We settled on Idaho Central credit Union because it has a good reputation and Idaho, and we have a lot of friends and family members who utilize them. We went to the Coeur d'Alene branch to get the account set up and the personal banker that helped us was absolutely phenomenal. She was super helpful did an excellent job of helping us get everything set up. I also was very stressed and rushed during the whole interaction and she did a great job dealing with me and still making sure that everything got done. Her name is Katherine Caldwell and she was absolutely awesome. Everybody else who's helped us at this branch has also been super helpful and thoughtful. We've had a great experience every time we've been in. Just be aware this location is not open on Saturdays.

Maybe the bank is ok but their credit card service is the worst! They have terrible security and if…read moreyou call in promptly to let them know you may have a compromised card and to freeze it and send a new card... you still may not be safe. I contacted them after my sim card from my phone was hijacked to let them know I have not and will not be charging anything and to freeze my card. I had no new charges yet or fraud yet. 3 days later I checked on it and they allowed an $8000 wire transfer (plus $300+ in transfer fees) to someone else's bank that is only located in Florida to go through and now they are still not finishing the fraud claim. I have sent piles of proof that it was not me and that I have never been to this place or even had knowledge of this strange credit union that they released my money to. I had records from the phone company proving the breech on all 4 of our phone numbers. I have had scores in the 800s, had low balances with them and never been late with a single payment for over 6 years. I have never once done a wire transfer or utilized bank transfers or cash from my card as I would never do that. They still are making me worry they will try to stick me with this huge fraudulent charge partially caused by their neglect. They continued texting the hijacked phone number for approvals etc. weeks after I reported I had no control over that number and that the criminal hackers would receive those calls/texts. They already tried to deny the first fraud report and now understand they made that decision in error but... almost 50 days later it is still showing that I still owe for this huge error and for their lack of attention to the security. No regard for their clients and loyal customers. No care at all for what mistakes they make. I am left stressed and worried that I may have to retain an attorney to actually get them to fix what they have done and properly record this fraudulent charge. I do not trust this credit card or their security to protect their clients. I never thought that something like this could happen to me. The kicker is they won't release the name and address or account info for the receiving party that got my funds so that I can properly report it to the FBI.
