The new generation of workers are absolutely unprofessional and attitudes are spiraling..I had the rudest teller-Eilu or Iluo( she didn't not want to provide her name because she know she was out of line) she had asked me what I am there for so as I was handing her my check and ids I told her " cashing my check" then she proceeds to ask me again so I say it in a slower manner so she could hear me. She then got upset and asked me " is there a reason you are being rude" I told her "no I'm just saying it like this so you could hear me" she then proceeds to have the worst attitude the entire time stating that she doesn't have to say sorry...NO ONE ASKED HER TOO, I just pointed out how there are ways to ask kindly especially if you are the one providing basic customer service. Her demeanor was to be rude the entire time, tossing my ids back to me and just tossing me my cash with no envelope like I ask her nicely for. Add me to the long list of disgruntled former WAMU customers who hate Chase Bank. I went into the bank recently to get something from my safety deposit box. Now, when this bank was WAMU, this was a very simple procedure. You wait in line for a teller, they check your ID and sign you in, and then take you to the boxes. When I arrived this time, I was asked to sign in and wait on a couch. So I did. And I'm waiting and waiting... Finally, I asked a teller if he knew why I was having to wait and what was happening. He said that with Chase, tellers no longer have access to the safety deposit boxes. Only the manager does. So, if you want to access your box you have to wait in line behind everyone who is opening an account, filling out loan paperwork, and all those other time consuming tasks. I protested to the manager when he passed by and was basically told tough cookies. So, let me get this straight. In order to access my box I now have to wait upwards of 30 or 45 minutes? For something that takes less than two minutes from beginning to end? Does this seem to make ANY KIND OF SENSE?! In confidence, one of the bank employees told me that they all think it's stupid, too. That they all hate Chase policy and that their customers hate Chase policy. I've already moved all my money from this bank to a credit union and am on the hunt for a new safety deposit box at a location that will make it convenient to access said box. And I know I won't be the only one to do so. read more

Needed to get something notarized and no other nearby bank branches would help me out unless it was a bank document. When I called this branch, a nice lady on the phone said that the notary on-site could possibly do it if it wasn't too complicated. She gave me his avails and I stopped by soon after. I was initially told that they only notarize Chase documents, but when I mentioned my earlier phone convo, my request was approved. Christian M. was nice to talk to while he quickly notarized my document, and I wasn't charged anything because I'm a Chase customer. Was in and out in 10 minutes, thanks Christian! read more

Just dropped by to do a quick transaction. This is a small and very inconvient branch, it's shaped like a pie slice at the corner of Santa Monica and Wilshire. Parking is horrible, and they only validate for the time you are physically in the branch. The interior is nicely decorated, but the staff is "so and so". read more

Chase is the worst, horrible bank ever! How Bad of a bank do you have to be to not except CASH deposits for friends or family accounts, with that said that means the tellers were so badly trained in the past that they couldn't tell FAKE cash from Real Cash in the past so Now the customers have to suffer from their stupidity!!! Especially if your bank is located in the heart of Beverly Hills, where there are tons of tourist, and many celebrities with all kinds of cash in their pocket to spend... Have you noticed that most reviews on YELP are for restaurants? I don't know why, but we must be living in the decade of the "foodie". But trust me, there is a big world beyond the self-absorbed, YELP-induced-hysteria of the latest-greatest-triendiest food on your fork penetrating your mouth. That big world is called "doing sh*t which does not involve going to a restaurant" (insert frown here). So what does this have to do with a bank review? Your bank is one of your anchors in life. Like it or not, we live in a monetarily driven society and unless you're dealing only in cash, chances are your money is coming and going through your bank account. You trust your bank to keep your money safe, so that you can lead your merry life, go to restaurants, and YELP about it (to your 400 + friends who eagerly await with baited breath your latest hot-new-Asian-fusion or Mozza-clone restaurant review). In other words, your bank is integral and important to your life, yet does not seem to be Yelp-trendy to review. Thus said, the people at Chase Bank at Wilshire/La Cienega will serve you with a smile. Most of the tellers at this branch have been here for a long time, and they are super nice. read more

this bank is as bad at it gets. custumer service on the phone ? good luck. trying to explain why you were not late on a CC payment ? good luck. recently i was making a payment in the beverly hills branch because the check I deposited was having no sufficient funds. this was a morgage payment. so i go in and said here is my check for the check which will bounce.. please take it and they said no. first the check has to actually bounce then they can apply a payment. i said no, just take this check and i dont want to risk a negative credit report. they would not take it. when the check finally bounced...2 months later (why does it take so long anyways....) i was awarded with a 30 days late payment by chase on my morgage. no explaining an begging helpeed. they just did not care to hear my storry and the peroson who told me not to deposit the check...does not work there anymore. read more

We switched to this bank & branch about a year ago when we moved to the area and couldn't be happier. Lots of banks don't seem to care about you once they have your $$$, so wasn't expecting much, but have been very pleasantly surprised - the tellers are very nice and friendly and the managers are always extremely helpful in every situation. And Chase online banking and credit card selection is definitely the best by far. Highly appreciated. read more
