I live in Florida 1/2 the year and in West Reading for several months in the summer....I stopped having pedicures in Florida because the pedicures were too quick and unprofessional at the many different nail salons I visited. I came in to get a few nails repaired and the ladies clearly knew I wasn't a regular. I received a bad look as soon as I walked in the door. Little did they know, I was also going to get a pedicure. Clearly the nail technician didn't want to only fix two nails and lied and said they didn't do acrylic nails. I've had my nails done there before with acrylic. I went to Glossy Nails instead and had a wonderful experience. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. read more

So I just moved here a week ago from Orlando, FL and am trying to find a nail place to go to. This location is walking distance from me so I decided to try it out. I'm not sure if this is how things are done up here but I did not enjoy my pedicure experience. I knew there was a problem when she started filing my nails with a file that seemed to be from the dollar store. It was small, thin, and barely did anything. My next problem was with the way she cut my cuticles, fast and painful. She barely got anything and she also didn't cut the sides of my toenails at all. She didn't dig under my nails to get any dirt out either. The pumice stone they used is also small and cheap and barely did anything. Then what really just took me out was she got a drill to sand my feet with. Now I know I was a little overdue for a pedi but my feet were not THAT BAD. I was embarrassed to say the least and also a nail drill is not supposed to be in contact with skin! To top it off, my polish was wrinkled. I had polish on my toes. And their pedicures are $29! Back home they're like $20. All in all I'm not sure if I will be back. Maybe to see how they do manicures. But this experience was a turn off. read more

The atmosphere is very warm, inviting and classy. The initial greeting wasn't very inviting. I was immediately told "pick a color" without being instructed what kind of polish was where. The technician for both my mani and pedi was very gentle and friendly though. I do not think dip manicures is their specialty. When I left I already felt they were thicker than when I got them other places in the past. This is my manicure after only 1 week. If you've had dip acrylic you know it usually lasts up to 3 weeks or more without so much as a chip. Even my gel pedicure did not last more than a week. Maybe the technician was inexperienced. I have been to every nail salon around, and it's always the same thing: they start out great, and then it becomes a sloppy, rushed job just to make an extra buck from walk-ins. Not here. Peter, the owner, has created the most beautiful, calming, clean salon around! They rarely take walk-ins, so there's nobody milling about or talking on their phones. No screaming kids. The techs aren't rushing your services to get the next person in the chair. On the contrary, they make you feel like the only one that matters! In town for work for a few weeks and made an apt. here for a mani/pedi with gel polish. The salon itself is very clean, warm, and inviting. I had the same Technician for both services and I found her to be friendly and welcoming. She did a great job with both the pedicure and manicure - I didn't feel rushed or hurried whatsoever which is sometimes the case. What I really noticed is that as the salon filled up with appoontments, the technicians seemed to greet everyone by name with a smile (obviously regulars). It was a welcome surprise to see how much they cared. I'll definitely be back before I head home to Arizona :) read more

I would honestly give this place zero stars if I could. I had an appointment with my daughter and 2 others. Due the volume of traffic and parking issues this time of year we were 2 mins late and the owner called to see if we were coming. I have never had a salon call after 2 mins. When we arrived, I said that I did not want gel polish for my manicure. My daughter and her friend were seated immediately. A walk-in came in to get gel refills ( keep in mind that I had an appointment). The owner took the refill and I had to wait. My other friend was getting a pedi so I sat in the back and chatted with her. By the time all of my party was finished, I was so disgusted with my treatment that I said no and I will not return. I know that the owner made we wait because he was going to make more money on the refill than on my manicure. This is NOT the way to run a business. At this point I really wished I had asked to see every employees license to check that it was still valid. My recommendation is to not visit a place where the customers do not matter, only money does. read more

This is the best nail salon I have ever been to for a pedicure and manicure. They really clean up your cuticles and provide a great relaxing massage of your hands and feet. You always feel welcomed and the care they provide to give you the best pedicure and or manicure definitely deserves a 5 -star rating. I just finished getting a pedicure from this place. This is the second time I've been here and I do not recommend this place AT ALL. The first time I went I received a French pedicure. It was okay but the lines were a little crooked. Today I wanted designs on my nails like the ones I saw on Pinterest so I showed the tech the photos and now my toes look like a Pinterest fail! On top of that it was a Friday and super busy even though we scheduled our appointments a week in advance. They tried to rush my friend and I and once they were done the lady said "ok done, go sit on chair". There is only 1 station to sit at to dry your nails and by the time I was done there were no seats. There were 2 women taking up spots that didn't even need drying. How annoying. To top it off, the pedis cost $34 which is outlandish considering the quality. I'm going to post the photo of the Pinterest fail that came out of today's visit. I'm surprised they didn't consider giving a discount for the poor job they did. My friend who went in also had poor results so I know it's not just me. read more

Got my refill done here and the acrylic was over the top of my cuticles so two days after there was a space at the top of my nails causing my hair to get stuck in that space. I am in Reading for a medical school rotation this month (M-F) and needed to get my nails done. I went in and it was obvious that the man doing my nails was rushing. He didn't even cut my cuticles. He only dipped my nails maybe twice, just slathered top coat on haphazardly, making the nails uneven and some even having a drip on them. The next day, 1 nail chipped. I was annoyed but figured, whatever, I don't need to go back for 1 nail. But then after 3 days passing, 4 nails have chipped. I called to see if I could come in and have them fixed for no charge, since they are the powder dip and should last 2 weeks, and the man on the phone was quite rude. He informed me that I should have called immediately upon 1 chipping. Unfortunately, I don't have unlimited time to call them within their business hours, so I did it when I could. I asked for an appointment during the week around 5:30pm, and he was not happy about it. He said normally after 4 days they charge to fix the nails - even though he admitted that they should last a minimum of 2 weeks. He finally agreed for me to come in 6 days after my original appointment and have them fixed for free (Tuesday instead of Saturday, because I am not in Reading Friday evening-Sunday night), but even so was very rude about it. I am hopeful that he will fix them at no charge, but until then I have to give them a 1. read more

Best nail salon I've ever been to. Always clean. Great color selection. With the spa pedicure I've gotten the longest massages of legs/feet of any salon I've ever been to. They line the pedicure bowls with new plastic liners for each use and you watch them clean immediately after which is not always the case elsewhere. Annie is the best-I feel like I always have the best nails when I leave! Prices are very reasonable. The salon has a classy, well-kept appearance. I've never had an issue with parking. I want to give you all a belated but unfortunate update. My nails were ruined after my one visit here. I had very sensitive nail beds and I had paid for gel nails but I ended up getting acrylic. They shaved my nails down so much that the glue wouldn't come off for awhile as with part of the nail itself or it would've taken my natural nail off so I had to go to my new favorite salon in the area to get them fixed. It was painful, a long process for my nails to recuperate, I had to wait sometime for service, and was not treated very well. I will never return and I suggest others do not go here as a first time customer for a gel full set. read more

i always went here to get my eyebrows done (for 2+ yrs now). i went about a week ago to get my eyebrows done for my trip for DR. i have a sensitive time with wax because my skin gets very irrated but i decided to take a chance to get them done before my trip and was BEYOND disappointed! eyebrows are 7-8$ MAX! never had to pay more. i went in there with the expectation of paying MAYBE 10$ MAX (because of inflation). i laid down and i told the lady "please don't thin them" and she was waxing and i felt the wax on my lashes. she did NOT pull any lashes out (just to let that be known). i get up and look at my brows and they are SUPER sloppy. she took no hair off of the brows, AT ALL. so i asked her to pluck them and pointed to the hairs she missed. she went back and waxed my brows again. while she was doing that, the main guy came over and was looking at me asking her to get the hairs she missed and started speaking their language in front of me. i looked again and asked her to fix my brows cause she missed them AGAIN. i told her to please take some extra hairs that she missed off, and the whole time... the main guy was staring at me. i went to pay after this. he said, "13$" i said, "how is it 13$?" and very rudely he said, "it's 13 BECAUSE ITS 13$!" which was so rude. i usually leave an appropriate tip and i didn't and it made me very sad because i think everyone deserves a tip for their service (even if it's a 1$) but the treatment was HORRIBLE...! never will go there again and you should NEVER go... DO NOT give them your money!!! read more

I visited in mid February prior to leaving on an extended international trip. I made an appointment for a gel manicure and pedicure. While I was there, the staff tried to talk me out of the manicure because they had "regulars" walk in and wanted to take care of them instead. Turns out that my pedicure wasn't gel and my manicure peeled before I boarded the plane two days later. $75. I was treated poorly and didn't get what I paid for. Was in the salon twice for a manicure and pedicure. The first time, I had an excellent experience. All the ladies were very nice, especially Lina who did my nails. The salon is open until 7pm. The ladies started cleaning up around 645 while I was letting my nails dry. One of the ladies put on a coat of clear polish and said I was good to go. I wanted to let my nails dry a little more, but I felt pressured to leave so they could clean up. The second time I was there was not pleasant. There was a man this time answering phones and ordering the girls what to do. The atmosphere of the salon was drastically different than the first time when this man was not present. The ladies were very quiet and were more concerned the man was there rather than focusing on the clients. I was there with my mom. Lina was in the process of giving her a pedicure when a woman walked in and told this man she wanted Lina to do her pedicure. Lina hesitated since she had already started on my mom, but the man demanded she tend to the woman who just walked in. So my mom sat there waiting for a few minutes before another lady came over to finish her pedicure. So very rude. When my Mom was letting her nails dry, Lina came over to her and apologized to her. It wasn't Lina's fault; it was the man in charge. When I was letting my nails dry, a few minutes into it, the man came over to me, touched 2 o my nails and said I was ready to go. I said I wanted a few more minutes to let them dry. A few minutes later, he came over to me again, touched a nailing my other hand and said told me a second time, my nails were dry and I could leave. When I got to my car and was on my way home, I noticed one of the nails he touched was smudged! They were obviously not dry enough! I will never go back there bc of this rude man. It's a shame bc of the ladies do a very nice job, but the man is intolerable and extremely rude to clients. read more
