First time! I got a gift card to this Spa for my birthday and booked the 90 minute facial, but it was Maybe 65 minutes..? I arrived about 5 mins early for my 4:30p-6p appointment, filled out some quick paperwork, used the restroom, then was immediately brought back to the room and changed just my top half into the soft towel wrap -so most likely started at or a little after 4:30p. The facial was lovely. When I was told all done, I got up and changed, then looked at the time and it was only 5:37p.. I tried to mention at checkout it was nice but more like 60 minutes, but either wasn't heard or ignored. I paid majority with the gift card and just a little out of pocket for the diff/tip and left. I'm pregnant and didn't want to get super emotional arguing over it, plus it was a Very nice experience overall -just disappointed at the actual time received. read more

Wow. Megan was absolutely incredible!! I received a 60 minute deep tissue massage & 30 minute cupping session. I left drooling, half asleep, tension relieved, & so relaxed! I had knots that have been bothering my back so much lately and she really worked them out. The thing about deep tissue is that it hurts a bit in the moment, but you feel better later, . Its now the next day and I'm feeling so much better! I had the best nights sleep in a long time, so much so that my kids were all late to school today because I didn't wake up. I was pleasantly surprised how skilled the massage therapist Justice was since she's so young and only been massaging a couple years, some people are just extremely gifted with touch and intuition. One of the better massages I have ever had! Not afraid to do glute work too which was nice and she got really into my shoulders like I had wanted and worked on some old scar tissue. I was 28 weeks pregnant with twins when my husband scheduled a prenatal massage for me. I went in hoping for the best because the amount of pain and discomfort I've been in has been a lot, even walking is taxing due to severe round ligament pain which was obvious as I waddled in. I struggled to get on the massage table by myself, hoping I didn't fall off. There was one flat pillow for my head and then I was given one pillow for support of my choosing. Mind you, having to lay on my sides, I need added support because of how big my belly is. I had to choose to support my belly or put the pillow in between my legs to support the round ligament pain. I chose my legs, which didn't give me the comfort and support I still needed. The back massage was more of a rub down, maybe because I chose "medium" pressure. Then switching to my other side was so difficult. Laying on my back was hard because again the amount of weight on my belly, breathing was not easy. I couldn't get a great foot or leg massage due to pressure points, the therapist didn't want to trigger pre term labor which was understandable so again it was more of a rub down. When she finished I had to figure out a way to get off the table alone without falling off, with round ligament pain and carpal tunnel in both hands. I was terrified and had to manage sitting up on the table then getting off with extreme caution on my own. It definitely wasn't ideal. Would have appreciated more support and comfort before during and after. But the staff was nice and welcoming. I'm sure a normal massage, not pregnant, would have been much more worth it. read more

I was so disappointed in my massage and facial! I have yet to find a great spa in Modesto... my massage was horrible from start to finish, the bed was extremely uncomfortable and the lady was rough and seemed like she didn't like her job at all!! The facial felt like one you get at a beauty school by young amateurs she was very sweet young girl but nothing special at all about my facial very very basic I don't even think I had a mask . My massage therapist was Madison and she was absolutely wonderful! She was attentive and very kind. I appreciated that she checked in with me throughout my massage to make sure I was comfortable with the pressure. Madison worked on my problem areas and helped in relieving tension that had been causing MAJOR discomfort. I left with increased mobility and slept like a Queen. I followed Madison's advice and made sure to drink lots of water which helps in flushing out those toxins and have been stretching to gain continued mobility in my shoulders. Went to my very first Hydrafacial at the Spa Magnolia. Monica was my esthetician after I was referred by someone at Work and saw many great reviews by her. Prior to the Hydrafacial, you have to change into a tube over your bra, but Monica said that you don't really need to change your bottoms. She really wants to ensure that her customers are relaxed so your skin does not react differently. The hydrafacial did not feel painful whatsoever. The only tingly part I would say was the Glycolic Acid first. It was tingly and kind of stung a little bit around my nose, which always usually happens when it comes to my moisturizer because I tend to blow my nose a lot and it gets dry frequently. The extraction part of the hyrdafacial felt like a dermabrasion at most, and felt soothing. Monica was very impressed at the end result (see picture). The gunk that was sucked out of my skin was mostly kind of clear and Monica has said she sees this results after 2-3 Hyrdafacials on clients. This made me feel like my skin wasn't that bad and just needed moisturizers/vitamin c (recommended by Monica). I really liked how in other places they want you to buy their product, but Monica never at once pressured me into buying products. She asked why product line I was using and did not want to use their products since I have a lot at home. The Hydrafacial costed $149 + tip and can cost more if you wanted additional perks. read more

I'm the type that likes the peaceful silence. She occasionally would ask me how I was doing and if the pressure of the massage was okay. *Mikeala did my facial and she was great as well. Very soft hands which was nice for the face. ** tip - the building is shared with a Pilates studio. The bathroom is a 2-3 stall bathroom which is in the hallway between the two areas. So if you need to use the restroom best to do it prior to getting your spa treatment...otherwise you are walking out there in a robe which is awkward considering you could bump into another person from the gym. Even more awkward wearing a long robe to use the toilet. I ended up taking off the robe and hanging it before sitting on toilet which was weird considering I was in my bra and panties. Guess I could have thought that one through a little better. Live and learn. read more
