understood, but was taken aback because she didn't offer to reschedule me. I made an appointment about a week later for the next week. When I got to charmed salon, however, no one was there. I texted Susie, and she said she didn't know where Tess was. I didn't hear from Tess until two hours later, and then found out that apparently she didn't know she had an appointment with me. She rescheduled with me, and when I got to my appointment the next day, I was very nervous. It was my first Brazilian wax! IT WAS AWFUL. Pain level was high, but I knew it would be. The esthetician double dipped with the wax. Half way through she changed from soft wax to hard wax. Then, she would reuse the wax several times in order to get the remaining hairs. She didn't put oil on my skin to remove the wax. Instead she put aloe Vera and baby powder on, which, when combined with wax, turns into cement. She missed quite a few areas. So those hairs had baby powder-aloe vera-wax cement all over them. I was not happy at all. The whole experience took over an hour, which I take partial responsibility for. I asked her to pause quite a bit because of the pain. I'm not happy with the overall job, nor am I happy with the communication between the two estheticians. Not communicating to each other what their appointments are is SO unprofessional. I wanted to leave a good review, but a good review wouldn't be an honest or a fair one. read more

I don't really feel that I need to write a review for Suzy because her work speaks for itself but I feel it's important for people who might read some unfair and baseless reviews to really hear from some of her long-term clients not just those who don't have experience with getting waxed by a professional or might have had one bad experience. I've been getting Brazilians for over 10 years, before everyone was doing it. I've only been waxed by four people, two long term (4+ years) and two were due to my search for my "forever" waxer. As generally in life, you shouldn't go spreading your legs for just anyone, they have to be special to get me to drop my panties. :) Anyhow, so I've been going to see Suzy since she opened her Ripon location, I think I might have been her first (or one of her firsts) in Ripon. I was new to the area and had tried two other ladies in Modesto that just didn't cut it. I previously went to the same person for years in Fresno and was about to settle with just driving to Fresno for my Brazilians and then Suzy came into my life. Meant to be I know. She's excellent at what she does, aside from getting waxed by her I've also had her do my facials. She makes you feel comfortable, which is I'm sure not that easy when you're staring at vaginas all day. And if I you don't like something you just speak up and she accommodates. Also, if you have been getting waxed for a while, you know there are certain times, because of hormones or whatever (like when you're PMSing) that waxing will hurt like hell even if you've been doing it forever. I know this, that is why I avoid getting waxed anywhere before my period. So give it a try if you haven't already, wait until after your period, go to Suzy and you'll never look back. read more

I am so happy I chose this place. Suzi, the owner, gladly set my appointment even with such short notice I had given her. Right before we started I was a little anxious but as soon as Suzi started talking I felt like I was talking to my best friend.. and the waxing was over before I even thought about glancing at the clock! This was my second wax (my first was over a year ago and I couldn't finish because it was so painful). At Charmed, the pain was definitely bearable(I got the brazilian) and the quality is absolutely worth the price. EVERY little hair is gone and the brand new "smooth" feeling lasts at least a solid week. I recommend coming to this place if you want quality and comfort for affordable pricing.
