I had already paid for that month and customer service said they don't refund but immediately turned off service that's been paid for.I was told I needed to send back remotes and modems... they didn't want back the ugly satellite that's on my roof. I got another charge for the shipping and boxes they provided to send back equipment in. When I called and told them that they had a full months of service payments without the service and they are charging me for boxes that I sent back. I want them to come take down there satellite dish. she tells me the closest dealer is in another state and I would have to call them to get it removed. This company doesn't deserve to have any business! I can't stand business companies that rip off customers.

Nobody should be demanding proof of death before they release you from responsibility. My parents had Dish for 27 years and had several upgrades to their service over the years. At the time of his death they were in a contract and we asked to return the equipment. I do not understand why a death certificate is warranted to end a contract or they would charge a $200 plus fee to cancel the services. Along comes something shiny that seems too good to be true. We'll never know. As a new subscriber, I'm entitled to a free self install/setup (which never works because there's usually a problem with the wiring). They also threw in some perks that appealed to me. We'll give them another chance. When I explained that I'll fix the wiring, been doing it for years, they told me it was far too complicated for me to do. She wouldn't let it go. Her tech can be out on Wednesday. Oh, and it will cost $100+. To do What? As nice as I could I explained that there was no need to do a truck roll, I will fix the physical problem if she could troubleshoot the technical stuff. I guess not. It came down to an ultimatum of either the technician comes out for free or we call the whole thing off. I guess this company needs every last nickel. They wouldn't budge. BTW, I easily repaired the issue with the wire and it would've been a win-win had customer service treated us the way they used to in the past. I'm so discouraged, I don't want to deal with ANY more customer reps. 01/25

Also, I wasn't happy that the router was installed in the master but our pc's are in the front of the house.. Problems arose when trying to stream etc... Today's tech: David went above and beyond!!! He immediately required from outside to inside of the garage...very professional and clean lines.. The fiber that was installed through the crawlspace and on my flooring in the back of the house) created issues. David arrived around 3 pm and left around two and a half hours later.. Checked all the signals and made sure everything was up and running.. Excellent customer service! Thank you David for making one happy Att customer!!

When you walk in the store is divided into sections with the emphasis on their mobile phones. Services like Internet, cable TV and related are the other end of the store. You sign in on a (filthy, even by pre-COVID standards) touch screen that was so dirty I felt like I needed to wash my hands after interacting with it. When you finally got to talk to someone they were friendly enough and tried to help but it was going to be over a 2 hour wait time just to return my Internet device. I ended up going to the UPS store to do this. It's free to drop off there - just be sure you keep your receipt. It took Charter over a week to realize the device was returned and credit the account back. Charter and companies like that get away with the lack of customer service because there isn't a lot of competition. WIth 5G and high speed satellite Internet coming online that is about to change. It will be interesting to see if that finally get's them to fix their customer service issues.
