I know they are really busy catching up with their existing clients, so I appreciated the fact she squeezed me in. I made my touch up appt with her before I left. Imagine the little Dutch boy and a chipmunk had a lovechild. That's what I look like after Heather was done with me. She ran 40 minutes behind. Making up, she only highlighted the very top of my hair and just chopped off some strands. Looked brassy at the salon, but Heather assured me it was the lighting. I was hoping for the best. After styling it myself, it got worse. My hair has to lay perfectly in one spot so the streaks won't be too noticeable. What a wonderful Salon experience! The atmosphere is calm. The hair cut and style started with a shampoo and head massage. With a special conditioner. It was wonderful and relaxing. Carissa Callaway is the bomb dot com! Found her through Instagram and fell in love with her style and work. I normally only get my hair done once a year (hair cut & color), but my friend did a not super great job on my hair and the color that I got wasn't as vibrant as I wanted. I scheduled my appointment three weeks in advance for her soonest after 5PM during the week appointment. Walked in right at my appointment time and was seated immediately. Asked me if I would like some water and handed me a contract to read and fill out. She asked me about my hair: what it was like, what shampoo I used, what kind of maintenance I normally do to my hair, and how often I get my hair did. I was kind of vague to her about what I wanted, but I told her that I wanted more blonde in my hair. I showed some screenshots that I saved on my phone and she was confident in her delivery. Carissa used no foil sheets and didn't bother washing my hair first (I was on second-day hair, so I was definitely oily). After waiting in the chair for the dye to set for about 25-30 mins. She took me to the washing station and washed out the dye, shampooed my hair, used conditioner, and added what she called gloss. I kept asking questions about what she was using and why, and I learned the Pantene is the worst shampoo ever (leaves a wax in your hair and is super bad for your hair as there's a lot of build up) and that if I ever use conditioner- to only use it at the ends of my hair and not the roots. She used a lot of Kendra product to which I couldn't tell you what she used but it worked wonders and my hair smelled great! Apparently, there is different types of hair sprays! Blow dried my hair and did a little bit of hair trimming and thinning to give my hair more shape and lessen the weight of how heavy my hair really is. She curled my hair and took pictures for her Instagram. When I first saw my hair, to be honest, I wasn't impressed. But the more I played with it and more she kept exclaiming how much she was in love with it- I started to like it more and more. Today I love it! Still looks great and easy to maintain. Judy Perkins is the best for long hair or layered haircuts! She has been cutting my hair for 10 years. When I was in college in FL, I wouldn't even get a trim by anyone there. I waited until I was back home to Ripon to go see Judy! She makes my semi - wavy hair look great with very minimal effort. I have had SO many complements on my hair since she started cutting it. The salon carries the Amika hair products. Judy recommended the Triple Rx shampoo for my dry hair, and wow, did it make a difference. I came back for the hair mask, The Kure. Great stuff! Upset that the girl Ashely I followed over from another salon decided to drop me suddenly. I was originally scheduled on a Tuesday but after being told I couldnt bring in my laptop (had to stay logged on for work purposes) I rescheduled for 2 Saturdays away, the 20th. When I arrived I messaged my hair stylist to let her know I was there so I could get the okay to come in and she informed me that she didnt have me scheduled for that Saturday but the following, 27th, she realized she made a mistake, apologized and offered a discount for when I come in on the 27th. Then 4 days later I recieved a text saying that she thought it would be best if she no longer did my hair and that I found someone else because she didnt think I liked the way she did my hair. If I didnt like it then why would I keep going back? After not being able to be get my hair done cause of COVID I was very upset and very hurt. She said it was the best decision for her professionally. How is it professional to screw over a client? I asked if she was going to still do my hair for the scheduled Saturday and she said she would have to cancel. Now I have to scramble to get my hair done before a trip I have planned during a time when everyone else is trying to the same. Very unprofessional thing to do. read more

One example.....I showed her a picture of a beautiful actress and said this is what I want. Worst haircut ever. I read reviews beforehand and was excited to have a haircut. I wanted something easy, that I wouldn't have to style everyday. Instead, she cut my hair extremely short and it requires major styling daily. It'll take me years to grow it back. I will never go back to this salon again. The short cut also emphasizes the roundness in my face. Thanks for making me look like an awkward 6th grader when I'm 34. Guess I'll still be pony tailing it until it grows out.
