We had an appointment today 01/27/25 at 11am the transaction went very smoothly I want to give a special thanks to the two tellers (two women) and the employee who was a translator for us (a man) I wish I got all of their names there was a total of three people helping us who were all helpful. But the reason I am writing this review is because while I was waiting, the security was the highlight of our trip to East West Bank. He was so polite, kind, and helpful. Greeted us immediately as we walked into the building and also greeted every single person after. He was so helpful. As I waited for my friend who was with the tellers, him and I spoke. I had joined in this branch and it is one of the best bank I've been dealing with. I gave their service 10+ customer service are amazing and the managers great Any time when i go there I I get the best of service they always give me extra attention to make sure I am satisfied of there service. The manager Gohira is always sharp to answer. Any question.. through the years I've been there same treatment they give to everybody the best of service and if I ever have any question and I call the manager always answer. I went in to close an account and the bank teller was quite incompetent at communicating. I made it very clear that I wanted to come pick up a check on Monday and I did not care for the few cents in interest that I would accrue for an extra day. He assured me that I could come in and pick it up. It was not ready when I came to pick it up and he seemed to be confused. I had to sign another slip that I had initially signed before. He had lost that slip, I guess. Also, there was a problem with some other branch and I had to wait for quite awhile. Talking to this teller was like talking to a brick wall. It was not a conversation. He was stuck on those extra cents in interest that I could accrue, while all I wanted was to make it fast and come in and pick up the check as he had promised the last week. I was also quite clear that I could not stay with the bank and he kept trying to convince me otherwise. It was extremely annoying. He had no solution to my dilemmas and was not listening to my answers AT ALL! Derek, the manager, finally got involved and it got resolved. Deal with Derek when you get in. Don't bother with the other people that work there. One saving grace was that the manager called me to discuss and apologize for the customer service the following day. read more
