Along comes something shiny that seems too good to be true. We'll never know. As a new subscriber, I'm entitled to a free self install/setup (which never works because there's usually a problem with the wiring). They also threw in some perks that appealed to me. We'll give them another chance. When I explained that I'll fix the wiring, been doing it for years, they told me it was far too complicated for me to do. She wouldn't let it go. Her tech can be out on Wednesday. Oh, and it will cost $100+. To do What? As nice as I could I explained that there was no need to do a truck roll, I will fix the physical problem if she could troubleshoot the technical stuff. I guess not. It came down to an ultimatum of either the technician comes out for free or we call the whole thing off. I guess this company needs every last nickel. They wouldn't budge. BTW, I easily repaired the issue with the wire and it would've been a win-win had customer service treated us the way they used to in the past. I'm so discouraged, I don't want to deal with ANY more customer reps. 01/25

Also, I wasn't happy that the router was installed in the master but our pc's are in the front of the house.. Problems arose when trying to stream etc... Today's tech: David went above and beyond!!! He immediately required from outside to inside of the garage...very professional and clean lines.. The fiber that was installed through the crawlspace and on my flooring in the back of the house) created issues. David arrived around 3 pm and left around two and a half hours later.. Checked all the signals and made sure everything was up and running.. Excellent customer service! Thank you David for making one happy Att customer!!

I needed to run by the Charter Store in Smithridge to return a piece of equipment. This place is a…read morebit of a joke. I think they are dealing with a lot of mismanagement. When you walk in the store is divided into sections with the emphasis on their mobile phones. Services like Internet, cable TV and related are the other end of the store. You sign in on a (filthy, even by pre-COVID standards) touch screen that was so dirty I felt like I needed to wash my hands after interacting with it. When you finally got to talk to someone they were friendly enough and tried to help but it was going to be over a 2 hour wait time just to return my Internet device. I ended up going to the UPS store to do this. It's free to drop off there - just be sure you keep your receipt. It took Charter over a week to realize the device was returned and credit the account back. Charter and companies like that get away with the lack of customer service because there isn't a lot of competition. WIth 5G and high speed satellite Internet coming online that is about to change. It will be interesting to see if that finally get's them to fix their customer service issues.

Found out that they did not set it up. Discussed setting it up. Picked new channels and everything. Got a whopping bill in May. Called again. Said that they should have told you that I had to pick up a new modem to change the plan for the TV channels. Never was told this before.

I've had Spectrum Business Internet for over four years. The service itself is all well and great…read more Speed is wonderful and as long as you don't need customer service everything is fine. We're in the midst of moving to a new location, and the new location is not serviced by Spectrum. I'm not happy to HAVE to leave Spectrum, but boy did they burn their bridges today. I called to cancel my service EFFECTIVE next month. As soon as the call finished, I returned to my computer to continue what I had been doing, only to find I had no internet. I redialed *the very same number* I had just disconnected from, and the automated system says something along the lines "we recognize your number as a residential customer ...." [um, no, I'm a business customer but okay let's keep rolling]. I won't detail the conversation, but each person I spoke with transferred me to another person. At the end of the 35 minute phone call I had spoken with FIVE different people before they reconnected my internet. I'll miss the high speed - but I am hopeful that my new LOCAL internet service will provide me with top notch customer service.

There is not a spectrum store any where close to be able to drop off the equipment. Asked for a mailing address to ship it back and they would not provide one. Stated I can go to dedicated Spectrum UPS and have them ship it or a retail Spectrum store to return the equipment. I tried to explain that none of those options will work as I am not driving over an hour to do that when I am willing to pay the shipping at the post office. I don't want to drive over an hour to sit in there store for hours as I have done that before. Customer service is horrible. They need to figure that out. I am glad I won't have to deal with this in the new location I am moving too as they do not service that area. Oh the funny thing is the guy I spoke with said I can take it to a location once we move and gave me the area. Yeah that is over 2 hours away from where we are moving too. What a joke.
