I cannot recommend EONI highly enough! My family and I, have been customer's for nearly 10 years,…read morethey are the best of the best in my opinion. Always great service, internet speeds are reliable and almost always up. When they are down, very rarely for us, it's because of a power outage or extreme weather. We're on their wireless, any harsh winter weather can affect the tower, high on the mountain we get the signal from. If you truly want great service, reliability, prices and people. Please look to EONI. The owner, a very nice person, got involved personally; to help us resolve a pesky problem a few years ago. Also, the staff is awesome. This has been our personal experience always, and simply cannot say enough good. Thank you EONI for always being, the best of the best! Jess & family North Powder, Oregon

If you are paying for internet at a residence and decide to discontinue your internet service…read morebecause you are moving, DO NOT inform them that you are moving. They will take advantage of you. When my partner and I moved from our residence in Joseph (where we had Eastern Oregon Net Inc. servicing), we called EONI to cancel our internet The EONI representative informed us that we were lucky, because we called on the last day of our billing period, and would not owe anything! We thought that was awesome, but we were also a little baffled that it was so easy to just cancel and that was that, nothing else had to be done, no more bills to be paid. 3 Months later (where did the 1 month, 2 month bill go?) we receive a bill saying that we owe 3 months of internet service to a house we were no longer living in. Wait a second, I thought we cancelled and thought we didn't owe anything? On top of that, after being miles away, they informed us that we must return our internet box. Yes, this seems like something that should have been done, but they didn't request it until we were miles away from the home were previously renting from. Plus, the box was already there when we moved in? If we don't return it we will be charged. What bothered me most about doing business with EONI is not the fact that they made mistakes in billing us and appropriately communicating with us the true steps in cancelling our internet. What is very upsetting is that when I tried to communicate my frustrations as a misinformed client, they handled it very unprofessionally. In my years of doing business as a manager and as a client, I have rarely experienced a negative interaction where a problem couldn't be fixed, and the customers needs did not come first. My entire phone interaction involved me being repeatedly passed from person to person until they handed me with the most intimidating person to talk to. This person was absolutely unconcerned in how I felt about my service and what they could do to try and resolve the problem, and admitted to making the mistake but would not make up for it. I can't help but feel that we were taken advantage of. And we suffered, because we listened to what they told us. I feel walked over because they don't seem to care about the situation we were put in. I strongly believe that EONI took an opportunity to scam a young couple that they knew would be moving far away and be stuck to keep paying for a service they were informed they wouldn't be. From other eastern Oregonians I have spoke with, I gather that this company does in fact scam you when they get the opportunity and they use intimidation to keep residents paying unnecessary fees. Their business ethics do not represent the EO communities (La Grande, Enterprise, Joseph), who look out for each other and treat every customer like family. Their wireless internet pricing rips off residents and is extremely unreasonable for young people who are still trying to get settled and must move once in awhile. http://home.eoni.com/accessWireless_pricing.cfm I know I am not the only client to feel this way and I hope that others will share their experiences as well.
