We settled on Idaho Central credit Union because it has a good reputation and Idaho, and we have a lot of friends and family members who utilize them. We went to the Coeur d'Alene branch to get the account set up and the personal banker that helped us was absolutely phenomenal. She was super helpful did an excellent job of helping us get everything set up. I also was very stressed and rushed during the whole interaction and she did a great job dealing with me and still making sure that everything got done. Her name is Katherine Caldwell and she was absolutely awesome. Everybody else who's helped us at this branch has also been super helpful and thoughtful. We've had a great experience every time we've been in. Just be aware this location is not open on Saturdays.

The teller Tabitha then stated she needed to get authorization by BRIAN VOLK. Upon speaking to VOLK he informed me of a charged off checking account of something like $114.00! Unsure. Brain VOLK asked to speak with me, confirming payment arrangement towards my Savings Account. VOLK then diverged to discuss the charged off checking account. He wanted me to that by WORD OF MOUTH ONLY with no tracking or noting my account. Mr. VOLK ALSO THREATENED FURTHER FINANCIAL RECUSSIONS. I responded, You don't need to threaten me after which I returned to phone receiver to Tabitha. After arriving at home 7-31-2026, I called member services at (208) 637-8668 at approximately 5:31pm PDT and 5:46 pm PDT and spoke to NAVEA. She confirmed they only do text messages and NO PAYMENT IS NOTED ON MY ACCOUNT. ICCU NEEDS TO Provide method to track payments for charged off account checking account. Currently, VOLK and NAVEA of Member services WILL NOT PROVIDE ANY RECORD OF PAYMENTS MADE FOR THE CHARGED OFF ACCOUNT! Their online banking is atrocious, literally a throw back to 20 years ago. Their app is also terrible. I just had a mobile deposit get declined, yet no explanation for why. I tried calling to determine what the issue was..... Got an our of country call center. I've never had a deposit declined by Wells Fargo, Capital One, or my Credit Union. The only reason I bank here is because my uncle did and I set up his estate account here. I can hardly wait to close that account and wash by hands of MW.

It's like the standard for providing good customer service is zero, so why should they apologize. They are responsible for managing your money but never say we apologize for all of the mistakes we make. It feels cultish when you visit any branch. I just have this feeling they are on their way out. They couldn't possibly sustain when there is no customer service standard and no one cares. It's perplexing.

I'd make regular payment and some would go toward the principal and interest. Once everything started to be managed by Alaska they changed the statement date ans due dates so basically now my entire payment would only go toward interest. Look at any other credit union besides this one, I ended up going with Gesa and doing a loan with them to pay off that one since they Global now is so horrible. Gesa is doing the loan right which is how Global was doing it before Alaska took over.

Horrific customer service and poor attitude…read more I went in and would need a banker to process a transaction (not a teller). They said they were too busy and I'd have to come back. The person was sitting there chatting up an employee, not working. I told them I needed this to happen today. They said I'm more than welcome to close my account. Bank of America had no problem taking care of my request. It took 5 minutes and they did it with a smile.
